Easy to learn and enter customer info. User friendly.

We don't do billing from Blue Folder and that is why we don't use it more often.

We can see when other electricians are scheduled for certain jobs so we don't over book

**What do you like best about BlueFolder?**

Ease of use made employee onboarding very simple and most find the interface intuitive. The API was a huge factor in choosing to go with BlueFolder. We have integrated it with our own proprietary business management software and fully automated billing via a custom QBO connector.

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

It would be nice to have more user types with different fees associated with them. For example, we have some managers who want login access (paid per user) even though they really don't do anything with it. Also, the way the API is linked to a user account makes it so that when I expand our custom integrations to our sister companies I'll need to add paid user to each of them. A single developer account that could have access to multiple companies would be a nice solution.

**What problems is BlueFolder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to keep track of all work done and parts used on paper. BlueFolder has completely changed how our business operates, for the better. Our billing has become significantly more accurate since adopting BlueFolder.

**What do you like best about BlueFolder?**

Customizations are a great tool.  I like that we can change / add most anything on the fly.  I am able to add as much information about a topic including required fields which help.

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

I'm lacking the IT components for IT Administration and Management.  For Fieldwork, this is a great tool, for IT collaboration and troubleshooting, not my tool of choice as I really need a combination of CRS plus computer support functionality in 1 tool.  That said, i realize that this was not what it was most likely built for so I am pretty happy with what I can do with the current price point,

**What problems is BlueFolder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing our communications between the IT department and the rest of the production side of our industry is important and works pretty well.  Communicating with all stakeholders through Bluefolder is also a great benefit (We used to use email which was constantly being lost or not having the correct persons attached).  BlueFolder makes it easy, no matter what level the affiliated person needs to be.

**What do you like best about BlueFolder?**

The ability to track and find history on old jobs, equipment, serial numbers etc.

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

Blue folder does not transfer the cost of new materials to quickbooks, which makes more work for me to enter each cost individually in quickbooks when creating new products/items.

 Line items transfer date to QuickBooks. There's no option to turn off date transfer. I have to manually remove the date from each item on quickbooks side. If i dont, the invoice will not print the line items in the order i arrange it. 

After transfer, I also would like the option to have the words (wok order details/notes) removed.

**What do you like best about BlueFolder?**

Service request smart lists auto update based on specific criteria. We use them to keep a visual display of people's workload, and to document other processes such as service requests that requires PO's, etc.

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

Calendar integration with outlook is one way. They should also create smart lists for equipment items so that you don't have to constantly export reports to excel. We would like to be able to generate lists based on equipment due dates, and other custom criteria. Also, the team calendar view could use some work.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueFolder:**

It's a great product with basic features.

**What problems is BlueFolder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluefolder is the backbone of how we run our business. It does most things very well. It has gaps, but we are able to fill those with other processes. I wish that the support team would make efforts to provide the features that we have been suggesting to them.

**What do you like best about BlueFolder?**

I like that it's a web-based platform and the new mobile app has helped.  I like the customization that we can make to the platform.  I

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

1)  We store a lot of important notes in the customer's 'comments' area, but these are hard to get to on the phone app (Customer > History > Comments).  While in the standard site we go to Customer and go to Comments tab.   

2) Integration with Outlook could be better.  Our Calendar syncs with Outlook Calendar (one-way); wish it could sync both ways.  We use the Office365 Exchange platform.  Editing and Rescheduling is difficult.  If I delete a scheduled appointment from Outlook; the BlueFolder sync re-adds it to the calendar.  So the only way for us to remove it is to remove it from BlueFolder first.  Would love for it to be able to delete or change on both ends from Outlook.

3) Sometimes when I search for a contacts name within an account.  It doesn't show any results.  No results come back.

4) I'd love reoccuring tickets.

This allows us to manage our clients and service tickets.  We heavily use BlueFolder every day for our IT Computer Services.  This software definitely helps because we have multiple techs and employees.

The tracking of projects along with the associated expenses and documents
Our company has used Bluefolder for years and it is reliable and meets most of our needs

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

Not a huge issue but would like greater ability to write labour reports.
We export the labour data and prepare management reports and use for timesheets.
Not easy to export into accounting program.

I recommend Bluefolder as it is easy to use, has very good IT support.

We are able to setup and use bluefolder for quoting projects.
And for those jobs won tracking the status, scheduling work assignments.
It is also be used to track billable hours performance for employees.

We can invoice as soon as work is completed. Service history tracking is much easier then before.

Custom reports can be difficult to create.

We are able to assign the tasks to the technicians easily and review the entire work orders. 
The batch out of several work orders is great.

The tax system for Canadian business is not great in BF. We really hope there's option setting for us to be able to add tax.

Assign technician is easy now. We used to enter line by line in QB and now we can do batch out. easy to track.

I like all of the functionality that we can do with it.  Every day we find more uses for it.

Sometimes I wish support could be faster.

We used to use paper to manage all of our technicians across four states and as you can imagine it didn't work well.  Bluefolder has allowed us to streamline our whole process and reduce our time to invoice and increase our customer satisfaction.

Its versatility.  We were able to design custom forms that applied to all of our users.  API was good as I was able to pull all of the data I needed.

Some of the screens are overly complicated.

Customer issues are being solved quicker because of the extra amount of info that we can gather on the forms.  Customers and Mangers are happier because of it.

difficulty in getting to a signature page for service tickets in the mobile app. Would rather not involve billing.

The platform was easy to learn for everyone- including office staff and Field Technicians.

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

We had some minor difficulties getting our customer and billing data set up correctly. This was due to keeping a process that is antiquated within our system- but required a good bit of hand typing.

We have eliminated retyping paper field work orders, which is a large time saver. Also, tracking all open and lending work orders allows us to stay on top of pending items.

We love the simplicity of the program. The ease of putting in work orders and the items you are able to add on is great! We’ve had multiple programs we’ve tried and this has been the best one.

The search feature isn’t as great. You have to have the exact same wording to find the work order.

It is worth it if your looking for a switch! They have great features and super easy to use.

Streamlining all of our maintenance. Making sure each team member has access and can put in work orders. It’s awesome for when you need to look something up and you can find if it was put in or not no matter who put it in.

**What do you like best about BlueFolder?**

This platform is really easy to use and that is an attribute that has allowed us to work more quickly, in addition to this we now observe the work orders that have been done previously with the advantage of checking the history or background of things.

I like that Bluefolder is an efficient platform, that each month is updated, very fast, also has the ability to be correctly attributed in an automatic way and I really like the format of the invoices.

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

Actually, there is nothing that I do not like, even if a mishap happens or something I do not like, your technical support team does a great job, creating very effective solutions.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueFolder:**

I recommend this platform because it means the growth of the company, in addition you will be delighted with the most attentive and professional customer service that I have known and with which we have worked. You will not regret this investment.

This platform has been a helping hand for our company, has made all our processes more organized, also if for some reason our team does not find something desired, it only goes to the search bar, and solves very fast, allowing with this move forward with the daily work.

Since we worked with BLUEFOLDER we have seen the positive changes, growth, and efficiency, allows us to work in a more comfortable way, by personalizing to the taste or need, the important information.

Another function that helped the department a lot was the invoices, before we presented problems and setbacks, but this software gave us the possibility of managing them in a fast and quality, also has several payment plans with very affordable costs.

**What do you like best about BlueFolder?**

This software is very good for storing all the information in a structured way of teams, clients and other areas of the company. It also allows structuring that information, organizing it to use it more appropriately.

It is very easy to introduce and handle new data without requiring much technical knowledge.

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

When you have a large amount of related data you have to make reports individually, if those reports could be customized and merged, all the information would be much better integrated.

It manages the data accurately and the reports are clear and structured, so I recommend this comprehensive data management software.

It has allowed us to improve data management thanks to the introduction facilities within its software.

It has allowed us to save time and resources to properly structure that information.

Lastly, it has also helped us generate detailed and accurate reports.

**What do you like best about BlueFolder?**

We like that Bluefolder is a web based system that we can use out in the feld. It has a free mobile app that is a great help. Reports and dashboards are easy to use. Works with quickbooks.

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

We don't like how it posts address to Google calendar.  It will add the name to the address field which some map apps don't like.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueFolder:**

Would like to see a better Google Calendar interface.

It gives us remote access to our customer data.

It's a prefect simple solution for arranging workers on the field. It saves lots of time and money to create your own system to control the workflow.

Let of information and support. Sometimes it cannot save the work that you sent.

We are hiring sale representatives to the field, it really helped us to control and manage.

**What do you like best about BlueFolder?**

The tool does just about everything you are looking for from a PSA perspective.  It also have a free mobile app that is a great help.  Reports and dashboards are fairly intuitive to create and it also allows for customization.

**What do you dislike about BlueFolder?**

Biggest draw back is that it does not integrate with Salesforce, but I am guessing that that will change now that this company is now owned by Dell.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueFolder:**

I would keep an eye on this tool as my hunch says that with Dell's backing, it will quickly grow into one of the top 5 PSA tools on the market.  Try out the free demo, but if you are using Salesforce, it will not integrate ... yet.
