# Do I get upgrades with my license purchase? To get the upgrades for your system, you have to purchase the upgrade package. The upgrade package is issued for 1 calendar year and it covers all the updates for the same PIRO major version (1.x or 2.x) that your license was issued for. The upgrade package also covers tech time - in order to ensure that your data is not affected by the update and the platform integrity is preserved, our techs will perform the update on your system every time there is a new release that needs to be applied to your system.
