I wouldn't even recommend it for personal use. I would expect a video editing tool to have clip editing capabilities beyond trimming and the pre-made templates to be editable with blocks to add/remove etc. The "watermark" is a joke that you can't even decide if you want it in the back or front. But if you don't use it on a pre-made template you cant add a picture to a corner...really poor technology and if you are willing to start from scratch using this tool or any other is the same. There are much better options (even free) out there. I ended up using for the clips themselves a free online specialized tool (I changed speeds and cut pieces from the middle of the video, added comments and graphs), for the full compilation I used the free version of their competition which had significantly more design options. Finally, the customer service is horrible. I tried to cancel less than 12 hours into the membership and they wouldn't allow it due to the "no reimbursement policy". As we would say in Spanish "bread for today, hunger for tomorrow". Using the amazing transitions only increase the amount of students engaged with the content. **What do you dislike about Animoto?** I dislike how that sometimes that textboxes disappear right after I place them. This greatly increases the amount of time I have to spend making the presentation. Also, some of the pictures seem big on the thumbnail but prove to be very small in reality. You can, however, increase the size but that does take away at the quality of the image. The effects that you can use are very limited compared to more bulky software such as premiere pro or davinci resolve. However, this is understandable because Animoto is indeed an online service and operates within the cloud. **Recommendations to others considering Animoto:** Animoto is an amazing thing that you can easily implement into your classroom. All you have to do is gather your information that you wish to teach to your students and then simply create a presentation with the use of Animoto pictures as well as effects. Through a survey I conducted, I was able to determine that almost all of my students have enjoyed it and think that this way of teaching will increase their mark. The best part about it is its availability on all platforms either it is a web browser or desktop application or a mobile phone. It is a complete start to end software; it would not let you hang in the dry, you can complete your footages and edit them as well. There are multiple professional templates available in the media library, I have personally used them and made the video footage for our company and it resulted in great reach expressions.
