One of the things that I like about BackBox is that it assists in avoiding misconfigurations of our network devices. Our online retail IT setting is full of routers and firewalls that have to be constantly updated and the platform is perfect in ensuring that any change is documented and backed up. With alerts and versioning and data provided by SolarWinds and incident tickets provided by ServiceNow we have the opportunity to identify problems before they can impact service.

The most appropriate thing about BackBox is that it guards our infrastructure, backing up all network devices automation. When it comes to the management of IT systems, I was involved in the process of manual backups that were costly in terms of time, and in some cases, the configurations were lost. BackBox offers a scheduled backup, a versioning facility and automated restore which is a massive relief.

My favorite feature of BackBox is the manner in which it looks after repetitive network tasks in an organized manner. The implementation process was not disruptive because it was seen as controlled. We have connected it to ServiceNow and our alerting systems within the company so that changes and backups are synchronized. I spend almost every day on the platform, which demonstrates how it is an important part of my everyday life. My work is much more predictable due to the number of features that are oriented to device configuration and policy validation.
