synchronisation issues, unable to plan the order of shots during a day, only whole scenes. luck of checking script coverage with mastershots (spread through actions and dialogs) completed by inserts, PoVs. Currently only one shot can be "assigned" to a phrase in the script. Lack of global consistency support (ie I cannot update multiple shot data at once (ie, changing focal length for a specific setup (for example: Two shot dialog).

"Celtx Makes Screenwriting Effortless with Seamless Formatting"

What do you like best about Celtx?

The software is very easy to use for first-time screenwriters as well as industry professionals. With just a simple click, you can have your import and export ready. Celtx also automatically aligns Fountain text into proper screenplay formatting seamlessly. I haven’t run into weird glitches or hangs, so performance stays consistently good. The ROI is also excellent; for just a few dollars a month, you get access to industry-grade software. The onboarding process is strong, too—they’ve integrated a custom tool that gives you a clear introduction to navigating the software, which helps ensure you’re not overwhelmed the moment you get started. To answer your question about playwriting: yes, Celtx is absolutely built to industry standards, but stageplays are unique because theater actually has two different accepted formats! We support both the American standard (where character names are centered) and the International standard (where names are flush left).

Because the editor view often defaults to one style, it can sometimes look a bit unexpected. However, you can easily toggle between the American and International formats right inside your Print and Download preview settings before you export your PDF.

We have a quick guide in our Help Center that walks you through exactly how to adjust these settings and get the perfect layout for your production I've attached if you need more guidance, and you're always welcome to reach out to our support team if you get stuck! it help my staff keep on track.it helps with scheduling. the program does a lot for you which help you with time. the area to ask question is there. let you up load your script and edit. keeps you on task and save every step. its great for a beginner or someone who is experiaced. Celtx is very easy to use with a friendly interface that makes scriptwriting simple and distraction free. I like how it automatically saves my work, which gives me peace of mind. One thing I struggle with is the script breakdown feature, which can be a bit tricky to use. The storyboard tool could also be improved to be more flexible and intuitive.

It removes the fear of losing work by automatically saving everything in real time, which gives me peace of mind and lets me focus fully on writing. It also solves file compatibility issues with its simple import and export options, making it easy to share work with people who use different formats. The collaboration tools solve communication and version-control problems by allowing my team to work together in real time and track changes. The history restoration feature solves the problem of mistakes or unwanted edits by letting me quickly revert to earlier versions. Overall, these solutions save me time, reduce stress, and keep my workflow organized, so I can spend more energy on creativity instead of managing technical issues. "Easy to understand and to use it"

When you write, you cannot write a word in another color. I would like to write my script in English and French and to write the French part in red for example. It’s impossible. Also, it is not possible to change the size of the characters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
