# What’s the best software for tracking sales incentives?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">What’s the <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/sales-compensation">best software for tracking sales incentives</a>?</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">We’re trying to find the right software to track sales incentives across different roles and plans. Our current approach (read: spreadsheets and emails) is messy, time-consuming, and lacks transparency for our reps.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">We want something that can:</p><ul>
<li>Track multiple incentive types (commissions, bonuses, SPIFFs, accelerators)</li>
<li>Let reps view their incentive progress in real-time</li>
<li>Handle changes and exceptions without breaking things</li>
<li>Integrate with Salesforce or other CRMs</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Based on what I’ve seen, these are the top platforms I’m evaluating:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/salesforce-spiff/reviews">Salesforce Spiff</a> – Strong CRM integration and automation. How well does it handle complex or layered incentives?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/everstage/reviews">Everstage</a> – Looks focused on rep transparency and ease of use. Is it flexible enough for more than just standard commission plans?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/captivateiq/reviews">CaptivateIQ</a> – Known for robust rules and modeling. Does it take a lot of time to set up and manage ongoing changes?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/qobra/reviews">Qobra</a> – Seems user-friendly and promising for small teams. Any feedback from those running multiple incentive types?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/xactly-incent/reviews">Xactly Incent</a> – Legacy player with deep functionality. Is it too complex for a smaller company with a lean ops team?</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">For those who’ve implemented a sales incentive tool:</p><ul>
<li>What platform are you using and why?</li>
<li>Does it help reps stay motivated and aligned with targets?</li>
<li>How hard is it to maintain incentive plans month to month?</li>
<li>Anything you wish you'd known before choosing?</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Appreciate any input from fellow small business sales or ops leaders—your experiences make all the difference!</p>

For us, the breakaway point was needing something everyone on the team could actually use without a ton of training. We ended up going with Visdum after seeing it on G2 as one of the easier tools to pick up. Implementation was simple and easy, and when we hit small snags early on, support helped us move past them quickly. Not saying it’s the only choice, but it worked well for our setup. Worth talking to a few folks who are using each tool to see what fits your team.
