# What's the best Data Management Platform (DMP) for marketing teams that need audience segmentation without IT support?

Within Data Management Platform (DMP), Simpli.fi, Zeta Marketing Platform, and Lotame Spherical Platform come up most for self-serve segmentation.

Zeta Marketing Platform: combines identity data with marketing tools in one interface, reducing the need to hand off segmentation work to a technical team.

Lotame Spherical Platform: known for a straightforward segment builder that marketing teams can operate without deep technical setup.

MediaMath by Infillion: pairs DMP functionality with media buying, useful for teams that want segmentation tied directly to campaign activation.

Adobe Audience Manager: more enterprise in scope, often still requiring closer collaboration with a data team despite marketing-facing tools.

I’d test self-service beyond creating a basic segment. The real question is whether marketers can combine attributes, adjust exclusions, troubleshoot unexpectedly small audiences, and activate the segment without involving IT. If technical help is still required whenever the targeting logic becomes more sophisticated, the platform is only partially self-serve.
