**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I really like Vanta's centralized aspect. Everything is captured and tracked in one main location, which means I don't have to go hunting around in multiple places to piece together information related to enterprise risk management or management's risk mitigation plans. This centralized repository allows all updates to be reflected there, and reporting can be had from that one central place. It really helps tremendously, particularly for external audit readiness like for SOC 2, as it provides a clear picture of where we stand with outstanding documents and tests we've passed, so we always know our standing.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

There are some manual processes in Vanta that make things cumbersome. Specifically, in the action tracker, the notes section is a manual process where people can overwrite things that are already there. I don't get automatic notifications when someone makes updates, so I have to manually check if updates have been made. It's a bit of a pain.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to centralize evidence and documentation for external audits and risk management. It keeps everything in one place, helping us with audit readiness and knowing our status on documents and tests.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I use Vanta for SOC 2 compliance and it maintains all the documentation required for SOC 2 audits, like vendor reviews, in a neat and tidy process. I like the risk management features as well. Vanta's ease of use is something I really appreciate, with everything collected in one place, making audits so much simpler and quicker. Having the ability to flag failing tests throughout the year is also a huge help, as it saves us a lot of work correcting issues later.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

It can be a little bit hard to find the features. I feel like maybe the top-level naming could be clearer. Some of the drop-downs and things don't have tooltips that would make them a lot easier to navigate. For example, when you're doing a review of a vendor, there's something called a security owner and a business owner. I actually don't know what those mean, so I just kind of guessed. Adding more tooltips with explanations like, 'hey, this is required' or 'why this is required' would be very helpful. Trying to find things in documentation or trying to figure it out with an AI is kind of painful, and I would prefer not to have to do that.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta for managing SOC 2 compliance documentation, making audits simpler and quicker. It flags issues during the year instead of audit time, saving us work. Everything is collected in one place, and I like the risk management features.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I really like the user interface and user experience of Vanta. It's very intuitive for me, the management team, as well as all our stakeholders, whether they are internal employees or any external firms we work with. It's unified and cohesive, making it seamless for almost anyone to understand.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think specifically for the vulnerabilities that we had, there's room for improvement. Even though it's not completely a Vanta issue, it has to do with how we're triaging and prioritizing them. Often, we have labels for GitHub vulnerabilities like critical, high, medium, low. But at the end of the day, if we had any missed day, it just showed that we were not compliant. I feel like there could be some sort of variability there so that if someone is approaching the platform, they can see the degrees to the vulnerabilities or outstanding things.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helps us manage SOC 2 compliance by organizing multiple moving parts like terminations and vulnerabilities. It allows us to address these issues expediently and correctly.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like that Vanta simplifies and automates our SOC 2 certification efforts every year. They give us access to competent auditors, which is really helpful. I appreciate their robust system and the lots of integrations they offer. It's great that Vanta essentially has their own auditor hub, and they refer auditors to us, saving a lot of time and making everything more streamlined and easier. The platform is especially useful as auditors can go in and see everything that has been uploaded, making things really clear and upfront for us. The initial setup was extremely easy and seamless, which is part of the reason we stay with it.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think sometimes moving around how they do certain tests, and I used to be able to easily hover over users when deactivating someone and pull up their profile. Now it's a little harder to do that, and there's more menus to go into to deprovision them, which used to be a lot simpler, I feel.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta's continuous monitoring does a lot of the heavy lifting for our ISO 27001 program. The integrations pull evidence automatically, so instead of chasing screenshots before an audit we get a live view of where our controls actually stand. The access and vendor tracking has been especially valuable for us — seeing who has access to what, keeping personnel onboarding and offboarding visible, and having vendor risk in one place has taken real manual effort off our plate. Over time it has become a reliable single source of truth for our compliance posture.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

There is a real learning curve at the start. Getting comfortable with how the platform is structured, understanding what each failing test actually means, and knowing how to action it takes time, so it helps to have someone able to invest in that initial setup phase.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta gives us continuous visibility into our ISO 27001 controls rather than a once-a-year scramble before an audit. Automated evidence collection, together with access and vendor monitoring, means far less manual tracking and fewer surprises at audit time. Practically, it lets us catch control drift early instead of discovering it during review, which makes our whole compliance effort more sustainable and frees the team to focus on the work that actually needs judgement.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like that Vanta helps us a lot in being SOC 2 compliant. It's also quite helpful as we're working on ISO 27000 certification. Vanta provides a consolidated view of our entire compliance policy, allowing me to monitor anything and everything related to compliance. The timely reminders to update our documents and policies that we might have missed are particularly beneficial. I find the Slack upgrade and the time limit features quite helpful as they give an exact timeline for upgrades.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The search features in Vanta are a bit confusing. Searching for specific policies or compliance issues can be cumbersome, especially if I don't have the links readily available. It's not very user-friendly, and the search functionality doesn't work properly when looking for particular compliance issues or policies. This aspect could be improved a bit.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helps us be SOC 2 compliant and ISO certified by providing a consolidated view of our compliance policies. It allows me to monitor everything related to compliance and provides timely reminders for document updates.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

What I like most about Vanta is how much manual work it removes from our compliance audits. Automated evidence collection and continuous monitoring across our tech stack (AWS, GitHub, Google Workspace, etc.) mean we’re not scrambling to gather screenshots and logs every time an auditor asks for something—it’s already there and kept up to date in real time. The pre-built control mappings for frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 42001 also saved us a lot of time by clarifying what evidence ties to which requirement. On top of that, the dashboard makes it easy to see at a glance which controls are passing or failing, so we can address issues before they turn into audit findings rather than reacting afterward.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

What I dislike about Vanta is that some of the automated checks can be overly rigid or throw false positives, which then forces a manual review just to confirm a control is actually fine. Pricing can also feel steep as you add more integrations or frameworks, and it isn’t always clear or transparent upfront. A few integrations are also shallower than I expected: they’ll flag an issue, but they don’t always provide enough context to resolve it without digging into the underlying system yourself. Customer support has been hit or miss depending on who picks up the ticket, and the UI—while generally clean—can start to feel cluttered once you’re managing multiple frameworks at the same time.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta addresses the manual, time-intensive compliance work that used to take up a huge amount of our team’s time—collecting evidence, tracking controls, and getting ready for audits. By automating continuous monitoring and evidence collection across our systems, it has freed up our security and engineering teams to focus on real security work instead of chasing screenshots and logs for auditors. It’s also helped us stay audit-ready throughout the year rather than scrambling in the weeks leading up to an audit, which has reduced stress and cut down on last-minute fire drills. On top of that, having a single source of truth for our compliance posture makes it much easier to respond to security questionnaires from prospects and customers quickly, and that has helped speed up our sales cycles.

I really like how easy it is to review all documents and controls. The integrations are very useful and give time back to my team. The pricing is very high, though, which makes it hard to sell to smaller customers. That being said, it does the job extremely well. The app itself is always fast and reliable. The automated alerts on controls is very useful. Support is very quick to help

Honestly no real downsides. the automation can get a little aggressive, but better safe than sorry.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

It’s very easy to use and intuitive, and it offers a lot of useful features that make it practical and convenient. It has all the integrations we need and the pricing is accesible. Another advantage was that we could create a payment plan, to help our cashflow. The AI features are great when you submit the evidence, as they flag any inadvertence. The onboarding was easy. Highly recommend

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Policies to be available in our local language or maybe even the entire interface. It would be very useful because the laws in our country spcify that all official documents should be written in our language (Romanian in my case)

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helped me obtain SOC 2 certification in a timely manner, and I really appreciate that now, as I’m aiming for ISO 27001, I don’t have to start from scratch. Having that existing foundation already in place is wonderful.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

As a cloud security engineer, I really appreciate Vanta for its ability to continuously monitor our AWS and Azure environments for compliance and security risks. I check Vanta's dashboard daily to review failed controls and coordinate remediations, which saves me a lot of time compared to manual checks. The integration with platforms like GitHub and endpoint management tools is smooth, allowing for automatic evaluation of security controls such as MFA, encryption, access permissions, and device compliance. I love the feature of continuous monitoring; if anyone creates an AWS resource that doesn't meet our security policy, Vanta detects it automatically and flags it, alerting me so I can address it before it becomes a security risk. It also helps in identifying gaps in real time, centralizes visibility, and reduces manual preparation for audits, which lowers operational costs and enhances regulatory compliance.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I would like to see improvement in some compliance controls which require manual evidence or policy reviews because it cannot be fully automated. Also, organizations which require cloud environment may need additional configuration or supplemental tools to monitor specialized security requirements.

What I like most about Vanta is how it simplifies security and compliance without making the process feel overwhelming. the dashboard is easy to navigate, and the automated monitoring saves a lot of time compared to handling everything manually.it also makes it easier to stay organized by keeping compliance tasks, evidence, and integrations in one place. Overall, it has helped our team work more efficiently and maintain better visibility into our security.

One thing I think could be improved is the initial setup learning curve. I also feel that a few workflows could be more intuitive, but once you're familiar with the platform, it becomes much easier to use.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Uploading a vendor's SOC 2 PDF directly into the dashboard automatically highlights all their security exceptions and control failures for you. My daily routine of manually skimming through massive audit documents just to clear a new software purchase is entirely gone.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Smaller development agencies often send over badly formatted custom policy documents that completely break the automated text reader. My team eventually ends up typing out the vendor risk scores by hand just to push the overall compliance status to a hundred percent.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

External auditors stop grilling us over third-party risk because every single external software license has a clear, timestamped security review attached to it. Enterprise clients reviewing Trank Technologies immediately sign off on our data privacy measures the second they see our strictly monitored vendor roster.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

From an HR and People Operations standpoint, Vanta has made the security and compliance side of onboarding genuinely manageable. New hires get auto-enrolled into the security training and agent install workflow as soon as they're added to our HRIS, which means I'm not chasing people down on Day 1 to complete their compliance items, it just runs in the background. The training is short, well-designed, and doesn't make new hires feel like they're being lectured, which matters when you're trying to make Week 1 feel welcoming, not bureaucratic.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The security training itself is short and well-designed, which matters more than people realize. New hires don't dread it, and that keeps Week 1 feeling welcoming rather than bureaucratic. For our SOC 2 work, the evidence collection happening in the background means audit prep isn't a fire drill, it's a side effect of normal operations.
One small friction point worth naming: new hires unfamiliar with MDM-style agents occasionally get confused by the install flow on Day 1. I've solved this with a one-line heads-up in the welcome email, but it's worth building into your onboarding comms from the start.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onboarding compliance ran on chase-and-remind. Before Vanta, getting new hires through security training and device compliance meant manually assigning training, sending reminder Slacks, and pinging IT to confirm the agent was installed. Through our Rippling integration, Vanta now auto-enrolls new hires the moment they're added to our HRIS. Security training is assigned automatically, the agent install prompt fires on Day 1, and I can see completion status in a single dashboard. The benefit is concrete: my Day 1 checklist for new hires is shorter, nothing falls through the cracks, and I stopped being the bottleneck on compliance items I shouldn't be touching manually.

I also like the centralized dashboard because it gives me a clear view of my organization's overall security and compliance status. What I like best about Vanta is how much time it saves... It takess lot of the manual work out of compliance by automating evidence collection and monitoring, which makes staying audit-ready much easier. I also like that it gives us a clear and professional way to showcase Fenergo's security and compliance posture through the Trust Center, helping build trust with customers and prospects..

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Vanta has been really useful overall, but I think some areas could be more flexible. There are times when workflows don't quite match how we operate, and it can take a bit of digging to understand why a test has failed or what action is needed. More customization and clearer guidance would help.

Vanta is really easy to use and integrates well with the tools we already have. The best part is that we don't need to go back and forth with auditors using giant spreadsheets anymore. Everything is in one place. Uploading evidence is simple and saves us a lot of time during audits.

Performance has been solid for us. Our workload isn't huge so we haven't really pushed it to the limits, but we have no complaints there. Support and onboarding were great too, the app is pretty intuitive so we didn't need much hand-holding to get started.

On pricing, it's a bit on the higher side, especially if you're a startup going through your first audit. That said, the ROI is definitely there once you see how much time and effort it saves you.

Some user flows are hidden deep inside specific pages and not easy to find from the main menu. I get that they want to keep the menu clean, but it takes too many clicks to go from a failing test all the way to, say, removing a computer from an employee that left the company. And if you go directly to the computers page, it's not obvious that there's an unassigned computer sitting there. A bit more visibility on those things would help a lot.

It automates a lot of our compliance efforts, and the AI for security requests saves a ton of time and centralizes our efforts. Vanta saves our organization a ton of time! The integration with about a dozen other tools like Zip, G Suite, KnowBe4, Paylocity, Tenable, and GitHub works well. I found the initial setup pretty easy and straightforward. I rate Vanta a 10 out of 10 in terms of recommending it to friends or colleagues.

Even though Vanta makes compliance so much cheaper than traditional means, it's still a fairly expensive platform, especially for small businesses. They're plans are now more integrated, but the add-ons can add up in cost as well. They'd addressed this with new "packages" to bundle these add-ons in. I do wish some of these add-ons weren't so expensive for smaller startups, which desperately need to the most automation but have the smallest budgets. They continue to add new integrations every month, which makes it work very seamlessly, but still missing a few we'd like.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta is making it easy for organizations to comply with a multitude of security and compliance frameworks in a self-serve manner. We don't have dedicated compliance people to work on this full-time, so the ability for our team to be able to have access to the knowledge and requirements without needing a team of people is a huge lift. It also makes the audit process extremely easier and MUCH cheaper beacuse the auditors can rely on all of the automated tests and checks for evidence for their audit reports.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

What I like best about Vanta is the combination of an intuitive, end-to-end compliance platform and an incredibly supportive team. Vanta has given us clear visibility into our compliance requirements, helped us organize evidence and remediation efforts, and made a complex process much more manageable. Their team has been highly responsive and knowledgeable throughout our journey, helping us achieve PCI compliance and now supporting our progress toward SOC 2 Type II and ISO certification.

I find Vanta very useful for tracking SOC2 and GDPR, managing tasks and focusing on important things. I love how easy it is to use, with simple control and visualization as well. It's very easy to assign tasks, track status, and it also analyzes progress in real time. The integration with Azure is super easy.

I would like Vanta to have a feature like GitHub's 'dependabot', which could tell you what you need to modify and with one click make a PR.
