We use it for new hire training, pre-work to meetings, and quarterly training initiatives.
The metrics are state-of-the-art, and have been very helpful in determining development for the representatives. Senior leadership has been especially impressed with everything.

All the internal support to customize the platform to meet our needs. Heywood Chu is simply wonderful to work with! They continue to improve the platform and are very responsive.  They are also clear on what cannot be done and that is helpful too.

I do not dislike any aspect of ACTO; however, the learning curve on the development end is my challenge.

Lots of great support. They have been very patient with our company and stuck with us during our proposal and acceptance.

We are solving the problem of an LMS that did not have good reporting, so now we can track performance better.  The Sales Enablement is solving a problem we had with another platform that was difficult to search and not used enough by our sales team.

ACTO has helped me transform the way I train my sales representatives. It helps take complex product and clinical information and break it down into micro-learning that enable the sales representative to more effectively convey the material to the customer.

There isn't really anything that I dislike. ACTO listens to the end user and takes the information to continually improve the tool.

ACTO is a one stop shop that has all the resources and the analytics in one place. It can be as robust as you need it to be. There is a commitment up front in structuring the action packs but once you create one than it is easy to replicate.

The biggest challenge that I have had and realized the greatest benefit from utilizing ACTO has been taking the vast amount of marketing and clinical material and breaking it down to what is relevant and useful to the sales representative and the customer. The greatest benefit as a result ultimately has been the increased sales.

**What do you like best about ACTO Omnichannel Education for Life Sciences?**

The best feature of ACTO is its simplicity. When we rolled out our first ActionPack, I didn't have a single sales rep call to ask for instructions. It's extremely intuitive. Analytics are robust and are already helping to determine which resources are most useful. This gives us insight for future ActionPack development. Since our initial rollout, I have many departments asking if they too can use ACTO. The possibilities are endless. I'm using the platform for sales enablement, product and sales training, ongoing development training, and also to disseminate marketing campaigns and sales initiatives. 

**What do you dislike about ACTO Omnichannel Education for Life Sciences?**

From a user standpoint, I would like to see landscape mode supported. From a development standpoint, more consistency between the desktop and mobile view. Also the ability to order resources once uploaded into a lesson, would be fantastic. I find that the app looks and functions better on mobile devices rather than a desktop, but I design on the desktop. I'm constantly going back and forth between the computer and my iPad which is a little annoying.

We're able to quickly disseminate information, including updates to the entire sales team. In addition we're able to hold reps accountable for their own learning and development. Eventually, we hope to reduce calls/emails/questions from our reps regarding sales, product and competitor knowledge. After running some initial analytics, we can see that our top performing reps are the ones spending the most time in the app.

**What do you like best about ACTO Omnichannel Education for Life Sciences?**

The fact that the platform is so flexible meaning that I can make real time changes to reflect up to the minute changes in legislation and the needs of my team. I also like that I can create content using other tools that work seamlessly with ACTO.  

**What do you dislike about ACTO Omnichannel Education for Life Sciences?**

Some of the functionality is not clearly thought out such as where the "complete lesson" button is at the bottom of the page. It has caused a few issues for my own team in completing their training. Also, occasionally when they make changes to the platform they do not follow up with information so what seems simple enough when you work at ACTO, can cause issues for the user if they are not aware of the change. I had an example of this recently with expanding options. I appreciate that it might seem obvious to the team at ACTO, however, when you are working in ACTO daily and the options just seem to disappear it can be frustrating. That being said, when I did finally have a conversation with the team, they were their usual, incredibly kind selves and did want to understand from a user perspective.

Our ability to get learning out quickly when legislation changes and our ability to really embed learning and  start developing a continuous learning culture.

ACTO has allowed me to deploy a variety of training assets into the hands of the sales force due to the variety of mechanisms the program can accommodate.  The ability to provide a video tutorial, pedagogical slides, screen shares, and "podcasts" have driven knowledge from the office to the hands of the sales team when they need it.

New subscribers sometimes have difficulty setting up an account.  A simple video that walks the user through the set up process would be helpful to send to my new hires.

Rest comfortably knowing that the product - and especially the support team - will exceed your expectations.

The way how the company is supporting us and trying to help out to make new users familiar with the app. and at the same time support on an admin side.
The app itself is very userfriendly and mobile.

At the moment the content is only available in an on-line environment. Not all content is available in landscape.

Real benefit is that you do not have to work with different platforms as you have your authoring tools all available in ACTO. It is also quite easy to understand how to create Action Packs and to deploy these to your user groups.

Micro learning solves the problem of anchoring knowledge. By breaking the learning content down into smaller pieces and by using different types of content you can develop an attractive learning experience for users when they need it most.

Broad based sales enablement tool to support ongoing clinical and sales training, coaching from  upper management, and tracking of marketing collateral and utility to support sales cycle.

The click through process for sales training modules isn't as straightforward as it seems.  Teams always struggle with what to do after they complete a section.  If there is a quiz, it needs to pop up at the end before a user can move on or they have to elect to come back to it and then the course pushes you to the next bit of content.  Somehow the process needs to be more automated and not require a click through.

**Recommendations to others considering ACTO Omnichannel Education for Life Sciences:**

The team and the platform is amongst the best I have seen.  I think ACTO is unique in the sense that they have a platform that has integrated the critical components needed for a commecial organiziation - training, sales enablement, coaching and sales rep effectiveness.  It provides management with a tool to be able to coach and support ongoing development.  It also provides marketing with a sense of how effective their content is or what they need to spend more time training the sales team to say and do.

We currently only have manuals for training & it doesn't support long term retention or understanding.  Learning is difficult for the user to do independently, and requires face-to-face training.  I think we can reduce cost and improve our sales and clinical effectiveness.

Some features differ whether you are using a laptop or mobile/tablet device. It's a little difficult to get to know the training tools (how to create, specifically), but I think it just takes more time with the platform until you get the hang of it.

There is a very short learning curve for internal users to create micro-learning content for our sales force. 
The reps have been so happy and impressed due to access on mobile devices as well. 
They can directly send customer-facing approved content to key stakeholders instantaneously from their phones. 
It has given us an impactful way to train reps virtually and give them sales content at their fingertips--all based on adult learning principles.

The only thing I would enhance would be to have the ability to copy checklists from one Action Pack to another. That would be helpful.

Try to implement the video coaching earlier in your learning and implementation process.

Our organization has moved away from live training events due to cost. ACTO empowers us as a sales enablement team to create short bits of training content, use micro-learning adult learning theory principles, and have the ability to due video coaching challenges for practicing and reinforcement in the field.

As a trainer, it is so easy to create and launch new courses.  Our field based teams love that they can access their learning on the go, and appreciate how user friendly and intuitive it is to use ACTO.  Support team is also fantastic!  It's a cost-effective and highly engaging way to deliver training.

**What do you dislike about ACTO Omnichannel Education for Life Sciences?**

Not so much a dislike but rather some features I'd love to see that would enhance the experience... 1) More variety in question types in the quizzes. 2) Would love to be able to categorize users as I'm deploying ie. someone just "auditing" the course (optional) would have a different setting that someone who must complete it.

It has reduced our need to bring large, geographically spread out teams in for training - cost saving, time saving.  It enables us to make traditionally boring content more engaging and interactive.

ACTO allows for learning in the flow of work. Our learners are always on the move, and need something quick and easy if they are going to engage in their learning experiences. ACTO focuses on microlearning that is easily accessible on all devices, making for a great user experience.

I wouldn't say dislike, but I know ACTO is growing as a company in which we are looking to scale and grow with them. We are looking to incorporate AI through smart learning recommendations in which ACTO is planning on rolling out. I'm sure it will be a learning experience for both parties.

The need for placing learning at the heart of what we do at AstraZeneca. To promote a culture of learning, we needed an application that allows for learning in the flow of work, is easy for a sales representative to access, and can capture data allowing our business leaders to make insightful decisions. We have realized engagement and adoption levels of our pilot with ACTO at extremely high rates.

In my position I am in charge of internal staff training. ACTO has made creating and administering each training module easy and efficient. I can see each user's strengths and weaknesses easily and can share the findings with their supervisor or manager.

The initial learning curve was a little steep. I would recommend creating a list of common terms used in the creation of the modules by ACTO.

ACTO has helped with on-boarding new employees.The training modules provide a quick and easy tool for new employees to learn about a specific product type or offering. It has also helped in refreshing the knowledge of current employees as well.  The modules help both in customer service and with our account managers. The resource management system has allowed us to put additional resources into one location and allows the users to search by name for more info as needed.

ACTO has changed the way our sales force operates in a very positive way.  We love how it speeds up our sales cycle, puts time back in our day and encourages continuous learning.

From time to time we get glitches like you do with most technology.  It’s annoying when you are trying to use ACTO in front of a customer.  Continued work needs to be done to reduce technical glitches with the app.

When you first implement ACTO, roll it out as a useful sales enablement to in the field and not a training tool.  Once your salesforce sees how much it helps them in the field, implementation will be much quicker and easier.  You will not have to prod salespeople to use it.

We’re better able to train our remote salesforce.  (More touches with our territory managers) Quicker access to our content has impressed customers and speeds up our sales cycle.  We’ve also used ACTO to do our in-person presentations more effectively.

Platform seems extremely stable - easy to access for sales force on multiple device types - online support is generally responsive and able to solve issues 
Ability to use a large variety of media and file types to create content 
Saving all training material in one location removes the responsibility of having one person manage all content through an internal file structure with multiple versions

Buidling Action Packs is not always intuitive - need to trial clicks and "enter" for each entry to figure out next step - adding buttons to direct through creation process would be beneficial
Reports and report building is not as intuitive as I would like - a series of "canned" reports form a list might be easier - learning score is an abstract scale and not something that we've had success with using to motivate the team - % complete is more the measure that we are using

Building an on-line technical repository for trouble shooting  - strong search function allows for this and the goal is to provide the field team a resource they can use to solve issues on the fly without needing to contact support service at the office.
Ability to provide a consolidated library of material for new employees without having to create a new training regimen each time a new employee starts - we can document that the new start has completed a base level of training based on completion of the ACTO material - saves time and money even when trainers or HR staff turns over

Getting internal stakeholders outside of Commercial to buy-in. Once they see it also has utility in their space (Legal/Compliance), they were fully on-board

I used a launch video (they helped create) with my C-Suite and other Executive stakeholders. It was an absolute hit. We rolled it out like we would a product launch vs. just another tool folks could or could not use. Make it a living, breathing, part of how your organization communicates and you'll never look back

There are some inconvenient processes on the administrative side, that if corrected could save time of developers and administrators.

ACTO is a great application for adult learning. The underlying principles align with modern talent development philosophies. ACTO provides great support. The leadership is intelligent and working hard, but seemingly growing fast. Be prepared to "grow" with them.

We are able to deploy training at the point of need. ACTO provides a foundation of support for calculating various aspects of ROI related to training.

The most helpful thing has been the ability to train our remote staff at their convenience and without conferences or meetings.  The application is flawless and the support staff are excellent.

It combines Sales Training and Sales Enablement into one tool.  The trainings have clear actions and provide an engaging platform for training.  Sales Enablement provides an easy to use platform for sales reps to find sales and marketing content.

The administrative GUI while great can still use some work.
