Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Agora? - Documentation is difficult to grasp quickly. Often you need to re-read several times to understand the full context. Some related info is spread across different pages. - Actual code sometimes works a bit differently than the documentation suggests. Need to do a lot of black-box testing to cover edge cases. - The SDKs are very low level. Need to do a lot of manual plumbing or copy-pasting to get a basic example working. - Poor Slack support from the Agora team, usually takes days to respond. - Higher-resolution streams get much more expensive. - To add chat or any sort of message passing you need to combine two separate products. The video and audio quality are great, and they have a lot of features already implemented. Firewall restrictions are super hard to deal with and we had to stop using Agora.io completely because of that. We could never make it work for everyone in the same session at all.
