## Collaboard Reviews
 ### 1. In Praise of Collaboard!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel B. | Network Weaver, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I LOVE that Collaboard is simple and easy to use. I work with groups of various ages - often with low IT capabilities - and they all manage to work Collaboard because it is intuitive, with a clear and accessible layout.

It's also really dynamic and powerful - with a wide range of features. I personally find it much better than Miro and other altaernatives!

I especially like the customer service! The company is very concerned with making sure that users have a great experience, and have always been quick to respond when I haave a question or request.

Thnak you so much - you've made my online courses possibel and highly participatory!

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The only thing that would improve my experience is a few more dynamic graphic tools - like arrows and shapes that 'click-to-place'.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to run Visioning Sessions and Problem Solving activities online with people who are not used to tech platforms.

 ### 2. Connect Equipment Economically and Efficiently

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valentina D.

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I love how easy and intuitive Collaboard is. The ability to share links and customize its use is a great advantage for me. I also appreciate that it is an economical option, allowing me to connect with my partners and colleagues without incurring high costs. Additionally, the ease and simplicity it offers in its initial setup is remarkable, as I had no trouble adapting to using it thanks to my previous experience with similar tools. This makes it an efficient tool for managing collaborative brainstorming sessions and other team projects.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

When I have an Internet problem, Collaboard disconnects from the session and does not handle the user experience well in the background. It could work more like Google, which indicates that you are working offline with a simple pop-up message, instead of just not allowing you to use the application.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Collaboard to connect with my team and partners through collaborative workshops, improving strategic alignment. It is an economical option that facilitates brainstorming sessions, allowing me to stay connected with the technical, commercial, and operational team.

 ### 3. Professional creative appearance and collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I particularly like the intuitive operation, which is complemented by some rather hidden features. These make it especially pleasant for meeting moderators and ensure that the created board leaves a professional impression. Additionally, the numerous templates that can serve as a source of inspiration are worth highlighting.

In general, there is a wide range of different features, which you do not have to use, and it is not bothersome that they are still available.

If I have a specific concern about Collaboard or a question, I usually receive a quick response.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Some participants find registering as a guest somewhat "tedious." The process is actually straightforward, but many do not immediately notice the optional email field and therefore fill it out anyway. The performance is not optimal in some places, which is probably less due to Collaboard itself and more related to our internal network.

Specifically, I don't like functionally that you can't define the size of the shapes as in the Office applications, but instead you set the size individually (almost by eye and feel). For someone like me, who likes to use different shapes in a uniform size, a simple setting option would be desirable.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have already used Collaboard in various use cases: brainstorming sessions, project work, workshops, check-in & check-out.

 ### 4. Indispensable for clear mind maps and task organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I have often used Collaboard to organize my thoughts and tasks and to present them more clearly. For this, the Mindmap function or the cards, as well as the Kanban board template, are very helpful! Additionally, the entire software is incredibly clearly designed.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

There is actually nothing that I don't like about Collaboard.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers found it difficult that with our on-premises solution, sending the guest link was only valid for 4 hours. However, this has nothing to do with Collaboard itself. It is related to our security and data protection requirements. Thanks to an employee, we were able to extend the validity of the guest link to 2 days. The employees of Collaboard are very helpful and support their customers as quickly as they can, and you feel taken seriously.

 ### 5. Collaboard: Intuitive, powerful, and ideal for location-independent collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard is fundamentally an intuitive solution with a comprehensive range of features that leaves nothing to be desired. Collaboard is particularly helpful for location-independent collaboration. It enables direct and interactive collaboration, even in hybrid work situations, thus supporting smooth coordination within the team.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

I cannot give any negative feedback about Collaboard. Our requirements for technical provision, data protection, information security, as well as the functional requirements are fully met by Collaboard and IBV.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboard is consistently being further developed. The roadmap is guided by both our own ideas and the wishes of the customers.

 ### 6. Simple Operation, Intuitive Functions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabian L.

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I like the intuitive usability of Collaboard, the clarity, and the many smart features. It helps to better understand problems and to gain a comprehensive overview. The initial setup was very easy and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

I am completely satisfied.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboard helps me to better understand problems and to provide a comprehensive overview. I use it for process design, workshops, and for visualizing problems as well as for task distribution.

 ### 7. Great collaborative tool that boosts team productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gianluca C. | Head of Data & AI, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard makes collaboration really easy for remote teams. It has useful features like sticky notes, mind maps, and ready-to-use templates, which help organize ideas quickly. Our team particularly appreciates the real-time updates, as everyone can immediately see changes. Implementation in a self-hosted env don't take long, and customer support respond promptly. It's genuinely made teamwork smoother and more productive.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Collaboard frequently updates and introduces new features, which sometimes requires some time to adapt. While continuous improvements are appreciated, there are some users who prefer stable and unchanging interfaces.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboard solves the challenge of coordinating effectively across remote or distributed teams. It eliminates confusion by providing a central, visual workspace where everyone can contribute ideas, track changes, and stay aligned in real-time. This significantly reduces miscommunications and enhances productivity, making it easy to collaborate on projects from start to finish, no matter where team members are located.

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

This tool offers all the essential features you would expect from a whiteboard application.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

It takes a while until new functions are implemented.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can use Collaboard as a creative tool different challenges. You can use it for a ad-hoc brainstorming session in a online, hybrid or on-premise meeting. You can prepare your meeting beforehand for a project kickoff or recurring meetings.

 ### 9. Efficient Whiteboarding with a European Touch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harald G.

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I like that Collaboard is European software and it really does what it's supposed to do. Drawing diagrams works particularly well. The initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

missing svg export

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Collaboard for whiteboarding and presentations.

 ### 10. Collaboard: Intuitive interface and real-time collaboration inspire

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Intuitive, user-friendly interface, real-time collaboration and task management, practical integration of chats and comments

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Occasionally, the effort required to adapt templates to the company's corporate design is somewhat higher.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is nothing to report.

 ### 11. Infinite creative possibilities that inspire

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I especially appreciate the creative possibilities and the templates. :)

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

I find it a bit more complicated to get into than, for example, Miroboard.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Collaboard, gathering many ideas in one place becomes significantly simpler. Coordinating also works much easier with it.

 ### 12. Very attractive online whiteboard solution that is available on-premises

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter K. | Research and Development Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard offers an on-premises solution - so it can be run on a virtual machine in your own infrastructure (below 200 users) or on Kubernetes supporting various infrastructures like OpenShift, Rancher, IBM Cloud, etc. (for a large group of users). This makes it very attractive for me, as I'm working in a global healthcare provider's research and development department where data sensitivity is key. In addition to that, Collaboard is very easy to use and new joiners on the board will get used to it immediately.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

So far I'm very happy with this solution and I'm still learning to become more efficient in handling the board. With having little practice at the beginning it took me some time to switch quickly within the different selection options at the navigation bar on the left.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We mainly use Collaboard during our clinical trials where we work closely together with various stakeholders (internal & external) in the design thinking process.

 ### 13. Great and secure online whiteboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frederic H. | Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard has a nice and user friendly interface. It is 100% compliant with GDPR and from a price perspective very attractive compared to its competitors. I can Collaboard highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The export feature for QuickLinks as PDF is not available yet. But according to their published roadmap on their website (https://www.collaboard.app/roadmap) it should be available very soon.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use Collaboard for workshops, brainstorming, design thinking and creative sessions. With the help of Collaboard our remote teams can work very efficient at any time.

 ### 14. Bye Bye Miro and hello Collaboard!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Great pricing compared to Miro or Mural and paired with its 100% GDPR compliance, an excellent and easy-to-use online whiteboard. Collaboard has a very good customer support and offers a phone support as well as personal trainings which can be very helpful if you have to onboard larger teams.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Their template library was still minimal when I started using Collaboard 1.5 years ago. Nevertheless, they did a great job and expanded their library with many valuable templates.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboard helps us in our daily work to be more efficient. To collaborate time-independent on one board allows the different team members to add content 24/7 without the presence of the other team members.

 ### 15. Best online whiteboard that can be deployed on the appliance at the location of your choice!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

As the CTO working for a small organization (around 75 employees) in the healthcare research space, I have long been looking for an adequate and secure online whiteboard solution that can be deployed on an appliance. With Collaboard, I found the right player within the market that allows me to leverage the data security advantages of Collaboard (a Swiss-based company) with an easy way to install it in my environment.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

So far I definitely can't find anything that I didn't like.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our teams are using Colloaboard in their innovation workshops.

 ### 16. Better than All the things

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** eddy g. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

The use of the collaboard has a lot of flexibility - it's great as a blank canvas not only to" throw" ideas, but it can also be used to organize thoughts and share a roadmap. I also used this as a boar board style to prepare for the event with a group and it worked very well! This helped us organize what we wanted to plan/record and organize the event easily,
If you're someone who likes mental mapping, this tool is definitely suitable for this account. I used it to do it, but I also used it for production for my studio company. When working with customers, it is difficult to show the "big picture", so being able to view everything and link everything to photo and video links if necessary has been very helpful in making vision clear for everyone

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Only thing for me would be mobile optimization for better editing.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

If you are looking for a better miro alternative, try it once at least you will be suprised!!

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with Facebook coaching teams and with planning teamwork. this would be a nuisance if collaboard was not there to unite everything in one platform.

 ### 17. Easy way to collaborate on a board

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

One thing I have noted and loved about Collaboard is its ability to work well with other products to make the user feel comfortable using its features and interface and this has been made possible by the way it allows me to extract all my data from Microsoft excel document into the board. I have seen that the upside of this integration comes from how convenient I can use excel to input data and use Collaboard for presentation and demonstrations which makes my workflow much simpler.
Another feature that I have come rely on can be found in how much Collaboard has managed to promote collaboration whereby I can see mouse pointers of my other team members with their names on my board and in this way we can focus and contribute almost physically on the same board which is an added advantage.
I also like that Collaboard has allowed me to edit uploaded documents by extracting pages and saving them as single pages on the board which is very helpful whenever I want to focus on a certain scope and not on the rest of the document pages.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The touch sensitivity of the board when I am using touch and drop feature is not smooth and reliable since it lags at times and objects might drop in the process of moving them.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

I recommend anyone considering Collaboard that choosing this product would improve and help their workflow to be much smoother and less time consuming.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do a lot of video referencing during my board presentations and I had been facing challenges when I am uploading videos because of different file sizes, formats among other reasons but Collaboard has managed to solve this issue with its integration with Youtube whereby I can just easily drag and drop a video for reference purposes which makes my workflow much simpler.

 ### 18. Important collaborative features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adolf F. | Procurement Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I like that it gives me quick access to YouTube and using this feature I have released that it makes it very easy to create references and it is a very easy way to get people to understand better.
It works on all my devices hence it has no compatibility issues I can remotely make presentations for my team.
Zoom calls can be initiated from within the application which is very convenient since in my organisation Zoom is our default way of communication.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The subscription for me seem a bit pricy.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

I would recommend anyone considering this product to set aside a healthy budget for the product suscriptions.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboard is very simple to get used to and also easy to use which has helped a lot to save us as an organisation from training expenses.
Remote collaboration has been an issue in my organisation because of compatibility issues and very difficult to use interfaces from different products but Collaboard has managed to help us very much because it has no compatibility issues and it can handle remote collaborations perfectly.

 ### 19. Quality Tool for visual mapping with team brainstorming!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaikh Hafizur R. | Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Templates are great to start with. And I like this concept. As it’s a browser-based tool, so we can work from anywhere where the Internet is available. Mind mapping is really awesome. The drawing experience is awesome.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

I don't like the light greenish color as sometimes it's hard to find out right tool as it's not clearly visible. I have found sometimes, it takes time to load. Otherwise, I am looking for more integrations.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I am working remotely and we have team members in different countries. so for the ultimate brainstorming and making any decision faster, this tool helps us a lot.

 ### 20. Amazing Interactive Whiteboard To Collaborate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario M. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard is a virtual whiteboard that can be used for brainstorming, research, and interactive meetings. It's so easy to use. You just open it up on your browser and you're good to go! The best part about Collaboard is the clean interface. I don't have to worry about any extra distractions or unneeded features when I'm working because Collaboard has everything right there in front of me.

In the last couple of months, I have used Collaboard for different purposes, some of these are:

1) As a virtual whiteboard to take down notes while attending an online course

2) Creating team sticky notes

3) Story Boarding

Collaboard has made presentations and whiteboards easy, it's definitely worth the price.

Collaboard allows me to add videos, photos, and PDF files to the board.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Collaboard doesn't have a folder structure yet. I would really like to have a folder structure so that I could better organize my boards. The UI/UX is still not the best out there. Hopefully, they will update it in the next iteration. Copy/pasting is also a bit slow sometimes.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration is a much-needed skill in today's work environment, but it can sometimes be difficult to get past the logistical hurdles of sharing documents and collaborating with your team. Collaboard helps us solve this big problem. Using Collaboard, I can collaborate easily with my team members. We can create mind maps, sticky notes, etc. It now serves as a central board in our organization, we collect all information required for each particular project in it.

 ### 21. My agency's go to platform for productivity and brainstorming.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matrix M. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

The Whiteboard feature of the app allows me to have an endless drawing board to diagram my ideas and thoughts. I love that there are premade templates for various cases to provide a jump start. The fact that my team can add to the board and have access 24/7 brings remote collaboration to a whole new meaning. The thoughtful tools that can be readily accessed make the tool even easier to use than some of the other tools that I have used in the past.

I can import videos and other media into the board to provide ideas or an instant reference tool that harnesses the power of the internet. I also like that I can embed objects into the board so that nothing is off-limits to import.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

I wish that there were a few more keystroke shortcuts for times when I am not using a mouse. And when the screen is zoomed out very far, I wish there was a way to mark or indicate what zoom level you wish to make your default.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of using only a Kanban board, I can have a hybrid of different sprints and productivity lists all combined into one unified source. This has allowed my team to work in their own "section" while still being able to see the big picture as it unfolds.

 ### 22. Productivity booster for our remote team sessions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus D. | Head of Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

We have a team session every friday in which we work on a single project. Collaboard is a big support when it comes to brainstorming, structuring and visualizing ideas. It really helps us to generate real outputs, even in short meeting sessions.

What I like:
- ease of use, other team members do not need to have an account to join the boards
- clear user interface, easy to understand and to work with
- timed sessions are great to collect ideas as a first step of a meeting
- nice templates if you haven't much time to prepare the board before a meeting
- embedding of different media types

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

To be honest there is nothing what I really dislike at the moment. It is criticism on a high level:

- zooming in and out with a trackpad is very sensitive, sometimes not easy if you have small lacks (e.g. when you're in a video conference at the same time)
- zoom integration is nice, more integrations would be nice (GoogleMeets, MS Teams, etc.)
- currently no mobile app

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

If it's important to you using a solution developed in europe, Collaboard meets your requirements (swiss based company).

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently it's our virtual whiteboard because we can't meet at the office. Everyone works from home, so Collaboard is the best option to collect and discuss ideas without any limitations (because it seems to be an endless whiteboard - might be better than a real one where the space is limited ;-)).

 ### 23. Finally A Digital Whiteboard I Like Better Than The Real Thing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John G. | SEO Manager & Full Stack Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard has been a fantastic tool to help present ideas with my team and clients.

I used it just yesterday to illustrate an SEO "reverse silo" during a consultation call and at the end, my client said everything finally clicked when I showed him my sitemap in Collaboard.

I was very pleased to hear this.

Spending a little extra time drawing things out paid off tremendously and felt great. Now I know Collaboard will be an integral part of my consultation services from here on out.

If you are in the digital marketing space, Collaboard is an excellent tool to put all of your ideas into a presentable format that can be shared and easily collaborated on with team members and clients.

I highly recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

I have yet to find anything major that I dislike. A couple of times I have had to play around with the toolbars to figure out what the buttons do.

This minor issue could easily be solved if the Collarboard team provides text saying what a button is/does when you hover over it. That would be very helpful for new users.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the remote collaboration problem between team members and clients. Everything that I normally would have written on a physical whiteboard can now be written down in Collaboard and easily shared.

The main benefit for me has been no longer bouncing around between different tools trying to find the best one, learning each only to eventually drop it. Now I can just focus on Collaboard and building templates.

 ### 24. We can collaborate online now

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vitali K. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Good virtual whiteboard
What I like most:
- Unlimited guests, live chat and zoom integration
- Simple to use
- Icons/shapes
- I love the possibilities to Draw, Add forms, Write Text
- Helpful collaboration features like timer and voting
- Good system with virtual post-it notes
- I can import on the board almost anything (Video, Audio, Image, URL, Embed Youtube, or Documents)

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

What I would like to see improved:
- UI and UX should be improved to be more human-centered
- Better preview abilities for images found via the "web search" tab before inserting them into the board
- The zooming experience on the macOS Trackpad is not smooth. It's kind of too sensitive.
- Templates can't be imported on board like in Miro
- No proper mouse menus

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

For the price, this is a no-brainer. We all need systems to keep us on the path to meet our targets and goals, and this allows us to create the plans to do this with the added benefits of a whiteboard, kanban, brainstorm, and so much more.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used it for:
- Team brainstorming & ideation
- Client-facing virtual calls
- A virtual whiteboard during the recording of an online course
- Storyboarding
- Team sticky notes

 ### 25. Powerful whiteboard platform for the creative and innovative business minds

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcelo F. | Music Producer and Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

It's very well served compared to others:
- it has a better pricing
- ability to embed anything is a must
- you can write, bold, underline in the same text field, inside the sticker
- the drawing feature is really awesome
- it seems they're still growing and listening to the costumers, so it should get better soon!

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

There's no smart menu or smart tools. One needs to go the menu bar to do anything works. I prefer the menu in the right click as other platforms have.
I also prefer the smart tool to handle things like stickers: for example, create a sticker in the form and size you want right there at the creation, instead of create an sticker, then resize it, then turn it in to a rectangle.
I believe they also have only square stickers, which is very faithful to reality but a lot less intuitive for our needs. Colors should be automatic and changeable later, with a right click too. Have to choose a colo everytime before create the sticker is lost time.

Resuming: it is a very good platform, but lacking some basic "smart" UX features. Solving UX , CX and a bit of the aesthetic issue (stickers look old with shadows and don't have plain colors). I believe they'll get there!

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

Get Collaboard. It's teh smart thing to do. Join the group of users and start pointing the requests so it can get better fast for us to use it more and more!

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very good to have team projects like design thinking, business canvas and other sprint creativity templates for creating new products/services, evaluate existing ones, and also making fluid presentations, as well as consulting interactive researches that involve multimedia , graphics, websites, photos, videos and/or drawing.

 ### 26. Amazing Tool for Online Collaboration and Education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lou F. | Creative Visionary, Broadcast Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I like how this tool lets me set up an online whiteboard to share and gather ideas from people. Permissions allow me to choose who can write in the board and who can just view the board. Support for drawing tablets is a game-changer. After a session is over, access to the board can be either kept or revoked. Development pace is ok. Support is great. Zoom integration is available. There is a presenter mode that allows me to keep the focus of my audience to which part of the board I am viewing. There is also the ability to see the boundary of mobile browsers when I have audiences that use mobile browsers when I am presenting live.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Right now that lack of dedicated mobile apps can be a bit limiting. Although there is a Zoom integration, it would be nice to integrate with other platforms (such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Discord, etc...), or even have their own communications channel. As of the time of writing, there are a few lacking features that, if present, would make live presentations better such as having a virtual laser pointer.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

This is a definite recommendation for companies or educational institutions looking for an online whiteboard. The ability to set permissions gives a lot of flexibility and options as to which users are allowed to just view and which users are allowed to contribute to the board. Setting up a board is also very easy because the only thing a user needs to do is to provide the link to the collaborators/viewers

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboard can help me share and gather ideas through an online whiteboard. A whiteboard just feels like a natural platform to share ideas because of the support for drawing tablets. A virtual whiteboard is also very good in a virtual classroom setting. This can also be used for asynchronous collaboration be giving participants write access to the board, and going back to the board when they are finished adding their ideas/feedback.

 ### 27. Collaboard - The collaboration App I've been waiting for

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ★ Kim F. H. | Sales Jumpstart & Turnaround Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard is very intuitive and easy to get started with. It gives you an infinite canvass to: plan, teach/learn, brainstorm, and think through and study whatever you need some clarity on. It has most of what I think anyone would want...but they constantly add useful new features that I didn't think even needed until they released them. I especially like doing online brainstorming sessions on the whiteboard with our team, and everyone on the team gets engaged as we draw/create together in real-time.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

I found doing the basics really easy to get started with; however, some of the more advanced features took me a bit more time to get my head around. I attribute this to the fledgling help system that existed in the early day. I've noticed now that the help system and help videos are a lot more useful now.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

Start with some of the templates to get up and running fast.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboard has helped me and my team get our thoughts onto digital paper. It has also been invaluable in engaging the team on Zoom meetings by involving them in a very useful and fun way.

 ### 28. The Best Presentation Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judy D. | Chatbot Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I was looking for a mind-mapping tool and found that Collaboard surprisingly had more features than I was looking for to make a visual presentation for prospective clients. “Connectors” is a feature that connects any objects, such as text box, videos & images, in a board and can be adapted to many different options, such as dash lines, colors, line thickness, types of line, etc. The flexibility Collaboard provides make this tool versatile to many other use cases, such as the following:

- Generating Ideas: Brainstorming, Design Collage with Drawing options
- Planning: To-Do-List, Visual Event & Project Planning
- Organize: Create Visual Workflow Charts, SWOT Analysis, Cost-Benefit Analysis
- Interactive Training: Create content in real-time and get attendees’ feedback with voting and rating features
- Zoom Meeting: Zoom call from your board
- Collaborate - guest users roles can be facilitator, editor or viewer; project can be shared by sending a link, QR-Code or invite via email (can be password protected)

Collaboard is a necessary tool for anyone who wants to help a client visually understand the benefits of a product or services quickly & professionally without overwhelming or confusing them.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Collaboard has more features than what I was looking for so there isn't anything I dislike about it. It's an important tool for my business.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

I highly recommend Collaboard over other mind-mapping tools because of the flexibility for different use cases, which means fewer tools you'll need to learn & pay for

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main thing Collaboard solves for me is the mind-mapping capability. The various options & features make creating mind-maps more effective, which results in higher closing rates with clients and higher productivity rates with my team.

 ### 29. A remote Whiteboard that delivers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen A. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

- Infinite whiteboard, no space limit, no thought or idea limits
- Templates, create starter templates based on your business and needs
- Goes way beyond whiteboard, sticky notes, media, docs, images, mindmaps
- Zoom integration, the call window is on your Collaboard
- Good vendor, providing roadmap
- The product evolves with input from users, vendor consistently provides updates
- Adds back the visual and creative elements of group meetings, no more watching talking heads
- Stored in the cloud and always available, never have to think about who took a picture of a physical whiteboard before erasing

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Getting started is a bit of an investigation, it is a very flexible product with evolving features and that leaves the help a bit behind. Need to dig into the blog posts to get the full benefit.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

An evolving product that is feature rich, evolving and provides excellent value.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our teams are geographically dispersed and bringing them together regularly is both expensive and logistically inefficient. Collaboard not only addresses the ability to have more organic remote meetings, we now have co-editing with multiple participants working in the same infinite space.

 ### 30. The Best Tool for All Productive People!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karthikeyan G. | Principle Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I've looked far and white for methods to do my project planning and tracking. Using the visuals Collaboard offers me is beyond anything i have found thus far. I finally get my plans in order and get more things done. Both for myself as for my team. Use it heavily to visualize dependencies, use size to signal importance, colors for status (to do-working-done) and use tags to mark technical debt. Zoom out to have the bigger picture like the decision trees, guiding principles. Zoom in and find the details for the daily job, mark your technical debt and more. Collaboard providing a vast range of template for the whiteboard that can compliment my whiteboard objective. Planning, brain storming session and discussion with my colleague has really improved as we can chatting with each other when using the whiteboard. Everyone on the board will be assign with their representative color so we can distinguished which member editing and altering the board.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Because the interface doesn't get in your way, starting might be a little hard. I've had no problem with this myself, but found colleagues requiring some time to master.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

This is a Must have Tool for any person using computer for their work!

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task Tracking, Capturing Ideas, BrainStroming, Collaboration.

 ### 31. Great resource for online engagement, creativity and collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravi T. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Huge selection of templates that can be easily customized, and very easy to share. This is a great resource for facilitating strategic planning, world cafes and open space meetings. Everyone can feel engaged and involved in the process, seeing it on their screen and able to contribute. Very easy to share with participants, during sessions and between/after sessions so they can continue to work on them.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The only thing is the long addresses for sharing, but I use a short url service to create simple urls that I share with my clients for each collaboard.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

Give it a shot. You'll love it

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I facilitate strategic planning online, so many of the collaboards are useful for those processes.

I also host world cafe meetings, where people (at in-person events) gather around small tables of 4 for meaningful conversations. There are several rounds, and except for one person (a host) at each table, everyone changes tables each round for fresh people to chat with. One of the resources of cafe is a sheet of paper and crayons/ markers and we encourage people to doodle and draw, to capture and extrapolate on their thoughts. These drawings grow as people change tables. With the pandemic we can't hold in-person cafe conversations any more with distancing rules and having to sanitize every time someone moves. I host virtual cafes now, and can create a collaboard for each table - every time someone changes a table they open the collaboard for that table. I can use a blank sheet or create a customized collaboard to go with the design of the event.

For open space meetings, I can create customized sheets for each group to bring back their insights.

 ### 32. Great for Consultants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Troy J. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

There are several great features for me, including:

1) Templates: These are great for prompting ideas and structuring of workshops, and then again later for the formatting of client reports
2) Security: this has helped convince clients that their ideas and thoughts are protected
3) Pricing: Simple and focused on my consultancy/consultants, not the size of my clients, which is hard to predict.
4) Improvements: It appears that the Collaboard time is committed to continuous improvement; there are always minor tweaks/additions that smoothen out the user experience.
5) Browser-based: This allows much broader use and much less stress on my end educating and ensuring clients are installing apps before workshops - I send a link, and they open it; it's that simple.
6) Doesn't need access to the Client Organization: With Teams, we've had several challenges collaborating with clients/contractors from different organizations whose MS environment doesn't want to work well with the MS environment of another company.
7) Simplicity: I'm impressed that despite working with clients from many countries, having to spend lots of time preparing them to use the software before the workshop is time-consuming and costly. With Collaboard, this pre-work is cut enormously because of the simplicity.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

So far, there's nothing that I dislike. As with all software, from time to time, I have thoughts of improvements I'd personally like, but then I also understand it's a balancing act not to make the software too clunky. Actually I check the Roadmap (https://www.collaboard.app/roadmap), and often my thoughts are already captured, and if it were that important to me, I'd submit there - to date, I've not done so.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a consultant whose core function is collaborating with clients globally, and with the reality of the pandemic restricting workshops, it was critical that we adapted and found new ways to keep clients engaged and collaborating. Through Collaboard and Zoom or Teams, we've been able to ensure the continuity of our business. Yes, there's still a loss of that 'face-to-face' engagement. Collaboard helps to bridge that gap - people can now engage, they can watch the board, write, read, respond, draw, add documents, etc., and they feel like they're contributing rather than just passively sitting and listening (and eventually sleeping).

 ### 33. Neat way for team collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris K. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard has a lot of flexibility with its use - it is great as a blank canvas to simply "throw" ideas up on, but it can also be used to organize thoughts and share a road map. I also used it as a Kaban Board-style for an event prep with a group and that worked really well! It helped us organize what we wanted to plan/include, and execute the event with ease!

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

A couple times elements take a bit of time to load - once in a while there is a slight glitch, but it hasn't been anything too noticeable. The team is making a lot of improvements, and the recent release of the "mini-map" solves the issue of getting lost on the infinite canvas! I do hope more "template items" are implemented to expand its functionality even more!

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboard has been useful in team planning for event prep. I like that we can all log in and contribute ideas to it. It basically takes the whole whiteboard in a conference room idea and elevates it to the digital age. This has become especially valuable as we have had more and more meetings online.

 ### 34. Great productive tool on planning and organizing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JJ C. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard is easy to use right away. If you're a person who likes mind mapping, this tool for sure fits that bill. I have used it for that but also for production for my studio company. When working with clients, it's hard to illustrate the "bigger picture" so being able to map everything out and link everything as needed with references to photo and video has been super helpful to make the vision clear for everyone.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

While I like the ability to edit the boards on mobile, the screen real estate is a bit too small to be comfortable in doing so. iPad screens are the minimum but the best experience editing a board is on a desktop. Viewing the boards however on mobile isn't an issue so hopefully in the near future more controls will allow a user on mobile to edit the boards easily.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

Get it if you want easier mind mapping/idea board for your projects. If it relies on working with others as well, this tool fits the bill.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mind mapping and organizing information for a photoshoot in pre-production and production phases. It's allowed me to paint a clearer picture to clients easily.

 ### 35. A strong competitor to Miro and Mural at a significant discount.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard L. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Miro and Mural have reached the point where they're charging more for features that the typical person is unlikely to use, and this almost everywhere leads to organisations putting limits on licences whereas Collaboard gives you the fundamentals and more for a great price so that you can have more people using it. I simply have no concerns about using Collaboard when I work with clients and I can absorb the costs rather than it being another charge that I have to justify.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

No software is perfect, and Collaboard is no exception - for me I'd like more integrations. I'm confident this will increase in time but call me impatient I'd like more now!

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I worked with coaching teams and with planning team work for the next quarter. These activities simply would be impractical because of COVID but with Collaboard it's a effective alternative to face to face.

 ### 36. If you have a team, you need the Collaboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dani B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

What I like most about the collaboard is the ease of working, the learning curve was very fast, I didn't need to consult any tutorial or help center, you create your board and that's it, everything you need is there, it's very dynamic and you can do everything you can imagine.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

honestly, it is impossible not to like it, because the other tools are in plaster and the collaboard is not in plaster, it's incredible!!

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

You don't need a lot of software to organize your team.

You need the collaboard!

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a board just for ideas.

I have another as a basis for consultation for the team to be inspired, I put the cases that I found cool and they consult before building something.

I have mind maps.

Before I only had a mind map, now with a collaboard I have everything I need.

 ### 37. Smart. Easy, Fast for ever kind of brainstorming or online lessons!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca T. | Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard is online software perfect for quick or complex brainstorming sessions.
Every CEO can use it to design a logo with the graphic designer, a marketing strategy, a business plan.
The user interface is smart and simple to learn how to use. You can hold a meeting with clients to approve a project.
Collaboard is very good for online lesson.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

I am very comfortable with this software, and while something is still missing, I see the company adding new features every month.
For online lessons and meetings, in addition to the Zoom integration, in the future, I hope that Collaboard will add their video calling software in the future: it will be faster and easier.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can work with my team from home on all kinds of projects and works: it is essential to me, I save time.

 ### 38. Very great tool and userfriendly

In the Microsoft Teams integration, collaboard is an app you could integrate with your team! Great!
If you are in a document, you can copy and paste a picture or text directely in Collaboard!
Script from a webpage or a form can be embedded in your document on collaboard!

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Not seen much in bad terms for the moment!

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

if you need a light collaboration with a google account needed, use Jamboard, if you need something more powerfull, in which a lot a feature and need to share with people accountless, go and buy it!

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can record myself with the Media feature, and insert it directly.
My main benefit is collaboration with my attendees or students as a trainer in digital.

 ### 39. Ideal solution for a successful collaborative experience

Voting on ideas and collective choices

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

Add the possibility to import and export in SVG format
Limiting the number of participants

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

I recommend Collabord for consultants and trainers especially
This allows you to give a different dimension to your missions and trainings

As a teacher this allows me to teach in an interactive and innovative way

 ### 40. A SAAS product that met its promise.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron C. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Please note I purchased Collaboard as a lifetime Deal on Appsumo which was a pretty fair sweetener for a product that was obviously playing in the MIRO pond.

SUPPORT and Follow up development. Few Apps I have purchased as Lifetime Deals have even come close to how good these guys are at communication and followup.

The product did what was demonstrated on the first pitch without fault. And they have continued to improve the UX experience as well as build new features with a pretty rapid rollout.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The Home Dashboard is a little clunky in regards to Project top file management and structure and I feel the Colour selection tool within the boards should allow for PURE solid colour rather than the gradient effects that seem to be the default action.

A VERY small list of dislikes to be clear and rather superficial.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

The product does what the pitch says and more importantly the support is as EQUAL in the backup.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LOTS,

Planning, System Structure Mapping, idea management,

 ### 41. Versatile tool for coaches, trainers and other experts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hans de G. | Brainfulness Evangelist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard has almost no learning curve.

What I find very interesting is that there are no limits for the canvas and that you can zoom in and out to the max.

Another feature I love is that you can embed other content. In my case, I embed my NoteJoy tasklist within Collaboard!

Collaboard is very versatile. As a coach, trainer or expert you can find many ways to make use of Collaboards functionalities. And if you use Collaboard for example in a coaching session: it is very easy to make a copy of your board and then give your coaches access to the board. As an (online) trainer, copy your board as many times as you need and send individual links to your participants (using chat functionality of your online meeting tool).

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

I think a very short manual for guests could be helpful. If you use Collaboard in a training for an exercise, then you do not want to waste much time in explaining how and what to do. Just a short video with the most important 'moves' would be great. The video that is shown now is way too long!!! Please note: I am talking about guest access for example during a webinar etc.

There is a functionality to add links (named Quick Links) to certain parts of your board. But I think that the place where you can access the 'menu' with links and the icon used for that, is not logical. For me, as a regular user, it is fine, but I imagine that a guest that is working on/in the board for 10 minutes doesn't find/use it.

Instead, I would love to see an option to add links directly to individual elements (like notes and forms) on the board. Practically creating my own navigation buttons.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Collaboard for:

Brainstorming
Project management
Mindmap
Masterminding
Assignments for coachees
Assignments for participants online sessions

The benefit is that you can all do that in ONE tool!

 ### 42. Collaboard - a great board for collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hoang P. | Director, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I like the flexibility of Collaboard, when I can navigate around the board easily, with the mouse handler or with the scroll wheel.

I also like that Collaboard has plenty of templates - the number is quite comparable with any other big players in the field (like the M). A personal feeling is that the templates of Collaboard is well designed, with a balance between business and non-business. I particularly like the SWOT, Kanban, Bull Eyes Diagram templates.

I also like that the left menu of Collaboard has the explanation for each button, so I can easily use without any guessing.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The coloring of the templates and some UI components of Collaboard can be better designed.

For some reason, the right menu for me contain significantly big font size, making it appear not very balanced with the left-hand menu and occupy lot of spaces when showing up.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily collaborate with my team (subscribed for 10) to work on the board at the same time, so it is quite handy way to work together. The experience is similar to when we are working with Miro, or Google Docs, Google Sheet - very smoothly and feel "together"

 ### 43. Excellent online whiteboard that shows a lot of promise

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard is quite a robust tool that I discovered after a long time of using Miro. I like how feature packed the product is, despite being a new player on the market and I love that the fact that it offers an infinite canvas and doesn't restrict essential features like public sharing, guest users etc.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The general design language if the tool is quite different from what other modern tools on the web have nowadays. It seems useful at times, but at times, the use of gradients and hard colors seems a little dated. I also feel like the tool needs to focus more on the pure drawing experience by including more tools for quick wireframing (pattern fills, shape recognition, layers, fill opacity, etc.).

If they could focus a bit more on the areas I mentioned above in parentheses, I would be shouting from the rooftops about how amazing this tool is.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product design, wireframing, story mapping, sprint retrospectives.

 ### 44. Good for brainstorming ideas and organising projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ross W. | Marketing consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I like being able to start with templates and import multiple templates into one board. You can get an excellent birds-eye view of your project. It helps to see the big picture of where things fit together.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

It needs folders so you can group boards. At the moment, it is a bit untidy if you have a lot of boards. I would like more shapes and the ability to resize the shapes to custom sizes.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem it solves for me is planning, rather than sticky notes on walls, everything is on a board. The benefit is being able to see the big picture and easily share your ideas.

 ### 45. Add Better Visuals to Your Content and Trainings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neel R. | Performance and Achievement Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

The visual aspect of Collaboard makes it an attractive tool for communicating ideas more effectively.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

There are a lot of options for creating visual content, so it can take a while to get familiar with all that's available. Investing time is more the factor.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

Try it out to see if it meets your needs. Give yourself some time to learn the various features available, so you have a better idea of everything that's available.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating visual content. This goes beyond just creating videos as they can be incorporated into content being created. One benefit realized has been the clarity need to communicate ideas that makes it easier for others to understand.

 ### 46. Great tool for online/interactive mood board

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clément B. | Fondateur - Producteur Interactif, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

The ability to edit everyone together is a great feature + all the tools for bringing elements in the mood board, + writing directly with hand annotation. This mix together makes it an excellent tool for online creativity.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

There is still some work to be done on the admin interface and the onboarding for guests. Some minor UX UI would be great, but they often feature, so I am pretty confident it will be there soon!

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

try it then you will love it to create extraordinary online mood board/brainstorming

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Show all the work done for the client. Get them to collaborate with us at the last stage. Covid useful!

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Virtually Infinite WhiteBoard. You can add virtually anything to this shared space. Combined with Around.co and you have the best collaborative environment you ever experienced.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The user interface and templates can use a bit of a refresh. This is a definite competitor to Miro but Miro's templates are a cut above.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to design Sight Maps, use Canvas as templates, and have unlimited guests adds great functionality. I try to avoid death by meetings and instead aim to create immersive collaborative experiences for both my teammates and clients. Collaboard really helps me deliver on that promise.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

Collaboard is a company based in Switzerland. Data protection is taken very seriously, which is an absolute plus for Collaboard. The team offers good support, and the software is constantly developing. And the company has quite a long history, so they are here for the long run.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The user interface still looks a little outdated; a re-design would make Collaboard an even better choice.

**Recommendations to others considering Collaboard:**

From my experience, I honestly can recommend Collaboard. Just give it a try,

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I´m using Collaboard for organizing notes and preparing content for school work. Also, it is very well suited for brainstorming sessions and even presentations.

 ### 49. The best tool for online collaboration that is also GDPR compliant.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan B. | Professional Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

We were looking for a tool that is easy to use and leaves no questions unanswered regarding the GDPR. And with Collaboard, we found exactly that. We use it for personality coaching and live online workshops. The tool has everything to achieve high interactivity with the participants and is simultaneously easy to use. That was important to us. The ability to upload images and videos is also well implemented.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

The help is currently only available in English. I always have to think about what the functionality might be called in English when searching.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Online Coaching and Workshops

 ### 50. A great place to get your ideas down

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl B. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Collaboard?**

I love the infinite canvas, being able to put down all of my ideas in one place, zoom in and out and rearrange my content. I'm so much more productive having everything that I need in one place rather than switching between multiple different applications; diagrams, documents, videos all in one application.

**What do you dislike about Collaboard?**

My only sight gripe with Collaboard is that the UI takes time to get used to.

**What problems is Collaboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aside from Collaboard making me more productive it's a great way of sharing ideas with team members, getting feedback and collaborating. Mapping out a processes and creating ERDs becomes a breeze.
