**What do you like best about ruttl?**

Ruttl makes my life easier, as well as my clients'. It's simple to use for people who are non-technical because all you need to do is click where you'd like leave a comment. Since I have multiple website retainer clients, it helps a ton with keeping track of requests and I love the email alerts it sends when I receive new comments. Ruttl is a game changer for my business.

**What do you dislike about ruttl?**

As a solopreneur with multiple clients, I wish that Ruttl's plans were a bit more flexible. Their Pro plan defaults to 2 users, when I would only need 1. In addition, I had trouble setting up a few of my websites that are using Divi. After some troubleshooting, I was able to figure out how to successfully add them and I have not had any issues since.

Managing multiple website retainer clients' requests by keeping them in one place, and limiting phone calls & emails.

**What do you like best about ruttl?**

Ruttl has made my communication with clients so much easier! I love being able to leave and receive comments right on the website. It’s intuitive, saves a lot of time, and brings more clarity to the entire process. It's now an essential part of my workflow! It was also very easy to implement — no complicated setup at all. Plus, it integrates perfectly with the way I work, making everything smoother from start to finish.

**What do you dislike about ruttl?**

As a solo user, I found the pricing a bit challenging due to currency differences. It would be great to see more flexible options for individual professionals. That said, the support team was incredibly kind and human — it's rare to feel so well-treated by a tech company.

**What problems is ruttl solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ruttl solves the problem of unclear client feedback during website development. Instead of long email threads or screenshots, I can receive comments directly on the page. This makes the process faster, reduces misunderstandings, and helps me deliver better results in less time.

This software saves our agency and clients so much time going back-and-forth and is easy to use

**What do you dislike about ruttl?**

The only improvement so far I would recommend is making it more clear to the clients and development team that they have to be on the comment. Tab to actually be able to see the comments.

It is reducing emails and time by allowing our customers to provide feedback and our development teams to be able to see that feedback and make the changes which reduces a lot of back-and-forth in Slack channels and emails

**What do you like best about ruttl?**

Had high hopes for Ruttl. The platform is simple and easy to use, however they recently changed their free plan to only be accessible via Desktop (therefore removing mobile previews - which ALL website designers will gather feedback from their clients for? Mobile is SO important) and they also limited comments to 10 max, for an ENITRE website (again, what web design client is going to have no more than 10 comments to leave on an entire 8-10 page website?). I reached out to Ruttl about upgrading to their Pro Plan and advised that I only needed 1 seat as I am a solopreneur, they were willing to offer me a part discount for upgrading with just 1 seat as long as I gave them good reviews on multiple websites. I was happy to do this (speaking honestly in reviews of course) and then I never heard back from them with details to upgrade. I have followed up 3 times now, had issues with the timeframe of a client's project because of it, and it's been almost 2 weeks and I've not heard from them. Since then I've switched to another platform with much better customer service who I'll be sticking with. Disappointed.

They need to improve their customer service and have better turnaround times for replies. I should not be waiting over a week just for a reply to one email (let alone 3 follow up emails!)

I do wish that the file upload allowed multiple files to be combined (i.e. a series of jpgs as one project) without converting to a PDF.

Inital pricing was apealing. Was sorely disapointed with the product.

The customer support was terrible to start but evetnually came around. They then proceeded to charge my card more than the pricing I signed up for. Run the other direction. It's not worth your time. The customer support reps clearly didn't care enough to put the effort in inittaly.

Ruttl has become an indispensable tool in my web design projects, fundamentally changing the way I interact with clients and simplifying the process of gathering feedback through real-time comments. One aspect where Ruttl really excels is its ability to import live websites, allowing my clients to immediately start commenting, reviewing, collaborating and assigning tasks right on the platform. It's saved me countless hours of communicating with clients via email or video conferencing, but makes it easy for them to provide feedback when they can, and organizes all of their responses in one place while cutting down on unnecessary back and forth. 

I'm most impressed by Ruttl's ongoing commitment to improvement (new features) and innovation (new applications like chat feedback or PDF review). Regular updates have improved reliability by fixing bugs and routinely adding useful features. For me, these improvements have resulted in a more enjoyable user experience and reduced the need to contact their support team.

**What do you dislike about ruttl?**

Ruttl is of course another tool that my clients need to know and understand. I have tried to make it easy for them by including the link to my clients' Ruttl projects in my client dashboard and by producing my own web-based quick intro "how to use the feedback tool".

Easy to use app that I use with my clients who are not tech savvy on a regular basis. 
Well supported by a tech team who know their product and are quick to respond when I have suggestions for future enhancements.

**What do you dislike about ruttl?**

More functions than I can use! I just tend to use the customer feedback system, so I have not had time to learn its full functionality. I need to set some time aside to get the full benefits of what ruttl offers

It allows me to capture customer feedback and updates in an understandable format. Clients can use it rather than sending confusing emails.
Is a lot better than other systems that are touted as being the best!

Getting feedback on the website via emails from clients is complex, and not easy to manage the feedback and assign it to the team. But Ruttl can save you from the hassle of getting the feedback in an email to getting the feedback right on the website using comments. The comments can be made into tasks with ClickUp integration. It is easy to assign tasks if it is on Clickup or PM tools.

I use ClickUp for my Project management, but there is a scope for adding more tools.

Going back and forth for client feedback is just a mess, but Ruttl changed how we receive feedback. This is the most essential tool for building an agency.

Inefficient communication: Often designers, developers, and customers are in different places and use different tools to communicate. Emails, phone calls or text messages can be messy and difficult to track. Ruttl provides a central platform for all parties to give and receive feedback.

Comprehension issues: Sometimes it can be difficult to verbally explain change requests. With Ruttl, users can make changes and provide visual feedback directly on the website.

Version Control: With traditional methods, it can be difficult to keep track of different versions of a design. Ruttl allows users to store and manage revisions.

ruttl simplifies the design review process through easy collaboration between designers, developers and stakeholders. Saves about 80-90% of time you'd be wasting with screenshots and excel.

**What do you dislike about ruttl?**

Don't see any downside as of now. They are doing a pretty good job in the niche segment they are catering to. Even the pricing they are offering is very less than the competitors.

**Recommendations to others considering ruttl:**

If you are considering ruttl, you would have already explored various competitors and the huge pricing they ask for. Do a POC using the free version of ruttl, you'd fall in love with product.

Before onboarding ruttl, we had multiple excel sheets, drive folders and email threads for simple feedback. ruttls has made it very easy by centralizing all the feedback at one single place.

It is an easy-to-use and fantastic website review app that I use with my agency every day.  The best part about it is the support and ongoing effort to make the product better every week!

At first, as with many startups, they were overwhelmed by the positive reviews and feedback by early adopters. But they sooned learned their lesson by speeding up their platform and support response time to compensate.

As an agency, we needed a platform to use with our client that was easy to access and use.  Ruttle fits the bill perfectly!  It allows users to review not only single web pages, but the entire website AND even static images.
