## About Web Tier
Oracle Web Tier includes components that interact with end users at the outermost tier of application grid infrastructure, typically through HTTP requests and responses.

## Web Tier Reviews
  ### 1. Oracle Web Tier- an able competitor in web and application servers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiran Ramakrishna i. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Web Tier?**

Oracle Web Tier has a robust and easy access to application servers and web host servers. The resources are tightly coupled with each other. It also provides dynamic run-time environment for running different contents. Moreover, it has a reduced operational cost in comparison to web logic and other resource servers.

**What do you dislike about Web Tier?**

Oracle web tier still has a negligible market share in the server category which is dominated by Oracle Web Logic and other server web cache providers. In my hand-on experience, we found the bounce time to be on higher side and longer lead time for deployment of node servers.

**What problems is Web Tier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Oracle web tier surely provides huge benefits in streamlining web layer management and handling multiple hosts simultaneously. The servers are purely equipped with plug and play due to which it can be commenced or stopped as and when required by the systems.

  ### 2. An Worst Experience

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mickael D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Web Tier?**

The way it integrates with my existing website is cumbersome. The interface is less user friendly making it difficult to navigate and manage my web content. Since I started using Web Tier I've noticed no improvement, in the speed and performance of my website.

**What do you dislike about Web Tier?**

The customer support team is not always responsive and ready to assist. Web Tier has obstructed my experience with web development. There are some areas where Web Tier needs to improve in terms of user friendliness and customization options.

**What problems is Web Tier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The interface feel a bit clunky and unintuitive at times, which makes navigating a bit difficult. The limited customization options restrict our ability to tailor the platform according to our business needs.

  ### 3. An Cumbersome Web Experience

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario M. | Department Head, Government Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Web Tier?**

The integration and functionality of Web Tier is hectic. It has made managing my website difficult as the interface is not user friendly making it difficult to navigate and customize my site. The obstructive range of features and tools is not well.

**What do you dislike about Web Tier?**

The support team is not prompt and less helpful, in solving any issues that arise. I have some reservations regarding the user friendliness of the interface and the limited options for customization.

**What problems is Web Tier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform feels a bit outdated. Restricts our ability to fully personalize our website according to our preferences. I find the customer support to be slow and unresponsive which make issue resolution a time consuming process.

  ### 4. Oracle Web serves as an excellent asset for any workplace

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark J. | Software Consultant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Web Tier?**

Optimal reliability with minimal security vulnerabilities.

**What do you dislike about Web Tier?**

Setting up the new node for deployment can be challenging, and making subsequent changes accurately proves to be difficult.

**What problems is Web Tier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to the implementation of the Oracle site, our resources for ordering products, checking pay stubs, submitting time cards, and reviewing service orders were scattered across different locations. Now, with this system, all these functionalities are consolidated into one platform, accessible with a single login. I appreciate the convenience of being able to access all service orders under my account from the same site. This consolidation provides me with better control over my account.

  ### 5. OHS or Web Tier is very simple web server & easy to install.

I think the simple Installation and Integration with Weblogic Server is one of the highlighted features of Oracle Web Tier. We have edited the mod_wl_ohs file for our PT and the results were outstanding.

**What do you dislike about Web Tier?**

Oracle Customer support can be improved.

**What problems is Web Tier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best use of Web Tier we have done during our PT performance as it got complicated from the LB URL and we did the manual changes in mod_wl_ohs file and we got the results that we were expecting.

**What do you dislike about Web Tier?**

Web Tier is perfect in everything, I just didn't like that sometimes there are Captchas when the user is connecting.

Ease in creating OHS Instances and managing the processes. We program in C++ and PHP for different functionalities, and it is convenient for other teams to be able to understand the same deployment processes

**What do you dislike about Web Tier?**

Look and feel the most. It feels clunky, but to be expected, and it'd be good if there was better connected SOP's when working through caching protocol.

**What problems is Web Tier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes when utilizing some of the defaults, there are failures on certain servers, i.e., windows based/internet explorer, etc. There are workarounds but you have to do a little biut more work to figure out the workaround.

**Recommendations to others considering Web Tier:**

I like how when you open the home page you have access to all the resources you need that are business related. No need to search since it is all there in front of you. I also appreciate that the different categories are user friendly and are easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Web Tier?**

Sometimes it is very slow and you need to log out and log back in order to be able to access the resource properly. Also, sometimes, if you are not on the proper Java upgrade, the website will not load properly, so you won't get the most out of the site.

**Recommendations to others considering Web Tier:**

I would recommend Firefox as your browser and make sure you have the latest Java update so that you get the most out of the site as possible.

**What problems is Web Tier solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we had the Oracle site implemented, the resources we had for ordering products, checking pay stubs, submitting a time card, and checking service orders were all located in different locations.
