Zonar Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI
Is Zonar free, or does it offer a free trial?

No. According to G2 data, Zonar does not offer a free plan or free trial. Users need to purchase a paid plan to access the product. Visit the seller's official pricing page for current pricing details and plan options.

Who is Zonar pricing best suited for?

Zonar's pricing model, based on custom quotes per G2 data, is best suited for mid-market and larger fleet operators in transportation, trucking, construction, and oil and energy who need comprehensive compliance, telematics, and EVIR capabilities. G2 reviewers from mid-market transportation companies highlight strong ELD reporting, route history, and IFTA mileage tracking as high-value features for regulated fleets. Construction segment reviewers value real-time employee location tracking. Zonar's pricing structure and enterprise-oriented sales process make it less accessible for very small operators with limited budgets or minimal compliance requirements, as G2 reviews from small businesses show more mixed satisfaction and higher churn toward alternatives like Samsara.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Zonar?

Zonar offers no free tier or publicly listed pricing tiers. According to G2's pricing data for Zonar, the pricing of Zonar is structured around custom enterprise quotes, meaning prospective buyers must engage Zonar's sales team directly to obtain pricing. There is no self-serve entry-level plan or free trial referenced in G2 data. All access to Zonar's telematics, EVIR, AI dashcams, ELD compliance tools, and fleet health features is gated behind a negotiated contract. G2 reviewers note that certain features, such as adding new drivers, required calling support rather than self-service configuration, suggesting feature access may also be governed by contract scope.

Is Zonar considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviews of Zonar present a mixed value picture. Satisfied users in transportation and construction praise real-time tracking, EVIR, ELD compliance, and reporting automation as genuinely useful operational tools. However, multiple G2 reviewers cite slow platform performance, hardware replacement delays, and limited camera access as recurring frustrations that undercut the value proposition. Two reviewers explicitly switched to Samsara, citing malfunctions, poor service, and pricing concerns. Zonar's pricing is custom-quoted, meaning value depends heavily on negotiated contract terms. For organizations prioritizing fleet safety compliance and telematics depth, Zonar can deliver ROI, but G2 data suggests smaller operators with tighter budgets may find the cost-to-reliability ratio difficult to justify.

What do you like best about Zonar?

I really like Zonar's customer service; they're always there when I need them, which is crucial. Their equipment is reliable, and I can track where my buses are, including their speed and idling times, which helps manage costs. The pre-trip and post-trip inspections through the EVIR system have been really beneficial in keeping our buses operational. I also appreciate the GPS and dashboard features, which make it easy to manage routing and track buses. The integration of equipment and routing is vital for me, and Zonar's system is cost-effective and dependable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zonar?

We've had some challenges uploading and getting started with the Bus Suite. However, the customer service has been there for us. The whole team seems to be on board as far as getting us moving in the right direction. It's important that when we need answers, we get them now, not having to call in the morning and wait all day for a response, which has happened with other companies but not with Zonar. What do you like best about Zonar?

My experience managing operations, coordinating field teams, tracking equipment maintenance, and improving processes makes me excited about the opportunity to contribute to a company whose technology helps organizations operate more safely and efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zonar?

Based on the research I’ve done, I genuinely haven’t come across anything I would say I dislike about Zonar. Like any company, there are always opportunities to improve—especially in a fast-paced technology environment—but I view those as challenges to take on rather than negatives.

What I do appreciate is that Zonar keeps innovating and evolving to meet customer needs. I enjoy working in environments where processes, technology, and expectations are continually improving, because that creates real opportunities to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution.

Rather than focusing on what I might dislike, I’m more interested in understanding the company’s current priorities and where I can add value to help the team succeed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
