If I could easily export FrameMaker MIF to Markdown/MkDocs/Material format, that would be the jackpot solution for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

*Can be used for both structured and non structured documents.

*Can create multiple chapters, section, page, figure, table numbering and multi-level lists

*Not user friendly (complex for fresher)

*Revise documents need to be manually updated into CMS.

The most helpful feature of the Adobe Framemaker is book feature. It helps in printing the document with auto generated TOC, texts and links. It is also good for Topic based authoring. IP Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The part which I dislike in Adobe Framemaker is that the structured authoring is not very much user friendly. Also after using the find and replace feature, auto save option is not available, each file need to be manually saved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can:

- Save a document as XML or HTML formats.

- Use ExtendedScripts to modify your document that has a number of pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The options to add images would have made this tool a bit better.
