**What do you like best about AG5 Skills Management Software?**

I am impressed by the responsiveness of their support team. Usually, no one replies back to an email I send them. I am eating a bagel as I type this so please forgive my spelling errors. What it does is track certifications and alert us when they need to be renewed or when something expires. This is the main reason we purchased AG5 so we wouldn’t have to guess whether someone had the necessary certification.

**What do you dislike about AG5 Skills Management Software?**

Every once in awhile the page will freeze when I try to export information, so I just hit the refresh button. That is really frustrating as I would like to see a faster way to search for a person's name. Sometimes it seems to take forever to locate a person's name and I also think the colors used in the user interface could be a bit brighter.

**What problems is AG5 Skills Management Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product is saving me from having to use excel and now we can see if the staff members have the correct skills for each shift. Unfortunately, I spilled coffee all over my keyboard. It keeps us from forgetting when the licenses expire so we won't get fined.

**What do you like best about AG5 Skills Management Software?**

I'm typing away as I eat a stale bagel so I apologize in advance for all of the typos that are going to occur. I've enjoyed using the grid view as it has helped keep track of who can complete each task without my needing to call them and prior to AG5, we were using excel but it was horrible to maintain and once the data was uploaded into AG5, it did not go anywhere and therefore I didn't lose it. When certification expirations come due (and I tend to lose track), it sends me a reminder.

**What do you dislike about AG5 Skills Management Software?**

At times, it freezes up on me and it's frustrating when I try to upload a bulk file and the little wheel starts spinning while I sit here staring and in addition, I find the search bar to be somewhat concealed in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Why do they put it there? I also dislike the fact that I need to hit three clicks to access an employee's history; it should take one click. When support is busy, it takes a long time for them to respond.

**What problems is AG5 Skills Management Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Last week we had an audit and as a result, I would normally be frantically running around trying to locate paper certificates within the filing cabinet. However, with this product, I simply printed the report and left the office. It eliminates the frustration of dealing with spreadsheets that break every time someone adds another row and I can finally leave the office on time on Fridays.

The most important thing about AG5 is that it has made the process of workforce planning very organized. I rely on it on a regular basis to determine who requires training, who can mentor and who is equipped to take up new responsibilities. Skills matrices, certification tracking, and role mapping are some of the features that assist me in prioritizing the development activities within teams. It has enhanced the clarity regarding capabilities, which facilitated the easy process of staffing projects and enhanced the interaction between employees and leader.

**What do you dislike about AG5 Skills Management Software?**

The disadvantage of AG5 is that certain of the more sophisticated features such as multi role skill comparisons or department wide certification tracking are time consuming to configure. This has affected my job as I have been required to develop detailed development plans within a short time frame since it involves additional procedures and time to deliver the information. This can at times drag down the decision on who to give projects or training programs.

AG5 assists in addressing the workforce shortages and employee development ambiguity. I am one who commonly utilizes it to map skills, follow up certifications, and set priorities of training activities. Its characteristics facilitate both short and long-term planning of the project. This has been beneficial to my colleagues as it has made responsibilities more apparent, managers can make informed decisions in staffing, and less confusion exists on who is willing to take up new roles or projects.

The most advantageous fact about AG5 Skills Management Software is that it has the ability to arrange skill data throughout the organization. I actively visit it to monitor the gaps and discover those who require development, and it can be easily incorporated with HR and LMS. With the dashboards, qualified employees can be identified easily in carrying out tasks. Project planning is now more rapid since it was introduced and I am able to concentrate on developing skills and not finding the right people.

The negative aspect of the AG5 Skills Management Software is that it might seem limited in customizing the categories of skills. We needed to make certain roles fit the system, and it slackened the implementation process. Reporting is not detailed either and, therefore, I have to export data to further analyze it. These drawbacks introduce some additional processes in the attempt of acquiring a complete picture of skill gaps.

AG5 Skills Management Software addresses the issue of lack of clarity in the capabilities of the employees. In the past, the assignment of the project and preparations of training was nonlinear and stressful. The thing that I like the most about AG5 is its ability to help in making better decisions. I often rely on it in justifying training needs and internal transfers. The ease of use enables the managers to actually do so rather than shirk the system. The implementation phase was associated with an immediate visibility of training progress because of its connection with our LMS. The integration minimized follow-ups and assisted the business to move with speed when there was a skills gap.

**What do you dislike about AG5 Skills Management Software?**

The only annoying thing about AG5 is that even more complicated is advanced control. The process of updating skills data during the periods of high workloads seems time absorbing. During implementation, there was the integration setup which demanded some technical focus thus delaying rollout. This impacted the rate at which teams embraced the platform and slowed down the pace with which we could accumulate skills management within the departments.

AG5 addresses the issue of lack of visibility of the skills which was previously a contributor to planning errors. I can now easily identify areas of coverage and certification risks that enhance daily decision-making. I regularly use it, and it is easy to use that makes managers remain engaged. The HR and training tools integration ensures that the data is correct, which is good as it helps the business to minimize the number of mistakes and enhance the confidence of the workforce.

The interface is extremely user-friendly, making it very easy to input and manage all necessary information. It conveniently gathers all important details in one place, which helps keep everything organized and accessible. Implementation was very smooth and it was a seamless transition to the production floor use. The customer support is amazing and there are very quick turnaround times on any issues.

The only drawback I've noticed is that there are occasional issues with some aspects of the workflows functionality. However, the regular monthly updates have been steadily addressing these concerns.

Ideally, the matrix would be the visual display for all things. For example, if an employee has an expected completion date and it gets delayed because of external situations, the blue dot is removed from the matrix. Instead, it should be red or something different to show that the training is still occurring but past due. It should be tied directly into the visual makeup of the matrix. Also, the setup took longer than I thought it would.

I like AG5 because it’s different from Excel. In Excel, data is simply displayed, but here the system alerts me ahead of a certification. It’s great that it lets me switch easily from a company overview to a specific license. I really loved it, and we can be confident we won’t deviate from the standard.

For now, I don’t like that they’re defining who validates which skill, because it requires a lot of discipline and technique.

Having moved from Excel based skills matrices to AG5 the efficiencies are apparent immediately. Easy to use and adapt the use of AG5 has helped the business identify hidden skills gaps in seconds.

The planning functionality with automated reminds saves time to be checking move excel documents. Support from the team is excellent when also needed

Overall an excellent purchase for the business which have helped us deliver our Learning and Development strategy.

The support from AG5 for changes, input into future systems changes is refreshing... you have a say in the future development of the platform

The system evolves with feedback, so anything that's a "dislike" is often addressed quickly

The interface is incredibly clean and easy to use, but the best part is the peace of mind it provides by sending notifications before certifications expire. Since we started using it, we’ve kept everything in order and avoided operational fines.

The mobile version needs some performance improvements. At times, the app responds slowly, and for field tools, speed is essential.

Overall its good but couldn't seem to find a way to edit the rating scale for a specific competency. The only way I found around is deleting the competency, adjusting the rating scale, and then recreating the competency.

AG5 is easy to use and requires little instruction. We like that you can pin a role for a staff member so they can see exactly what skills they are missing to advance at the company. We also like the Expert Finder feature so you can search for a specialist at your company in a certain topic or certification. 

AG5's staff was able to move lightning fast with our implementation and they respond quickly to questions/support inquiries. The cost is very low for the value it provides. We're quite pleased with this software so far.

No downsides that we've found so far. This tool does exactly what it advertises and we've yet to find a bug or experience any performance issues.

AG5 excelled in transforming our unstructured, outdated Excel skills matrices into a well-organized, structured format. The setup process is very smooth, with AG5’s team integrating our data in less than a week. I don't know how they do but they are able to upload poorly designed Excels to their platform in one week.
Their customer support is fabulous: they allocated a "success manager" (I don't remember the job name exactly) to make sure we make the best use of the app.
The app is synced to our HR masterdata, so we don't have to manually maintain/create/update new employees, or employees leaving. It's easy to navigate.
Gosh I have no idea why G2 moderators think I used AI to write this review, so I have to use synonyms and rephrase everything, wasting time. Fortunately, I don't have to write a review about G2.

**What do you dislike about AG5 Skills Management Software?**

Although AG5 offers an API to connect to their database, to set up reports, such as those from Power BI, can be challenging. It requires IT skills and resources that we are currently working to develop. It needs more technical expertise than we currently possess (but we are working on it)

AG5 significantly simplifies the visualization and management of our workforce’s skills, particularly critical safety skills. For instance, when I enter the workshop and see an employee operating a forklift, I can instantly verify if their license and authorisation are current and know when they will expire. This capability is great for demonstrating to IATF and ISO 45001 auditors how effectively we manage competencies. What AI could generate this?

By using the attachments tool per skill result we also ensure that evidence is uploaded for closed loop / compliance purposes.
Changes within the system are easily implemented by the AG5 Support team if you aren't able to make the changes yourself.

The software is easy to implement, easy to use and supports the line manager to act proactively on training that expire soon. The customer onboarding and support are driven by very professional employees.

I don't dislike anything in particular for now. A challenge is how to extract large data sets for large corporations. The set-up per location is not supporting extracting these large data sets at ones.

AG5 helps us manage and maintain competency management within our factory. This allows us to comply with audits, keep track of which skills need to be trained and make periodic training transparent and track it. The software continues to develop and improve.
It is software that we use daily and is linked to multiple systems within our factory.
We have been working with the software since 2017 and the integration and start-up went well with the help of AG5 support. This support is still satisfactory and contact is quickly made in the event of problems.

One aspect I dislike is that when adding positions to an employee, it has to be done one by one, as there is no option to select and assign multiple fields simultaneously

Excellent support both during initial set up and ongoing. App is very user friendly, and access can be set at many different levels from full admin access to viewer only

Not much springs to mind! Report generation is a little visually unfriendly

Visual access across company, enabling all users to view cyurrent skill level, based on their access/ role

It helps me to display training within my team in a structured way. And AG5 indicates when training expires, allowing employees to be re-trained.

Some certifications require variable training and are therefore more difficult to integrate into the AG5 system.

We use AG5 to track which training is required for certifications and which employees meet a number of requirements required for customers

The willigness of the team behind AG5. The user friendlyness of the software. 
AG5 gives me insights and saves me a lot of time during my day-to-day tasks.

Improvement implementations can take a little bit longer as AG5 cannot provide deadlines.

We first used an excess data base, it was not updated anymore. AG5 updates the system and provides support. also the system is quicker and seems more up-to-date in terms of looks and feel

Previoulsy, our skills matrix application was very complicated and not user friendly, this platform is easy to use, and much better to look at
