The swiss army knife for any BOBJ administrator **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Carsten Breit B. | Platform/System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2023 **What do you like best about 360Suite?** Having more than 20 years’ experience with various versions of BusinessObjects, the 360Suite is the must have Swiss Army Knife you always needed to make your life as an administrator so much easier. 360Suite provides a lot of different tools and currently we use 360View, 360plus,360eyes, for the admin-istration of multiple environments, with 50 tenants and 10K users. 360View is used daily for the general platform management and administration tasks, live or automated documentation and administration tasks. 360View really helped us with connection overrides for our 50 tenants having one connection per tenant per universe. 360Plus is used daily for backup and promoting changes to standard content. 360Plus is also used for restoring objects accidently deleted by users either from the backup or using the build in recycle bin func-tionality. 360Plus replaced the promotion “tools” provided by SAP and it has always run flawlessly. 360Eyes is used daily to extract system metadata for all environments providing data for analyzing and auditing our BusinessObjects deployments for all users, universes, connections, documents etc. It’s also used for delivering GDPR reports or detailed universe overview reports to the tenants. **What do you dislike about 360Suite?** Nothing to dislike about 360Suite. The 360Suite improves all the time based on customer feedback. **What problems is 360Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us on daily basis with a lot af administrative tasks on It helps us promoting objects to our different environments. It helps us providing a secure and fast backup of all objects on the platform. It helps us manage complex connection overrides for the universes. We are really happy with the product and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is using SAP Business Objects in their company. The versioning system doesn't exactly fit our needs/workflow, but the developer actually reached out to us to get our requirements and they are currently checking whether it can be incorporated into the 360 suite product! The bulk management of users and reports saves a significant amount of time. **What do you dislike about 360Suite?** The setup becomes more complicated if you want to split apart the various pieces (i.e. tomcat on one server, application on a different server, etc). It can be done and their support team is extremely willing to help you through it, but it does become more complicated. **Recommendations to others considering 360Suite:** If you are using SAP Business Objects, you owe it to yourself to try this out. I wouldn't want to operate a BObj environment without it. **What problems is 360Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Once huge problem it solved was moving everything to a new server. We were building a new BObj environment and heavily modifying connections as we went along. 360 Suite made it extremely easy to bulk change the connections, usernames, passwords, etc for reports. Generating reports from the 360Suite Snapshots is efficient and uses minimal Business Objects resources. **What do you dislike about 360Suite?** So far, there is nothing I dislike about the product. It has met our initial needs very well, and we continue to generate more reports as requirements change. **Recommendations to others considering 360Suite:** 360Suite is an outstanding product that is full of features and capabilities. We have realized a significant reduction of time and resources in performing essential reporting and administrative tasks. We can provide more detailed reports required for Impact Analysis, Document Usage, and evidence for Audit requirements. Impact Analysis : 360Eyes Who was never been asked to find if a DB field is used in a Report, or which documents is used and by which users ?By using 360Eyes, we are able to quickly answered to all these questions and much more. You need to migrate to a new SAP BI Version ? in this case I highly recommend to use 360Eyes ! None Regression Tool : 360Bind ! A must After a big universe change, or a migration, or any change on your Database system, who can guarantee that nothing has been impacted, and that the reports content is still the same ? 360Bind can do it for you. As example, we were able to compare and highlight differences of around 1'600 reports within only 4 days (And all reports were refreshed). I immediately liked the tool because it allowed us to clean up unused users and queries. In my new entity, as soon as I arrived in 2016, I insisted on purchasing 360Suite to make our lives easier. The new features developed since 2013 have greatly helped us during the migration to audit, clean, and migrate more securely. Besides that, the Support service and the relationship with the sales team are of very good quality. Any issues you do have can be raised via a 360 support ticket of which you get a fast response. **What problems is 360Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** 360bind is useful for a number of reasons. Whenever there's a SAP Business Warehouse or SAP Business Objects upgrade to be done, we take snapshots of all our Business Objects reports pre-upgrade and then post-upgrade take another snapshot, to then compare the two. The snapshot not only quickly tells you if a report has failed to run, it can also tell you if it's run with similar data/formatting depending on the level comparison you set the binds up for. The 360binds are also setup on a weekly basis and are monitored to check that there are no issues or to investigate if there are, instead of having to manually run them ourselves or an end user find it before us. 360eyes is brilliant for impact analysis. Whenever we have to make a change to a BW object which impacts reporting, you can do Where Used functions to see which reports are using the object so that we can plan the required maintenance and make users aware. ### 35.
