When the device throws you into DRIVE even for a couple secs, you can't do anything about it, even though it is not your fault and you did not move an inch. You can't "move" the drive event to a co-driver or a yard man. Also the display is too small (just 3.5 inch screen) in the era of more robust and larger screens that are 8 inches. Then it has the worst screen resolution of all ELDs out there. It is grey-scale display, which nobody uses any more. Really? It lacks night mode too. No audible alerts when you approach a violation. Does not give you the ability to view or print out uncertified logs. You have to manually check each days logs to know who did not certify his logs. **Recommendations to others considering EROAD:** EROAD ELD is a rugged system. It is very accurate and since it is a tethered system, connectivity is highly reliable. It has an inbuilt memory storage and can record your HOS for a while if you find yourself in a dead spot temporarily. But it is too old fashioned, not modern looking. **What problems is EROAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** Used essentially for HOS compliance. And also drivers RODS. ### 3. After 6 months of trials EROAD was by far the best product on the market. It takes me 5-10 minutes to train a driver how to use the ELD function. It is extremely simple. It is hard-wired to the ECM so you do not have to worry about broken, uncharged, or lost tablets/phones. The tax/IFTA/fuel reporting is extremely efficient. GPS tracking is better than any other service we have used. It takes 2 clicks to see a vehicles trail for the entire day. There are many other features that come along with EROADs solution. Their customer representatives and support teams are outstanding and always address every issue as quickly as possible. EROAD is very involved in the industry. I see at least 2 EROAD staff members at every California Trucking Association and American Trucking Associations event that I attend. **What do you dislike about EROAD?** There is nothing to dislike.I am happy with every facet of the product and the organization. **Recommendations to others considering EROAD:** It is a no-brainer. Go with EROAD. The other solutions just don't compare. **What problems is EROAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** Every benefit I listed above. There are also features such as Geo-fencing and site reporting that solved many problems. Too many to list. ### 4. The Depot a. Activity Vehicles Tab i. Vehicles: provides an excellent map display of the vehicle groups with several map options of map, satellite, terrain, traffic/road condition and address search. Ignition on or off. ii. Truck info box: the zoom in goes down close to the immediate area of the vehicle. Today’s journey shows the route of the vehicle from start to end or present location with stops. Send a message to the vehicle. Link the location to google maps. iii. Truck details: Vehicle snap shot information with links to edit vehicle details and vehicle groups. Displays the vehicle Ehubo communication status. iv. Truck activity: shows idle, turning engine off driver log in and log out. v. Messages: View messages, send a new message or broadcast a message to all vehicles vi. Daily Activity: shows vehicle and driver time line alongside the vehicle map locations with numerous export and print functions. vii. Event log is great for detailed vehicle status three to four times a minute for location , turning, speed, gps and cell quality. This is great for providing data for motorist complaints or disputes. b. Activity Drivers Tab i. Duty status: time driving, on duty, off duty with the date and time. 14 hour column, drive column and 70 hour column for driver log status. ii. Link to edit driver iii. Link to view driver logs. iv. Easy to read driver log details and grid with export function. **What do you dislike about EROAD?** No dash cam option, however EROAD is working to add this option soon. **Recommendations to others considering EROAD:** There is a great quality with the EROAD system and with the EROAD support **What problems is EROAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** The EROAD ELD is a great tool for driver efficiency, DOT compliance and they have a top notch support team for driver training, ELD issues and management support. The EROAD system is a very reliable system. ### 5. We weren't able to see trucks in real time, and did not have a good sense of where or how our fleet was operating. With Eroad we are able to see our fleet in real time, and receive valuable safety and utilization information back. **What do you dislike about EROAD?** Currently we would love if Eroad was able to incorporate a camera systems. We do see that other companies are now offering this and it would be great to get this all in one system. **Recommendations to others considering EROAD:** Do as much research as you can on all systems and pick the right one that fits your needs. EROAD fit our needs more than any other product on the market. **What problems is EROAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to track safety of our drivers through the speed and event alerts. We are also taking advantage of easy tracking of miles for IFTA tax filings. ### 6. The interface for the drivers is the most appealing. As well as the simplicity, my driver's think it is the best system out there. **What do you dislike about EROAD?** Sometimes the Ehubo's buttons malfunction and/or are slow to touch. **What problems is EROAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cellular service is a big issue that we are working with ERoad. Many of the mountain roads and other areas we service in log trucks are not able to send information to the cloud. This is frustrating for our drivers when they attempt for fix their log books. ### 7. It would be nicer if they clicked on from a driver going 5mph not 1mph **What problems is EROAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** I don't have problems besides the drivers not being able to move if needed. Having someone who can help us in the office or our drivers is nice. Plus having all of our information in one area. ### 9. This unit is very driver friendly. **What do you dislike about EROAD?** What I dislike about Eroad is sometimes it is hard to get ahold of customer service. **Recommendations to others considering EROAD:** Don't waste your time or money on anything else because EROAD will be the only ELD provider you will need. **What problems is EROAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** Eroad has helped with the tracking and locating the trucks. It has also made our drivers job a lot easier with the Total Tax upgrades. It also helps our fuel tax department with keeping track of fuel mileage. ### 10.
