Automates Events Effortlessly with AWS Lambda

I like the serverless model and automatic scaling of AWS Lambda because I don't have to manage servers, and it scales automatically according to workload. Its ability to integrate with other AWS Services is great for automation and event-driven applications. The pay-per-use pricing model is also appealing, making it cost-effective for non-continuously running workloads. I value the automatic scaling, event-driven triggers, and seamless integration with services like API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, and EventBridge for building automation and event-based workflows. CloudWatch logging and monitoring are crucial for troubleshooting and tracking performance. Using environment variables and IAM execution roles makes managing configuration and access control easier and more secure. I found the initial setup relatively easy, especially because creating a function and configuring basic triggers and IAM permissions through the AWS console is straightforward.

Flexible, Reliable EC2 That Makes Deploying and Scaling Servers Easy

Amazon EC2 provides flexible cloud servers that are easy to manage through the AWS console, with a straightforward UI and good integration with services like VPC, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and Auto Scaling. Performance is reliable, and I can choose instance sizes based on workload and scale when needed. The pay-as-you-go pricing can provide good ROI compared with maintaining physical servers, although costs need to be monitored carefully. AWS provides extensive documentation and support for onboarding and troubleshooting. Overall, EC2 has improved my workflow by allowing me to quickly deploy, manage, and scale servers without dealing with physical hardware.

Complete Control and Strong Network Isolation with Amazon VPC

The level of granular control you have over your virtual networking environment is unmatched. I love the ability to cleanly separate resources into public and private subnets, ensuring that our backend databases and internal microservices are completely isolated from the public internet. The integration of Security Groups (stateful) at the instance level and Network ACLs (stateless) at the subnet level provides excellent defense-in-depth. Plus, VPC Peering makes it relatively painless to connect different environments across regions.
