It allows my clients to navigate directly to CPACharge from my CRM without having to navigate to another website, so it's a seamless integration on the client's viewing side. Everything works great. I like that it's connected to an option for clients to pay later while my firm gets paid right away. I like that we can set up recurring payments for monthly invoicing. They had really, really good rates that were preferential, and it was built specifically for CPA firms and law firms. They were hyper responsive and had really great customer service. The initial setup was so long ago that I can't really remember, but I do know that it was not very complicated at all. **What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?** "I have issues with contracts with CRMs.","My CRM recently broke with 8am CPACharge to set up their own payment processing via Stripe.","I would have liked for 8am CPACharge to fight harder for that.","On the client side of my CRM now, I don't think it's as seamless as it was with 8am CPACharge." **What problems is 8am CPACharge solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use 8am CPACharge to process invoice payments and get timely direct deposits of client payments. It connects directly via API with my CRM, so clients can pay without going to another site. There's an option for clients to pay later while my firm gets paid right away, plus recurring payments for monthly invoicing. ### 2. It has lower processing fees than anybody else that I found, and the ACH is really affordable. I use it to invoice all my customers, and it simplifies recurring billing for me. I also think it's very easy for my customers to pay. The initial setup was very easy and just took a few moments. **What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?** {"I don't like how when I view a draft of an invoice, there's not an easy way to go back and send it. I have to get out all the way and go back into the invoice."} **What problems is 8am CPACharge solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it to invoice all my customers. Now accept chipped cards and tap to pay. **What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?** Lost the integration with TaxDome which was very disappointing. **What problems is 8am CPACharge solving and how is that benefiting you?** CPACharge fixes the problem we had around accepting card and ACH payments (or really anything other than cash and checks) from clients in cost and time-effective fashion. The fact that it integrates with other tools we use is a definite plus. Also being able to charge recurring clients automatically instead of forcing someone on the admin staff to charge the client's payment method has been a real efficiency boost. This has also reduced accounts receivable and shortened the cash flow cycle which I really appreciate as a small business owner. ### 4. Have always been able to reach someone, and have always received helpful service when I do have to connect. **What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?** It no longer integrates with my other software creating a more manual process. **What problems is 8am CPACharge solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to schedule recurring payments or create one-off invoices as needed. I love their partnership with Affirm that helps my clients make payments in full toward larger invoices which helps them get started right away with managing their cash flow easier. ### 5. The customer service is pretty good as well. **What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?** I wish the monthly end reporting where it breaks down the charge for each swipe was clearer in the deposit rec. I also wish it made it easier to push the fees back to the clients using the various payment methods. **What problems is 8am CPACharge solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping our DSO below 45 days is critical.we now have met that goal for the past year using autopay, payment links and reminders. ### 6. It also integrates with another software we use, so it makes it easy to get paid. **What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?** The price of the credit card fees can be a lot sometimes, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. **What problems is 8am CPACharge solving and how is that benefiting you?** A lot of people don't carry cash around anymore so being able to provide a way to accept credit/debit cards for our clients is very important. Our clients also like that we can send them a link to pay on their own so they don't have to give that information over the phone. ### 7. This makes cash flow planning so much easier and reconciling transactions to invoices a breeze. Customer support has also been amazingly helpful, even though I've only needed support twice, and both only because of weird situations on my side. **What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?** The per-transaction fee is slightly higher than all of the other merchant service providers I looked at but this really adds up. Also, the passthrough fees from the card issuers make it difficult to predict the actual monthly invoice amount and none of the other merchant services providers I looked at have this additional fee making CPACharge even more expensive than other providers. **What problems is 8am CPACharge solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reconciling deposits to invoices is easy, and the several options available for clients to submit payment make it much easier for them to pay quickly. ### 8. That off loads the task from the client and it also allows me to collect sooner. **What do you dislike about 8am CPACharge?** The posting to the bank account can get messy sometimes if there are charge reversals. The reporting is not clear. **What problems is 8am CPACharge solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allowing me to collect from clients sooner. It's not burdensome to use and helps us keep our Accounts Receivable low. The setup was very easy, and honestly, I can't think of any improvements.
