It supports many devices and hence is deployed by many companies for their developments. **What do you dislike about Wind River VxWorks?** Higher bug rate than can cause severe risk. Support requests made can take time as long as it can for the feedback. A cross development platform to be implemented in order to run the Wind River VxWorks, since it’s a self-hosting application. **Recommendations to others considering Wind River VxWorks:** It can solve almost all the requirements but lacks in bug fixing and post implementation support. **What problems is Wind River VxWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our IoT and ML engineers use Wind River VxWorks to solve their Embedded system problems and complex day-to-day problems. The RTOS gives you a perfect hard real time embedded system which will support you to create industrial automation applications like motor control, process control etc. **What do you dislike about Wind River VxWorks?** The pricing structure is a bit costly, and there are not many open-source materials available for learning. Also, the support team is not so helpful. **Recommendations to others considering Wind River VxWorks:** The RTOS is perfect, and you can have complete faith in it for your hard real time requirements. We found many issues with the IDE (crashes and unknown errors) **Recommendations to others considering Wind River VxWorks:** Take the training if your company is able to pay for it. Memory allocation: VxWorks offers optimum system usage and gives us more efficiency when using the power of all running devices. Down time is little to none. **What do you dislike about Wind River VxWorks?** There are several risks with VxWorks. There aren't enough debuggers which can erase or remove errors from this type of system. There is no time limit on how long the awaiting activities have to wait if they are placed on separate processors. VxWorks has under-privileged support for communication between processes. VxWorks is not self-hosting, which means that a cross-development system must be used. **What problems is Wind River VxWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use VxWorks on integrated devices. It is simple to set up and can run on multiple processors for distributed computing. VxWorks is used to monitor network and networking devices, equipment for monitoring and calculating, storage devices for servers, vehicle systems, equipment for aircraft (aeronautics and astronautics) and other consumer goods. ### 5. You don't have to wait for long. - It is very light weight and manageable therefore best for communication and networking purposes. - It is a very stable and reliable Real Time Operating System for industrial projects. **What do you dislike about Wind River VxWorks?** - There are few or no error erasers which could simply remove a bug that may occur. - The price is very high. - The support system is not very cooperative. - It does not have commercial-friendly licensing terms. **What problems is Wind River VxWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a customizable real-time operating system. VxWorks is designed for cloud applications with integrated devices on most central processing units (CPU).
