## zCompute Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Cloud Computing with Fully Managed OpEx Model

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenneth d. | Solutions Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about zCompute?**

zCompute offers on-demand compute instances using a pure OpEx model. One of its main strengths is the fully managed environment, which relieves customers of the need to handle infrastructure provisioning, patching, upgrades, and hardware lifecycle management. Another strength of Zadara is not having data transfer charges.

**What do you dislike about zCompute?**

I am looking forward to having an out-of-the-box integration with third-party data protection solutions.

**What problems is zCompute solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of our primary use cases for Zadara is utilizing it as a Disaster Recovery Site. This approach addresses several challenges, such as the high capital expenditures typically required, the complexity involved in managing and maintaining infrastructure, and the need for scalability. With Zadara, many of these issues are resolved thanks to its pure OpEx model, fully managed environment, and highly scalable infrastructure.

  ### 2. Flexible, User-Friendly Cloud Platform with Predictable Pricing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony E. | Regional Sales Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about zCompute?**

Zadara zCompute provides a flexible and user-friendly cloud-style compute platform that operates seamlessly across on-premises, edge, and cloud environments. This versatility is one of the aspects I appreciate most. The interface, which resembles AWS, makes it easy to get started without facing a steep learning curve. I also value the predictable OpEx pricing, as it eliminates unexpected fees and stands out from traditional cloud models. zCompute is particularly effective for hybrid environments that require both cloud scalability and the ability to maintain control and data residency. In summary, zCompute offers reliable scalability, transparent costs, and a flexible architecture that adapts well to a variety of deployment requirements.

**What do you dislike about zCompute?**

There are not many drawbacks, but a few aspects are worth mentioning. Availability can differ depending on your region, which means you might have fewer location choices based on where you are. These issues are not deal-breakers, but they are important to be aware of.

**What problems is zCompute solving and how is that benefiting you?**

zCompute addresses several key challenges I face. One of the most significant is the need for cloud-style computing without being tied to a single major cloud provider. With zCompute, I have the flexibility to run workloads on-premises, at the edge, or in the cloud, all while maintaining a consistent experience across environments. This eliminates the hassle of managing multiple platforms and tools.

Another important issue it tackles is the unpredictability of costs. Traditional cloud services often come with hidden fees or unexpected charges, but zCompute’s predictable, OpEx-based pricing structure makes budgeting much more straightforward. This reliability gives me better control over expenses and reduces the risk of financial surprises.

Scalability is also made easier with zCompute, as I can quickly adjust resources up or down without the need to purchase or maintain additional hardware. This not only saves time and reduces operational stress but also allows me to concentrate more on my workloads rather than the underlying infrastructure.

In summary, zCompute provides me with flexible deployment options, clearer cost management, and seamless scalability, all without the complexity and vendor lock-in associated with large hyperscalers.

  ### 3. Empowering Cloud Sovereignty with Full Control—No Downsides

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arthur D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about zCompute?**

Zadara zCompute's allowed to establish cloud sovereignty for us as MSP and to our customers. By allowing MSPs to deploy an AWS-compatible cloud platform in their own data centers (or their customers' sites), Zadara ensures the MSP or the customer retains full control over the physical location of data, network architecture, and pricing strategy

**What do you dislike about zCompute?**

There is no downside of using zCompute that I found.

**What problems is zCompute solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Challenge of Lost Data Sovereignty & Compliance.
zCompute allows you to deploy a fully managed, AWS-compatible cloud platform in your own local data center, colocation facility, or a client's specific site (at the edge). This ensures complete data residency, meaning the data is subject only to local jurisdiction and legal frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, or national data laws).
That allowed us to provide modern services to highly regulated customers who want to leverage the flexibility and ease of use of cloud solutions, while complying with a ban on using external public clouds.

  ### 4. Zadara Delivers Multi Tenancy Private Cloud Power with no Egress costs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon A. | Solutions Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about zCompute?**

In a world where Public Clouds are proving that Data Security/Availability/Cost might be a real problem for organizations, Zadara plays a meaningful alternative to have the Public Cloud experience (AWS) in Private Cloud (MSP provided) with a simple cost method that take out the "Egress Toll"! Adding to that all recent AI and Containers built-in capabilities are turning Private Cloud solution to be by far a more compelling offer to customers and helping customers to ease their journey back from Public to Hybrid/Private Cloud model. Well done Zadara

**What do you dislike about zCompute?**

Though Zadara already has it own B2OS (Backup to Object Storage which backs up zCompute instances/VMs into Zadara S3 buckets with mutability), I will be happy to see upcoming OOTB integration with 3 party backup vendors.

**What problems is zCompute solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provisioning Simplicity, 24X7 monitoring, Snapshot protection, OS License activation, Monthly price

  ### 5. Flexible Virtualization and Seamless Deployment Across Any Location

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

Ease of use and integration. GPU power for AI projects

**What do you dislike about zCompute?**

Complexity when calculating costs

**What problems is zCompute solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The calculation and monitoring of costs in real-time would help optimize the use of resources. There is no visibility of service availability; it would be interesting to have this information.

  ### 7. Consistent Performance and Predictable Costs in Managed Cloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sócrates B. | Diretor de Tecnologia da Informação, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about zCompute?**

The fully managed cloud computing model, with a focus on cost predictability and consistent performance, helps me in the private cloud strategy. It also gives me the possibility to set up and operate critical workloads with low latency, dedicated isolation, and support with a predictable opex cost.

**What do you dislike about zCompute?**

For now, part of the interface is less intuitive than major clouds.

**What problems is zCompute solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is helping me solve capacity limitation problems, giving me short-term expansion and opex predictability.

  ### 8. Effortless Setup and Intuitive Design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars
