## About ViewVC
ViewVC is a browser interface for CVS and Subversion version control repositories. It generates templatized HTML to present navigable directory, revision, and change log listings. It can display specific versions of files as well as diffs between those versions. Basically, ViewVC provides the bulk of the report-like functionality you expect out of your version control tool, but much more prettily than the average textual command-line program output.

**What do you like best about ViewVC?**

1. The best part about ViewVC is that we do not need to install any application on the system.
2. Just browser based application. which reduces the dependency.
3. Decentralized

**What do you dislike about ViewVC?**

There is nothing much to dislike about this application. But I have a few suggestions for ViewVC:
1. The commit stages are not as robust as it supposes to be with any versioning tool.
2. No much community support.

**What problems is ViewVC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am working with a team where a lot many people are contributing to the development, so apart from codebase, we need to keep track of the versioning of different documents like release notes. features detail, user manual etc. So all such stuff is being catered using ViewVC with no turnaround. So this after-Development effect is quite faster in terms.
