"Evaluate candidates at scale so that we can focus our human effort on the best matches"
What do you like best about Woven?

There are quite a few things that I like

- White glove setup experience - Wes, Ryan, and Shayna understood our needs and setup a customized assessment template for us. They suggested assessments based on our needs and we only had to select the ones we liked the most.

- Very fast response times - The assessments are graded within a day. Shayna and team are also very quick to respond to our questions / requests. They setup a dedicated Slack channel for us.

- The team is honest and open to feedback - If we raise issues with the assessments or a particular candidate's score, Wes and team are extremely supportive. They re-grade, share their perspective and understand ours. This has happened only once but it was a great experience for us.

- I have found the exercises to be of excellent quality. The team also has good benchmarks for acceptable scores and time limits.

- I especially like the human grading which allows for nuanced and open-ended exercises rather than just a right or wrong.

- I also like the breadth of exercises that are available to choose from - coding, architecture, writing, troubleshooting, etc.

- The platform is extremely simple to use. We were up and running in just a few hours.

- Shayna also very helpfully setup time to train our recruiters on how to manage candidates and interviews.

- Pricing is also favorable. They charge by the hires not the assessments. Given this, we can turbo charge our recruiting efforts by evaluating a lot of candidates through their platform. This allows us to consider a wider set of candidates than if the assessment was all human. In a way this is even better than automated platforms because in those a human (likely a dev team member) still needs to review the submissions. Woven does all this for us and frees up the dev team to focus on candidates who are most likely to be successful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

I would like to see a wider set of exercises to choose from. Woven has many customers and sometimes candidates have already taken one or more of the exercises with another customer. Woven does have a good formula to weight the overall scores based on how long ago the candidate has taken the same exercise. However, the less this happens the better.
