I didn't think about it again (because it was so easy), which is exactly what I wanted. **What do you dislike about Selflessly?** I donated to a food bank and earmarked my donation directly to the food bank. The food bank is connected to a larger organization, which is what the nonprofit registration is under. On the Selflessly website, it shows that I made a donation to the larger organization, which isn't necessarily untrue, it doesn't tell the full story. I'd like to be able to choose the sub-org in the future. **What problems is Selflessly solving and how is that benefiting you?** We didn't have a matching gift program before at my company. Now we do and using Selflessly is easy. I ideally don't want to think about the platform that we use more than once per year, when I upload my gift to get the matching amount. ### 2. They have been very responsive and timely any time I need help. **What do you dislike about Selflessly?** There are sometimes difficulties finding charities, but they have worked us through this. And, if there were a way to attribute donations when matched, our employees would like that functionality that does not currently exist. **What problems is Selflessly solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a platform that would allow for maximum flexibility for employees while minimizing the burden on our financial team. This portal helps folks like us to (a) identify approved charity organizations without much back and forth; (b) have the whole donation match happen in the background seamlessly The interface is simple yet effective. It gives a great snapshot of things I'd wanna know (my contributions for the year, favorite or preferred organizations etc). I also had the opportunity to reach out to their support for a question, and was impressed by how prompt and helpful the rep was! **What do you dislike about Selflessly?** Less of a dislike, but more of an ask or request. It would be nice if there was a way for employees to request the addition of charity organizations to the website for approval from their respective company. It will truly make this an 'all in one' location for all things charity. **What problems is Selflessly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Central easy-to-use portal for charity donations. No need to guess which charity organizations are cleared for my company's 'donation match' program. There is also an option to find approved volunteering opportunities, but haven't explored that much. ### 6. However, customer support is readily available to troubleshoot and make things very efficient/easy. **What problems is Selflessly solving and how is that benefiting you?** They're solving the disconnect between org names on selflessly vs google/common knowledge. i think they are consciously trying to bridge that gap. ### 8. I also love seeing the diversity of missions that my coworkers care about. **What do you dislike about Selflessly?** The biggest downside for me is having to upload a receipt each time I enter a donation. I have to go into my credit card account, take a picture of the charge, send that to my work email, and upload from there. It's not hard, but nothing similar is required if I log volunteer hours instead. **What problems is Selflessly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Selflessly definitely gives my company a more visual representation of our giving initiative. Before, it just felt like talk, "oh, we empower employees to give money to community organizations." But with Selflessly, I can see the real commitment to giving back. I wish there was a way to donate directly to specific campaigns (rather than just an organization) through Selflessly. However, the platform does allow you to upload a receipt so the donation is still logged (and matched, where possible). Of all the benefits my employer offers, this is one of my favorites. You can track all your donations both monetary and time in one place, even if you just contributed on your own outside of work. It's was to upload a receipt or log time. The interface is modern and intuitive. There are analytics for leadership. You can create teams, allocate dollars to employees to give as they choose. The database of non profits and charitable organizations is extensive. Also they aren't affiliated with any particular org, so there isn't any "donate to XYZ" in your face all the time. Come tax time all your donation records are in one place. There's also a social feed inside Selflessly that doesn't post externally, so users can choose to contribute quietly, or have contribution activity posted for coworkers to see (useful if you are doing a healthy competition). **What do you dislike about Selflessly?** There may be a time where a tiny charitable org may not be in the database, but a quick support request and they will ensure your contribution goes where you desire. There wasn't gamification built in when my company implemented, but I think that is something being connected as a future feature. Employees do have to self log (I preferred this). Obviously you can take care of approvals and adjustments but just something to note. You may have to do some motivating there to build up participation. **Recommendations to others considering Selflessly:** Work with the Selflessly team they are wonderful and will help you get things set up, and also they love hearing your ideas. Good people. **What problems is Selflessly solving and how is that benefiting you?** If you are looking to drive engagement with your CSR and volunteering programs this is the best tool to do that. Your employees should also appreciate this tool. Just keep in mind to pay them well before adding extra stuff and this could be a great retention tool to build on intrinsic motivations. ### 46.
