## About Workspace Audit
Workspace Audit is the essential tool for Google Workspace™ administrators to find and fix security gaps before they become breaches. While Google Workspace™ is secure by design, misconfigurations are the #1 cause of data exposure. Our automated scanner cuts through the noise of the Google Admin Console™ to give you a clear, actionable view of your security posture. Key Features: 🛡️ Comprehensive Security Scan: Automatically analyze your environment against 100+ best-practice security settings. Get an instant "Compliance Score" and identify critical risks in Gmail™, Google Drive™, Google Calendar™, Google Meet™, and more. 🕵️ Detect Shadow IT: Our Third-Party App Audit scans every user to uncover risky applications that have full access to your corporate data. Identify which users granted access and revoke risky apps immediately. 📂 Shared Drive™ & Group Audits: - Find "Orphaned" Shared Drives™ (drives with zero managers) that no one controls. - Identify Google Groups™ accidentally set to "Public on the Internet" or allowing external members. - Locate external sharing risks where files in Google Drive™ are accessible to personal Gmail™ accounts. 👤 User & Admin Security: - Spot "Zombie Accounts" (users inactive for \>90 days) to save on license costs and reduce attack surface. - Audit Admin Roles to find custom roles with dangerous over-privileged access. - Ensure all Super Admins have 2-Step Verification (2SV) enforced. ⏳ Security Timeline: Security isn't a one-time task. We track your configuration daily. Our Timeline view shows you exactly when a setting was changed or if a security regression occurred (e.g., MFA was accidentally turned off). 📄 Audit-Ready Reporting: Export detailed PDF and CSV reports for compliance audits, management reviews, or remediation tracking. Why Workspace Security Audit? - Strictly Read-Only: We only request readonly scopes. We analyze your settings metadata to find risks, but we cannot read your emails, access your file contents in Google Drive™, or modify your data. - Actionable Advice: We don't just show you the problem; we give you a direct "Fix It" link that takes you to the exact page in your Google Admin Console™ to resolve the issue. - Free Tier Available: Get a free "Core 10" health check to see your most critical vulnerabilities instantly.

## Workspace Audit Reviews
 ### 1. Perfect for non-Google Admin Experts!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stuart R. | Digital Learning Consultant & Trainer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

For those of us who are not Google Admin experts, Workspace Audit is a great tool for monitoring your Google Workspace domain settings and policies. The UI is easy to navigate and understand and it clearly identifies risk through a RAG system so you know what to prioritise and what you need to do to address them.

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

The dashboard can be a bit overwhelming at times, especially if you have a lot of security issues. It would also be great if there were longer trial periods or a greater selection of pricing tiers so that schools - on small budgets - could make use of this great tool.

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is the perfect tool for all Google Admins. There are so many policies/settings that need reviewing and changing, Workspace Audit does this automatically thus saving time and energy. It helps Google Admins prioritise their work and ultimately ensures your Google Workspace domain is always safe and secure.

 ### 2. Intuitive Design and Seamless Integration for Enhanced Security

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

I was very drawn to its very clean and open UI/UX design, which allowed me to see my most critical issues at the forefront all the time. I never lost view of things that needed my attention, which then allowed me to start drilling down from the top side and start prioritizing some of the changes I would have to make. Everything was done in very clear language, and the use of the color palette choices meant that critical issues really stood out. Anything less critical was still visible, but there was a prioritization, allowing me to focus on points that needed attention the most. It was also easy to navigate between different categories with the left nav view and tool tree on the left hand side, making it very easy to focus on a particular section. I appreciated its ease of use, clarity, and backing with framework references for security choices. The live data feedback in the risk centers was great for seeing dynamic changes or effects made by users, allowing me to act much quicker. The initial setup was also very simple, as it integrates seamlessly with my Google enviroments data

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

I wouldn't say that anything did not work for me. I took the trial, which ended up being an extended trial. It was probably at an earlier iteration of the actual application. I know that there have been improvements since that time. Because I took it up as a trial, there were some elements missing in the upgraded pro license for the seven days that I had it. I wasn't able to fully evaluate the risk centers, and I couldn't assess it against my own environment to understand the data a lot more cleanly. But I wouldn't say there was an issue with the product.

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workspace Audit provides a real-time view of security holes in default configuration states, helping us focus on critical issues and preventing incidents. It allowed for a better configuration management viewpoint, saving headaches and prioritizing necessary changes.

 ### 3. Essential for Securing Google Workspace Environments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

I love how Workspace Audit goes deep into reporting, especially when it comes to Google Workspace apps and extensions. It provides a really granular view of our environment that most tools just gloss over. This depth helps take the guesswork out of security by showing exactly which apps have risky permissions and what extensions are being used, making it easy to shut down vulnerable apps before they become a problem. Additionally, I like how easy the initial setup was; it just required connecting with a Google Workspace service account. The customer support team is awesome too; they listen to feedback and have created a really strong community around their product.

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

Honestly, there isn't much that doesn't work well and if there is something I think could be changed the team is more than helpful when it comes to suggesting changes or new features.

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workspace Audit solves security blind spots by revealing third-party app and extension risks, transforming guesswork into actionable insights. It enhances our Google Workspace security, managing app permissions and proactively closing vulnerabilities.

 ### 4. Crystal Clear Insights for Cybersecurity in Schools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco Q. | Subdirector, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

I love how Workspace Audit makes everything so clear and prioritized, telling you which settings aren't in the recommended manner and suggesting changes. It's easy to follow through the tool, adjusting settings from the most to the least critical. The tool provides excellent guidance for managing school cybersecurity in the Google Workspace admin settings, giving me all the information I need, making it super easy to use and understand. I appreciate that it organizes risks by priority, and thanks to the tool, I now know what I must do, which calms me. The initial setup was trivial and super easy, and honestly, it's just perfect and great value for the money. I would certainly recommend it and would buy it again if I switched jobs.

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

I don't know. In a perfect world, the changes would be done automatically. Not sure if that's a good idea though.

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workspace Audit to manage Google Workspace admin settings. It guides me on security measures, making it easy to see where settings aren't best practices. It's easy to understand, prioritize risks, and I feel calmer knowing what must be done.

 ### 5. Efficient Security Audits with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geoffrey D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

I like Workspace Audit because it's easy to use and helps us keep our security policies in check efficiently. It's also great that we can audit our systems instantly without hiring an external company. I appreciate that we can prevent sensitive data loss with it. The team has been super reactive, answering questions and helping us set it up without any fuss. They even gave us a 1-on-1 consultation to ensure the correct settings and permissions, provided hints and tips, and adapted the tool based on our feedback. The setup was very easy, as they guided us through the entire process.

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

When you first do an audit, there are often lots of scary scores and terms. Seeing 32 non-compliant issues can make you panic. It would be good to have a warning or some context. We made one change as per their recommendation, but that shut some of our users out of apps they needed.

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workspace Audit to monitor our Google Admin security policies, correcting flaws efficiently. It provides instant audits, preventing sensitive data exposure and saving us from hiring external services.

 ### 6. Clear Risk Ranking and Actionable Guidance for Stronger Security Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harmeet S. | Executive Headteacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

Instantly understanding your risks and what steps are required to rectify the identified issues.

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

The trial is only 7 days, but I think it can be extended.

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workspace Audit has been really helpful to understand and identify our risks ranked by critical, high, medium and low - the guidance and links directly to the admin console make it very simple to prioritise and rectify potential security risks for your IT team. It is very easy to use and the overcompliance score is an excellent way to demonstrate external QA and is very useful for senior leadership and trust / governing board reporting.

 ### 7. Effortless Security Insights for Google Admin

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will T. | Senior IT Technician , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

I love how simple Workspace Audit is to set up and use daily. It takes just minutes to get started and link to our domain. I appreciate being able to easily and quickly look through all our Google security settings without spending hours. Running a refreshed report or searching through what I need is effortless. It's a no-brainer to choose Workspace Audit for reviewing our security settings quickly to ensure we're in the best position.

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

It can occasionally be slow to load things but that is understandable given the sheer amount of data in the Google Admin Console it has to read through.

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workspace Audit helps me quickly review and understand Google security settings without digging through countless menus, making setup and daily checks simple and fast.

 ### 8. Workspace Audit: Easy to Use, Clear Guidance, and Excellent Dev Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan K. | ICT Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

Workspace Audit was very easy to use, with clear instructions and excellent support from the devs.

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

The only downside was that the volume of data from an audit was significant and could be overwhelming to someone who is not technically savvy. That said, I would rather have a large volume of data than to have the app try to guess what I want and what I don't.

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped our school pinpoint settings within Google Workspace that we had neglected over the years. There are so many options added regularly that it was nice to know there was a tool to review it all automatically, rather than having to comb through the settings one by one.

 ### 9. Super helpful tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

- Dashboard is really clear and easy to navigate, everything’s broken down nicely
- Handy links straight into Google Admin, which saves a lot of time
- Gives practical suggestions on what to fix, not just highlighting issues
- Quick and easy to run a scan and spot potential risks
- Free trial is genuinely useful and gives you a good feel for the tool

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

- Pricing is quite high, especially if you’re working with a tight budget
- Ongoing cost might be hard to justify for some

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I recently had a free trial of Workspace Audit to scan our Google Workspace tenancy and identify potential security improvements. It was very simple to set up and run a scan of the environment, with pretty much instant results.

The tool makes it easier to see what settings need changing to become a more secure environment. With so many settings available within Google Admin, it's very easy to overlook and/or miss important configurations.

The dashboard is what makes this tool even more user-friendly. It presents findings in a clear way and categorises issues by area and severity. This made it easy to prioritise what needed attention. I also found the direct links into Google Admin particularly helpful, saving time when locating and updating specific settings.

Workspace Audit appears to be a very powerful health check tool that provides immediate clarity on where your domain stands against best practices. It highlights misconfigurations and gives actionable steps to resolve them, ultimately helping to strengthen overall security.

Not all areas of Workspace Audit are available for trial users, so I can't comment on those. But from demos I have seen of these areas, these features look like they would add even more value.

Overall, the trial experience was very positive and demonstrated real value, particularly for admins looking to improve security quickly and efficiently. However, while the tool is clearly powerful, I feel the pricing model may put it out of reach for some. In our case, current and upcoming budgets are tight. That being said, we will definitely consider this tool in future budget planning, as it adds clear value and gives greater visibility into your tenancy than Google Admin alone.

 ### 10. Quick audit of your Google Workspace security settings with actionable recommendations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Workspace Audit?**

The overview page is well-organized with quick, actionable steps. Installation took only a few minutes. The development team is responsive and knowledgeable. The app provides a broad overview of my domain settings, and I can quickly navigate to individual settings to fix the problems.

**What do you dislike about Workspace Audit?**

It can be overwhelming at first to see over 100 potential issues to fix. However, that is precisely what I want this app to do for me.

**What problems is Workspace Audit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are many settings in the Google Admin Console, making it easy to overlook important security configurations. This app provides me with a prioritized list of action steps to secure our domain, giving me the confidence that I am not missing any crucial privacy settings.
