I have been using this application for 10 years and it keeps evolving to adapt to new types of data or data analysis methods for wind resource assessment. It has advanced features for data loading from various types of loggers or measurement systems, a comprehensive tool for data cleaning (although it is still manual) and all the tools necessary to create long term time series representative of a site.
There is also a database version of the application that works with SQL databases, so you can do all your work from within the application, once your data workflow is set. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not really a big issue, but the UI is now a bit outdated when you compare to web based applications. The application would benefit from a UI refactor, a cloud/web version and better interactivity with the graphics or between the various types of graphics you can use to visualize and process data. Icing and Tower shadow graphical representations are very good to filtering part. I always like Windographer tool rather than other tool especially in this part. Turbine output estimater is very useful to a quick review about the site conditions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no point to dislike,
1. TI scaling can be add in our windographer it would be very useful for wind assessment team.
2. I would suggest in wind speed distribution analysis Weibull graph could include table view also along with histograms.
3.We could add other online data set like WRF, which is very useful in complex terrain and European data MCP analysis.
4. I would like to see in the graphical window on wind speed of area of interest using cursor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really really dislike in manual flagging when time scale scrollbar (after time scaling) comes to the right end, although there more data in front, so I can use only right arrow to go right. Second issue is regarding selection of period - it would be great if the selection would not evanish when the pointer goes a bit of series' graph sub-window. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Data handling is very easy in windographer. Most of the data types are automatically identified by the software. So this will save huge amount of time by reducing manual adjustments. Data visualization improved a lot in the last couple of updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be great if windgrapher can come with some amount of AI in the new era of data analysis. So by providing suggestion for flagging of the false data will improve data cleaning and analysis speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
