I don't blame the system but I have had trouble consistently getting others on board to using it with consistency, which undermines its usefulness. **Recommendations to others considering Weekdone:** No regrets from me in choosing weekdone. I would always recommend people look at their own political landscape though. If the culture supports this kind of forward thinking, inclusive and transparent way of strategic operation, then go for it. If someone with more political clout thinks it's a bad idea or redundant, I wouldn't fight against that. Some of this functionality can be accomplished within your task / project management system like Asana, but it's not as easy out of the box. **What problems is Weekdone solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tools like Asana, Teamwork, and even Workfront all manage tasks, projects and programs or portfolios of projects. They scale up and down the "things to do" hierarchy but they don't explicitly address the "Why are we doing this" portion of strategic planning. Weekdone helps translate big picture goals, and the strategies chosen to achieve them, into your everyday work. I've realized the benefit of alignment and supporting prioritization. ### 19. If you are unfamiliar with OKRs and are starting to put formal goal tracking processes in place this might not be the first choice. This makes it possible to understand how each person on the team is contributing to the company's overall direction. You can also change the value of individual key results. For example, instead of adding it up as a percentage on your own, you can change it to an absolute # like 50 or 60 and it'll do the calculation for you. This made it easier for us because the things we tend to do aren't easily made into percentages. In addition to that, I can actually dive into each person's weekly tasks, progress, and motivate them a bit via Weekdone. **What do you dislike about Weekdone?** The only thing I'll say that was a challenge to us is the fact that it took a bit of getting used to for some of our team members. Teams are easy to set up **What do you dislike about Weekdone?** What a clunky mess. If you have a team member on multiple teams (as much of the start up world is), it won't let you just fill out one set of OKRs, it wants specific ones per team. So you're constantly trying to find where on earth you placed it last time. Also, all of the trainers are UK based, so not helpful when you're trying to organize trainings in PST. **Recommendations to others considering Weekdone:** There are others that do the same thing but better. The weekly report is helpful and it is easy for everyone in our company to use, old or young. **What do you dislike about Weekdone?** The hardest thing we are finding using Weekdone is getting everyone to use it consistently. The app itself is great and I have no complaints. **What problems is Weekdone solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are better able to see each other's progress and productivity on tasks, especially with our external producers whom we do not see every day. ### 27. In our largest office we have a weekly 15 min standup meeting which is great for syncing up on what each of us is doing, but people can't dial into that from across the Atlantic. Weekdone helps to get (almost) the same effect digitally. I'm also a fan of weekly personal planning / PPP-s and I like how Weekdone nudges everyone to think about goals and accomplishments (or lack of them) at least once a week. **What do you dislike about Weekdone?** It's difficult to get some team members to use it and develop a habit of weekly planning. I wish Weekdone made it easier to sell the idea of Weekdone to team eg. by providing content / videos tips on that. **What problems is Weekdone solving and how is that benefiting you?** Better communication. ### 29. They allowed us to make informed decisions at each juncture. **What do you dislike about Weekdone?** Would have been better if the UX design included different colour options. **Recommendations to others considering Weekdone:** As stated earlier - Weekdone separates itself from the others because of its customer service **What problems is Weekdone solving and how is that benefiting you?** The key difference in implementing OKR's was the support of the good people at weekdone. They successfully took complete ownership of complex problems and quickly solved it. We are all well aware of the need of having OKR's hence not talking about that in this forum. ### 31. The reporting is straight to the point. Exactly want I want. **What do you dislike about Weekdone?** This is a solid tool, and great add-on for Basecamp. If anything, I could benefit from more ability to track time related to projects, but maybe that is more of a request to Basecamp. **What problems is Weekdone solving and how is that benefiting you?** Often I am asked for a quick snapshot of what everyone on the Digital Team is actively working on. We typically roll from one project to the next, start and stop projects as per bottlenecks occur, but we are always producing. Weekdone allows me the ability to quickly pull that snapshot or setup a reoccurring report without having to individually poll each Basecamp project. ### 32. Weekdone travels with me on all devices so it's easy for me to keep up to speed and always remember what I need to do. ### 33.
