Lots of resources, training and webinars. Community of other users. The dashboard looks fantastic and is a great way to communicate with the community and institution about what we are doing. Knowledgeable and personable staff who care. Canadian company specializing in the public sector. **What do you dislike about Envisio?** As an administrator, there was more of a learning curve than I expected. However, with the readily available help resources and a human support team willing to jump on a call, any issues were dealt with. Sometimes I wished rather than having choices I was given firmer suggestions by the support team. **What problems is Envisio solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are new to having a strategic plan. Envisio was our solution to the complexity of monitoring multiple projects progress across multiple years. ### 2. It is an easier tool for staff to learn and adopt than other similar project management applications. I also appreciate that we can create reports for different audiences. **What do you dislike about Envisio?** The process of building reports and dashboards can be further streamlined to be more intuitive, I believe they are working on this fix. On a few occasions we have discovered bugs, but in fairness they have always been resolved very quickly. **What problems is Envisio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before adopting the tool we did not have a centralized way to track and share out the status and progress of city initiatives/projects/programs and that has been a very welcome change. In the process, it has enabled us to move away from unwieldy spreadsheets for tracking and all the inherent negatives of that (version control, etc.). ### 3. One of the greatest advantages of the product itself is the flexibility and ability to adapt to non-traditional organizatonal needs and metrics. **What do you dislike about Envisio?** We haven't perfected the integration with some of our other reporting tools. **What problems is Envisio solving and how is that benefiting you?** First it provides us with a document that allows us to tell a compelling story about our progress, accomplishments and challenges to our board of trustees. But internally its has served as an educational tool, not only to help our divisions undertand how they interact and are co-dependent, but to help our leadership team better measure, better plan and better execute not only their goals but their core fuctions. ### 4. Also, the user friendly interface and the training videos makes it so easy to show others how to leverage the platform. **What do you dislike about Envisio?** It would be incredibly helpful to report on previous / past data. Currently, I can generate reports for what is actively in envisio - Alternatively, I would like to report on historical data - or updates. Because of this, we are pulling and storing pdf'd reports every month, knowing if we tried to pull the same report in 2-3 months we wouldn't get the same update. Apologies if that isn't making sense, I'm struggling to communicate my suggestion! **What problems is Envisio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Nothing that I can think of right now. ### 5. The Envisio team is incredibly responsive, flexible and innovative at coming up with solutions for customizing the software for your needs. **What do you dislike about Envisio?** At the inputting stage, due to the sheer number of users and departments, it was complicated to get all the plans into the system, but we managed it by doing cohorts of users inputting at different times,. **What problems is Envisio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Transparency of departmental business plans, tool to assist users to communicate strategy and actions,, ability to delineate the contribution of goals and objectives when rolled up to the organization strategy. Ability to easily pull customized reports to track progress, people capacity planning. ### 6. Since starting Envisio, I have been able to ditch the spreadsheets and hold staff accountable to providing timely updates. It provides form to our work and gives us a great way to track data on KPIs. I also love that is a great space to set up annual action steps and allows staff to easily participate in the development with staff. I love that it is cloud based and allows us to work anywhere at anytime. **What do you dislike about Envisio?** The biggest dislike I had is not coming around with Envisio. Their new module allows for more robust storage of data to use with our strategic objectives to share a story about how we are moving on the work. As this come online, we will be much more prepared to set actions steps in following years that are based on data driven decisions. **What problems is Envisio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Planning, tracking and management of strategic plans. There is a one stop shop to understand what is happening in a large organization and an accountability mechanism. ### 7. The tool is forward-leaning, pulling for an update, and is easy and simple to use for all users. We have a high rate of adoption and satisfaction from our staff. **What do you dislike about Envisio?** The challenge with Envisio is not with Envisio, but with your staff. They may resist providing updates on their work on a monthly basis. You'll have to require them to do that, and they'll find Envisio makes the process easier. **Recommendations to others considering Envisio:** Buy into the process! Envisio works, trust it! **What problems is Envisio solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have aligned our leadership around the values and actions of our plan. We discovered that many leaders were not clear on their priorities and Enviso provided a context within which we could address that. ### 8. We are working to build a relationship with our new rep, but she doesn't have the history with us so it is taking time. **Recommendations to others considering Envisio:** Start slow and realize that it is a process. As you learn more about strategic planning and performance measurement you will need to modify your plan. **What problems is Envisio solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Envisio to track the progress on our strategic plan. The functionality of the reporting tools are easy to work with and provides the necessary information we needed - when we need it. The customer service and support is phenomenal . Our account manager from Envisio is beyond responsive, he is pro-active and provides insight that has moved us very far forward in a very short period of time. The Envisio team is inn general very responsive to the needs of the clients and providing a user experience that is easy, functional and effective. **What do you dislike about Envisio?** Takes time to ensure everyone on our end is up to speed with how to best use the software. It is important to make sure you try to get everyone on the same pager (or as close to as possible) to ease everyone into the software and its use **Recommendations to others considering Envisio:** If there are gaps in the software you are currently using, Envisio is a great tool orate taking advantage of. We sometimes wish that there were more complex capabilities and flexibility as well. **Recommendations to others considering Envisio:** Envisio is still somewhat limited as it continues to grow, but they are constantly taking feedback and making improvements.
