What I like about Hivebrite is that it creates a dedicated space for our community. It brings member communication, engagement, and community management into one platform and gives us a clear structure for organizing community activities. For a small organization having many tools is available in on place is valuable even if we cannot make full use of all the features.

How effectively the platform could be shaped around our specific identity. We customised the space heavily to reflect the Northvolt brand, using colours, typography, and visual language to create something that felt immediately familiar to alumni rather than a generic community platform. The ability to build custom webpages within the platform was particularly valuable. This was used to create dedicated resource pages, topic-specific content hubs, and information listings, all with flexible, customisable section layouts that gave us control. The news article function became a core part of how we communicated with members. It is quick to produce, clean to read, and easy to keep consistent. We used it to publish reported updates on what was happening across the former Northvolt sites, industry news, and community stories. Combined with the email and newsletter tools, it gave us a full content and communications stack in one place. We also leveraged the Job postings feature heavily, to highlight roles that may be of interest to the engineers, manufacturing force, and corporate employees of Northvolt. We posted roles as admin, and made it possible for alumni to publish roles themselves to support a grass-roots initiative to keep content fresh.
