I like most about 200 OK is how reliably it signals that everything just works. When I see that status, I know the request went through successfully and the system responded exactly as expected—no guesswork needed. It’s simple, fast, and reassuring, especially when you’re monitoring APIs or troubleshooting issues. It saves time and builds confidence that the backend is stable and performing well. One thing I dislike about 200 OK is that it can sometimes be too reassuring. It only tells you that the request was successfully processed—not that the result is actually useful or correct. You can still get a 200 response with empty data, unexpected content, or even an error message buried in the payload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
