## 100ms Reviews
  ### 1. Dead-Simple WebRTC Implementation with Low Latency and Strong Moderation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shrawan Kumar B. | Senior Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about 100ms?**

1. Dead simple to implement — The SDK handles all the messy WebRTC stuff: servers, encoding, decoding, network adapting. I just focused on building UI. Got our audio rooms live in 2 days.
2. Low latency + solid quality— Audio/video clarity is great even on bad networks. The plug-n-play UI elements auto-adjust video quality based on connection.
3. Built-in moderation— User roles with muting, kicking, screen sharing controls right from their dashboard. Made running mentor sessions way easier.
4. Support is fast— Dedicated Slack channel, and the team actually replies quickly.

Biggest win: We didn’t have to become WebRTC experts. 100ms abstracted all the hard parts.

**What do you dislike about 100ms?**

1. Docs have gaps — It’s well documented overall, but some edge cases and advanced features are missing details. Had to ping support on Slack to figure a few things out.
2. No Android foreground service out of the box — If you want rooms to keep running when the app goes to background, you have to build that yourself. Not ideal if you’re not a native Android dev.
3. Notification controls are basic— Can’t add mute/leave buttons to the call notification without extra work. Would love that built-in.

No deal-breakers for us, but these would save dev time if 100ms handled them natively.

**What problems is 100ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem it solves:
Building live audio/video from scratch with WebRTC is a nightmare. Signaling servers, TURN/STUN setup, codec negotiation, handling flaky networks, cross-platform bugs... we estimated 3-4 months just for a basic group call.

How it benefits me:
1. Shipped in days, not months: Had full-fledged audio rooms with screen sharing on iOS + Android live in under a week. The SDK + prebuilt UI components did 80% of the work.
2. We focus on product, not infrastructure: Don't have to maintain media servers or worry about scaling. 100ms handles low latency globally, so our calls just work.
3. Moderation built-in: User roles + dashboard controls let us mute, remove, or change permissions on the fly during mentor sessions. No custom backend work needed.
4. Cross-platform consistency: One SDK for web, iOS, Android. Screen sharing, chat, recording all work the same everywhere.

  ### 2. 100ms is the best platform for audio, video, communication with lots of advance feature.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham J. | Lead Developer, E-Learning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2023

**What do you like best about 100ms?**

100ms is very easy to implement for web, app and its allow cross platform communication with enhansed feature like screen sharing, chat, group creation among the teams, screen recoding etc

**What do you dislike about 100ms?**

100ms implementaion document need to improved some where information is lagging.

**What problems is 100ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

100ms is allowing to connect the user with different mode audio, video, chat, and also allowing to record the screen, allowing the screen sharing

  ### 3. Easy to setup with good latency and audio/video clarity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush R. | Software Development Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about 100ms?**

Very well documented. The support team responds quickly through the dedicated slack channel. The servers they provided offer low latency and good audio/video clarity. The SDK handles everything from communicating with servers to encoding/decoding transmission. They've also offered a plug-n-play UI element to render videos from other users, which takes care of varying video quality based on network stability. User roles with moderation tools are also a plus point giving the room owner more control.

**What do you dislike about 100ms?**

No criticisms. I prefer their SDK handled foreground service on Android to keep rooms running in the background. For the time being, developers are required to take this on their own, which is not appealing when you are not working on native platforms and have little to no experience in the field. Adding this will be helpful in the future, along with configurable controls in the notification itself (muting, leaving call, etc.)

**What problems is 100ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlined handling of audio and video for group calls and mentor sessions. 100ms made it easier for us to have full-fledged audio rooms in our app. Screen sharing on iOS and Android was necessary, and 100ms enabled us to provide that feature. They have encapsulated all the problematic aspects of WebRTC and made a simple package for developers to use. We just had to focus on building a UI around it. Their user role segregation options also made moderating easier for us, especially with full configurable controls through their web panel, allowing us to change properties on the fly.
