The ability to track costs, revenue, and funding sources separately for each project while still getting a high level group-wide view has saved me countless hours. I like the consolidation function, I find it easy to use as well, and I like the reports. There are nice little functions as well, such as being able to edit postings whilst leaving an audit trail rather than just reversing and reposting. Another good feature is the intercompany posting function - intercompany invoices appear in the other entity automatically; this helps ensure that invoices are not posted in one entity but not the other. I like the functionality and I know that I am not making full use of its potential, something I aim to remedy in the near future. **What do you dislike about AccountsIQ?** Although I like the intercompany/consolidation aspects, I feel there could be some improvement. On the consolidation side of things, I think it would be beneficial to be able to drill into balances whilst in the reporting function in the group entity. So, for instance, being able to drill into a P&L or balance sheet code in a report and seeing the breakdown by entity. It would also be helpful to be able to run debit/credit statements between entities, or rather to be able to run an intercompany matrix at month-end. Quickly seeing the balances owed between entities without having to go into them individually would be very helpful. Finally, some small things - in the bank rec section, I sometimes would like to be able to export the postings in the bank rec period into excel. Also, when creating a BI code and tagging it to a dimension, it would be very helpful to start typing in the dropdown to find your dimension selection. We have long lists, and having to scroll down is very time-consuming sometimes. **What problems is AccountsIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** The most important one for us is the quick consolidation facility. No third-party software is required for supplier payments & for the accounts payable inbox. The bank import works well & data feeds are extremely useful. **What do you dislike about AccountsIQ?** The data feed functions are a little limited; it would be helpful if the functions could be used dynamically. For example, the aged creditor's detail report is used by us weekly, but I have to open Power Query and edit the function date manually; it would be much better if we could set this dynamically to the current date. The invoice/statement layouts are not as flexible as other systems. It would be nice to have an option to see the ageing of debtors/creditors by period instead of by date, we have had a bespoke report built for us, but it would be nice to see this live in the system too. **What problems is AccountsIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streamlines our processes by reducing the number of systems we need to log in to and removing some elements of human error. ### 45. This was very appreant as when we send a suggestion through suggestion box under help function, we do get reply back within minutes stating it is not part of the roadmap. **What problems is AccountsIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** From two dimensional fianance system, we are now have abllity to report on almost six dimensional that is a game changer for our reporitng function. ### 46. Easy to use once you have done it a few times. AP inbox is a great help in posting invoices quickly. I like the prepayments and depreciation function, very intuitive and easy to use. **What do you dislike about AccountsIQ?** Producing payments batches and sending remittances is not as easy as other systems. Too many clicks. The process could be simplified . Some reports like aged debtors and creditors need improving. It is not possible to produce a P&L report for selected periods only. It would also be good if all P&L reports were drillable. The drilling function where it works could be improved as well. Limited flexibility when posting journals to control accounts is an issue. The bank feed is good but not very intuitive, it needs more work The purchase and sale ledger interface is not good, it needs a less complicated approach to look at transactions. You have to click so many times to see what you want and you can only customise it to an extent. I end up having to put everything on excel to be able to understand the transactions **What problems is AccountsIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** AP inbox makes posting purchase invoices very easy and quick. It would be helpful if transactions entered in this way could be amended or deleted more easily. ### 47. Automated entry of Supplier Information into Purchase Orders is very useful. Tracking to approved funds is also streamlined. **What do you dislike about AccountsIQ?** At login, it would be preferable to press the ''Enter'' key to move between information boxes i.e., instead of having to click with the mouse into each Username/ID/Password etc, just press ''Enter''. When preparing a PO a line item cannot be deleted, it would be useful to have the option to delete line items, currently they have to remain in the text and the value has to be reduced to 0.00 in order to ''remove'' them from an order. Upon delivery it would be useful if when receiving items line by line in ''Receive'' that the email that is circulated to the requester of the PO has line by line information i.e. not just the PO has been delivered (standard message whether one or multiple items have been delivered, not very useful). **What problems is AccountsIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** One stop storage of supplier details, purchase orders, receipt information, invoices etc. Easy to share ordering information with colleagues and to track the monthly spend. ### 49. This tool enables the user to run a Trial Balance, a P&L or a Balance sheet for a month or in YTD terms, comparing Actual against Budget or Revised Budgets for any period. This tool can also be filtered by Bi-code/department so mini P&Ls can be run. Clicking a balance will bring up a transaction breakdown for that GL / group of GLs. It can be exported into several formats - Excel, PDF etc. This is a live tool so is invaluable to me when preparing management accounts, spotting trends against budget etc. **What do you dislike about AccountsIQ?** I would like if the Expenses module could be used when you have a Bi-Code budget approval set up. Currently, it is only available with the Supplier Approval option. I would also like if it was possible to send a batch of invoices in one go - e.g. send all invoices on this account to abc@xyz.com. Currently, they must be sent individually which is very time-consuming. It would also be handy to be able to bulk email customers and suppliers from within the system if, for example, we wanted to alert them to new bank details or send out a bulk request for statements etc. **Recommendations to others considering AccountsIQ:** AccountsIQ is extremely user-friendly with a reliable support team who quickly resolve any issues. **What problems is AccountsIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Configuring our BI-code structure has enabled us to do much more detailed analysis by cost centre/department. We also use this to track grant income and expenditure. This increases transparency and accountability for each budget holder, which in turn adds value to the management team and aids effective decision making. ### 50. The only thing is that it is quite different from other more popular software, but this is not a major issue, it just takes some time to get used to. **What problems is AccountsIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are looking to use your portal for expenses; the way we currently do things is tedious and wastes a lot of paper.
