# What’s the best sales compensation software you’ve used? Curious to know!

Since this kind of software directly affects how motivated and paid sales teams feel, picking the right one really matters.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">I browsed through some of the highest-rated platforms and put together a quick shortlist of five that stood out:</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/salesforce-spiff/reviews"><strong>Salesforce Spiff</strong></a>: Combines the familiarity of spreadsheets with powerful automation, enabling teams to manage complex incentive plans efficiently.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/qobra/reviews"><strong>Qobra</strong></a>: An all-in-one platform designed to motivate and align revenue teams, offering customizable compensation plans and real-time performance tracking.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/visdum/reviews"><strong>Visdum</strong></a>: Tailored for mid-market businesses, Visdum simplifies the design and management of sales compensation plans with an intuitive interface.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/quotapath/reviews"><strong>QuotaPath</strong></a>: Provides a user-friendly solution for tracking commissions and aligning compensation with sales goals, praised for its ease of use and quick implementation. </p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/captivateiq/reviews"><strong>CaptivateIQ</strong></a>: Offers a flexible platform for automating complex commission structures, providing real-time visibility into earnings and performance metrics.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">These all look promising, but tools like this are only as good as how they work in the real world. Have you used any of these, or something else entirely, for your team? Would love to hear what’s worked well (or not so well) when it comes to managing sales compensation. Thank you!</p>

We have used two tools from this list across different companies. What ended up mattering most wasn’t modeling power, it was how usable the system was once finance, RevOps and sales managers all started touching it. In our current org we use Visdum, mainly because admins can actually manage comp plans without tech dependency, and integrations with our stack run smoothly. Onboarding was also faster than what we’d seen with other tools before, which helped in adoption.

From experience, the best tool is the one your ops team can realistically run without friction every quarter.
