# What is the best platform for real-time meeting transcription?

Our team has been looking for a way to get live transcripts during meetings so nothing gets missed. <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/fireflies-ai/reviews">Fireflies.ai</a>: Provides live transcription across Zoom, Meet, and Teams. Does it handle overlapping speakers and different accents well?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/google-cloud-speech-to-text/reviews">Google Cloud Speech-to-Text</a>: A developer-friendly API for real-time transcription. Is it too technical for everyday users, or can teams adapt it easily?</li>

Riverside works well for cleaner conversations, like interviews or structured meetings, but less so for messy team discussions.

We tried using Fathom and Google Speech to text. Fathom felt strong for summaries and highlights, but it was not as focused on real-time transcription during the meeting itself. Google Speech-to-Text was very powerful and accurate, but it requires technical setup, so it’s not ideal for most teams looking for a quick solution.

Fireflies has been the most practical for us. It joins meetings automatically and gives live transcripts, but accuracy drops a bit when people talk over each other.
