The software is very intuitive and made things much simpler on my end. It is great that I had many different options regarding starting time, ending time and other configurations. **What do you dislike about ElectionBuddy?** The only downside for my specific election was that I could not find a way to prevent the candidates from seeing the results before it was officially announced. I am pretty sure I may have missed this configuration option, but it was not something very intuitive for me. I wanted the results to be confidential until a meeting with all the parties. They knew the results before the official meeting, tho. **What problems is ElectionBuddy solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am the secretary of my organization, and I needed a system to elect a second secretary that would work directly with me. We had three candidates and a group of around 90 people to vote. I was required to have software that I could set up beforehand and send the link to the member of my organization to speed up the process. We host an election each year for our nonprofit board of directors, and this has been the perfect platform for that purpose. **What do you dislike about ElectionBuddy?** It can take a minute to understand exactly how to set up an election and add voters. But the help pages were actually helpful and now that I know what I'm doing, it's an easy platform to use. **What problems is ElectionBuddy solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to use a survey platform to run our elections, but that made it almost impossible to keep people from voting more than once. Election buddy helps us track exactly who is opening the emails and who is actually voting in a secure way for both our organization and those voting. The steps make it more clear what is designed in each stage. Going back to a previous step and changing things are beneficial! Some changes can be made even after the voting is scheduled or started. The platform is clear about possible ones and which ones aren't possible, which is excellent! **What do you dislike about ElectionBuddy?** Some actions in some steps are rather tedious. I discovered I had to click many things to complete one small step. I am not sure if reducing it is good because there may need to be a compromise, but it felt like it is possible to reduce the number of clicks with some thought without changing the functionality. Also, 15min seemed to be the smallest granularity for scheduling. If we wanted to start the voting during a meeting, we would have to wait for 15 minutes in the worst case! Many times that is too long a wait. We got around that by planning it as much as possible before the meeting, over email or messaging, etc. **What problems is ElectionBuddy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Voting in a structured way and in a way that inspires trust. It boosts confidence and is trustable and secure at the same time. Because we had an excellent way to vote, we could finish some things on time. I can always figure it out on my own. No need to ask anyone. It does require playing with it a bit. ElectionBuddy allows me to upload the membership list. I can see how the election is going and when people are voting. The auto postcards that were mailed directly to my voters, was also a great impactful reminder. **What do you dislike about ElectionBuddy?** That you can only have just a couple staff to log in for one account. I found that it worked really well and without any glitches. I didn't mind paying the money for the 30 extra votes, but it would be nice to see the breakdown of the pay scale broken down a little more for small schools. 20 votes was not enough (but only barely) but neither did I need up to 500 votes.
