## ACS Reviews
  ### 1. ACS

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2018

**What do you like best about ACS?**

The ability to list funds using the "other" category is very useful for gift designations that are not used very often. ACS allows you to access information online and via mobile.

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

Having not used realm, and based on ACS Access, the program is very cumbersome and not very user-friendly. It felt very outdated and the system had a large learning curve for training other staff in its use.

**Recommendations to others considering ACS:**

In our experience, we have found that Planning Center Online does a much better job of managing our church information. It allows us to track funds, plan events, and do it all in a much better user-friendly environment.

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used ACS to track giving and also to keep track of personal information for those who attend our church.

  ### 2. Clunky and Out of Date

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2018

**What do you like best about ACS?**

ACS was able to effectively organize and gather all of our contact information. It also gave us access to helpful data for assessing trends.

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

The program was often slow and difficult to use.

**Recommendations to others considering ACS:**

ACS met the minimum requirements of our organization, but it was not very easy to use. We often avoided teaching volunteers to use the program because it was to difficult to use.

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ACS allowed us to keep track of contact information, attendance data, and financial information.

  ### 3. Solid, but not intuitive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica S. | Secretary, Religious Institutions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2017

**What do you like best about ACS?**

You can customize the software and build it out to do almost anything you need.

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

You need to work with it a while before you can use it fully. It is difficult to teach to pastoral staff that don't have a great deal of time to devote to learning software.

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We keep financial records, member records, child check-in, mobile member info app, etc. It is great to be able to store so much information in one spot securely.

  ### 4. Software for all of your Church Administration Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2018

**What do you like best about ACS?**

ACS works both on a office server or cloud to provide easy access to your church members and their information.

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

Running searches called queries are sometimes difficult and antiquated.

**Recommendations to others considering ACS:**

ACS has many options for churches to consider including cloud based access and office server based model. Multiple modules include finance and people suites.

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Administration and organization of church member profiles. Easy to run reports and labels.

  ### 5. ACS is a comprehensive church software that should be easier on the eyes.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2017

**What do you like best about ACS?**

ACS allows us to store and sort data in tons of different ways. Being able to group individuals, create small groups, do mass emails, and track attendance numbers are all incredibly useful.

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

The program looks very dated and feels that way too. It all works, it's even efficient; but I wouldn't call it the smoothest or most beautiful software out there.

**Recommendations to others considering ACS:**

You should definitely give it a try. I'm not sure if there's a better software out there. There are certainly better looking programs, but they always lack in the amount of tools and comprehensive access that ACS gives you. If ACS steps up their user interface game, they'll be a home run!

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to be able to store and sort through information about our congregation. ACS helps us to do that. I allows us fairly simple solutions to organizational and communication based problems.

  ### 6. Acs- better than nothing, I guess.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2017

**What do you like best about ACS?**

I like that ACS is a system that makes it possible to bring together all communion and coordination efforts in a church. It makes planning events a bit simpler and more streamlined.

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

The interface seems outdated and it is a bit more complicated than it needs to be. I think they need to revamp and make a more user-friendly version of the software that syncs with systems we are already using on our phones and computers.

**Recommendations to others considering ACS:**

It’s got a hefty price tag. You may want to consider other options for a while and give ACS timeto update.

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to keep a complete list of church contacts available to everyone in the system, which really comes in handy when we need to communicate events. We are also able to plan events and reserve spaces more efficiently.

  ### 7. The variety of data collected was sufficient, but the reporting process was not.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2018

**What do you like best about ACS?**

The system retained a lot of data about individuals that was helpful for our use.

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

The reporting process was tedious and not user friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering ACS:**

Check out other options first!

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main use for ACS was Classroom attendance and parent communication.

  ### 8. Gets the job done, but prepare to risk some sanity

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**What do you like best about ACS?**

It has all the features we need to track membership and contributions so we can provide statements at the end of the year

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

The interface is slow and outdated. Updating member information is a bit of a chore, and pulling reports takes some finessing as well.

**Recommendations to others considering ACS:**

They have a newer version called Realm, although neither one integrates with our giving system which is a bit of a headache.

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We track member info, including names, family connections, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mails. This allows us to better track contributions for their tax purposes at year-end.

  ### 9. ACS Technologies is awesome!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa H. | Financial Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2017

**What do you like best about ACS?**

ACS encompasses everything a church needs!

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

Every once in awhile the tables in the program have issues and need to reset.

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are capturing online giving now with both checking accounts and credit cards. The contribution model gives you everything for years of giving trends. Payroll is done online and with ease, no outsourcing.

  ### 10. ACS Review

Able to have access to members of our church all in one place.

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

Really nothing I dislike. It's a great program.

**Recommendations to others considering ACS:**

Great financial program to work with!

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Use this for financial reports, able to keep track of volunteers involved in specific areas.

  ### 11. On the fence

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2017

**What do you like best about ACS?**

Dual ledger system for security for money. This is the BEST software for managing money.

**What do you dislike about ACS?**

The people side is archaic and the support is not robust.

**What problems is ACS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Major benefit is great monetary security and coverage.
