Recommendations to others considering TrackMySubs:
If you have a growing number of subscriptions that you're not keeping track of, I recommend trying TrackMySub. It's one of those apps you don't know you need until you try it!
TrackMySubs does away with maintaining clunky spreadsheets and setting reminders in your calendar when renewals are due.
I've been a bit of a soft touch for app bundles and lifetime deals over the years, and I love to try out new apps, often free in Beta. Eventually, there's a hike in price and it's easy to overlook the creeping costs. TrackMySubs is well worth trying out. Many users report making big savings by cancelling redundant subscriptions. What problems is TrackMySubs solving and how is that benefiting you?
The rising cost of apps, many now using a subscription model, can put a strain on freelancers and microbusiness owners. It's all too easy to get seduced into making purchases, especially through enticing deals, and to lose track of outgoings and renewal dates.
TrackMySubs is easy to use and does the job well. A browser extension lets you log the details of a new subscription as it happens. These are separated into Subscriptions, Lifetime Deals, Trials and Revenue. The last is where you can log the income from affiliations.
A major benefit is that subscriptions are converted into monthly amounts in your own currency, regardless of payment currency and/or length of time of the subscription. This gives you useful running totals at a glance, something that would be hard work to figure out in a spreadsheet.
Another valuable feature is being able to set reminders for when subscriptions are due for renewal and free trials come to an end, so you don't get stuck with auto-renewals you regret.
TrackMySubs figures out what you have saved with lifetime deals rather than paying the normal rates. It's satisfying to see those big savings! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
