What do you like best about Visix Digital Signage?

It was feature-rich, though we never dove into the more advanced features due to dedicated digital signage staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visix Digital Signage?

The UX was difficult and unintuitive. I didn't touch this product often, and every time I did, it felt like starting over. Also, the individual players were incredibly high maintenance. It felt like we had to reimage them every quarter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective and user-friendly digital signage for college environment"

What do you like best about Visix Digital Signage?

We have several Visix screens throughout our main buildings, and they are easy to customize and update. You can have different messages on different screens, using location as a strategy for your messaging. Some of our signs are silent, whereas others play audio. What do you dislike about Visix Digital Signage?

I don't dislike anything about Visix, but I would suggest having a clear protocol in place for when a sign stops functioning correctly. In my experience, they rarely glitch, but having a "broken" digital sign for even a few hours can be problematic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Visix Digital Signage solving and how is that benefiting you?

I work at a community college, and we often have the issue of students not being prepared enough for their advising appointments, especially with regards to understanding our registration system. To address this problem, we began playing video registration tutorials (with audio) on the Visix screen in the area where students wait to meet with their advisor. What do you like best about Visix Digital Signage?

What do you dislike about Visix Digital Signage?

Visix isn't as intuitive as using Instagram or other picture/video. I had a little bit of training to close the gap between what I knew (I know how to edit videos on Adobe Premiere) and how to use Visix. There are a lot of buttons to click for specific content creation (i.e. message, link, web, etc.), so knowing which one will help in posting pictures and videos. What problems is Visix Digital Signage solving and how is that benefiting you?

Visix is used to place images, gifs, and videos on the TVs around campus remotely. I just create a PDF in the correct dimensions and add it to Visix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Visix Digital Signage?

Appliance based solution, pre-packaged templates. On-going support is excellent. In our situation, they were very helpful in coming on-site multiple times to provide no only training to end users, but support of technical issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visix Digital Signage?

Cost, dependency on windows os. I would like to see more attention on cloud solutions. I find the interface far too complex and poorly designed. There are too many screens- would prefer a more stepped through process. One major issue is that the devices need to see the outside internet to work, in some environments, this is not easy. You may be using an older product if you aren't able to group and move playlists easily. Both that and the live stream issue you mentioned have been addressed in later releases.

What do you like best about Visix Digital Signage?

What do you dislike about Visix Digital Signage?

This has to be the clunkiest content management system on the market. Files uploaded to this system must all be renamed as it it lacks the ability to read any metadata, to include file names. The system does not work on Mac. You have to install Windows VM Ware for it to function. The entire process of adding content is tedious and terribly time consuming. It took me hours to upload 20 images to this system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We agree that our old UX needed a lot of work. That's why we built a new product from the ground up. Our CMS has a completely new interface, uploads media faster, and lets you assign meta data for easy categorization and searches.
