You have existing LLM-based products in production, but your tooling is limited: Buy Vellum (you likely need to improve the rate of development for the future - Vellum gets you there faster). 4. With the new SDK, that's solved for the most part. There may be some very advanced requirements that aren't supported by the Vellum tooling, but there is likely some 'today' workarounds and 'tomorrow' fully baked solves. **What problems is Vellum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prompt/RAG development, evaluation, and production monitoring. ### 3. It's just a trade off of tools. There are some dedicated eval products in the market that optimize solely for the eval portion. Vellum's eval suite lags a bit behind market offerings but Vellum's strength is the integration of evals and coupling them with workflows. For other products, you need to send their data over. **What problems is Vellum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vellum helps our AI team gets pipelines out much master. Instead of having to worry about non-differentiated work like integrating the latest models as code. All we have to do is change things in the UI and Vellum handles all that behind the scenes. It didn’t just streamline our workflow, it transformed how our team collaborates and builds with AI. Before Vellum, prompt engineering slowed us down and caused misalignment. Now, dev and management can work in parallel, saving us weeks of development time. Management can even test and tweak prompts themselves, making everything smoother. Ease of Implementation & Integration: Getting started with Vellum was surprisingly smooth. We were able to plug it into our app without heavy lifting, and the platform fits nicely into our existing stack. Time Savings & Frequency of Use: Prompt engineering used to be a major bottleneck. Now, both dev and management can work in parallel, which has saved us weeks of development time. We use Vellum daily—it’s become an essential part of our workflow. Customer Support: The whole Vellum team has been amazing, super responsive, helpful, and clearly invested in making the product better. I know Vellum is still early-stage, and it's clear the team is moving fast and listening to users. That said, the UX around workflows could definitely be more intuitive. I’m confident they’ll get there soon, and when they do, it’ll take the product to a whole new level. **What problems is Vellum solving and how is that benefiting you?** First, it’s eliminated the bottleneck we had around prompt engineering. Before, everything had to go through our dev team, which slowed things down and created misalignment. Now, non-technical team members can test and iterate on prompts themselves, which speeds up development and improves collaboration. Second, it's helped us bring AI features—like a smart chatbot—into our product much faster than we thought possible. Vellum’s workflows and function calling made it easy to build and maintain complex interactions without a ton of custom code. It gives us a centralized way to quickly test and try different prompts and models and see what impact it would have and what we feel comfortable deploying for our customers. The alternatives were too code heavy, this on the other-hand shortens the loop where anyone with an idea can test and then quickly move to production. **What do you dislike about Vellum?** We have not been able to fully leverage their eval solution. **What problems is Vellum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Developing AI workflows, specifically RAG workflows. Comparing different prompts and models was incredibly tedious before we found Vellum, which lets us do it side by side, track changes, automate our evaluations (to proactively catch regressions).. And the workflows feature is incredible. Things that would've taken days or weeks now take minutes or hours and even non-technical people on our team can easily do work that otherwise would've consumed our engineers' time. Seriously fantastic product and it's evolving quickly. **What do you dislike about Vellum?** The only downside is also a positive... some advanced flows are difficult to implement. On the bright side, the product quirks aren't that hard to work around, especially once you get the hang of them. Their team is also super quick to answer questions and guide us through implementation / prompting. They're equally quick at addressing & implementing most UI/UX/feature suggestions. Overall, after evaluating several similar platforms, I'd much rather some flows be tricky but still possible to build, rather than impossible altogether. Vellum is the product to use if you want to stay ahead of competition. **What problems is Vellum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helps our entire team iterate faster on AI product development, and unlocks abilities that previously only our engineers could do. ### 9. You often find that any minor error in your novel will require you to go to a formatter and repay to have your book fixed. To have gorgeous books inside and out without constantly having to pay 'editing' fees, Vellum is essential. **What do you dislike about Vellum?** I really wish there was a version for PC as you find that it is impossible to use the mac in cloud without extreme stress. Fortunately, i have the user interface needed, but for some authors that wish they could use vellum, they simply cannot. **What problems is Vellum solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use vellum to format my own books and that of my author that I work for. Without it, i would have to wait a long time for someone to many edits for something minor, update the copyright, do special editions and the like. Having vellum ensures that one time fee is all you ever need to spend, other than your time, to ensure you always have the quality you need. ### 10. The platform immediately allows you to experiment with different models and explore the impact on performance. Support is unbelievable: the team is incredibly customer-centric and is invested in your success. My team went from using basic prompting to running incredibly complex and robust workflows in a matter of days. Getting set up takes less than a day and you see value immediately: it is now the most used tool in our stack and I personally login every single day. Do yourself a favor install their package and integrate (it literally takes less than 5 min) you won't regret it. **What do you dislike about Vellum?** I wish I had something to add here. Everything we haven't liked so far has been fixed or added to their product roadmap. The CTO and CPO will often deploy code same day to improve the customer experience. **What problems is Vellum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vellum solves several key problems for us: 1. It gives us real visibility into what we're generating for our customers (we do high-volume generation and it's a game-changer). 2. It gives us the flexibility to "try-before-we-buy" when it comes to deploying new versions of our prompts saving us time and money in the process. 3. It allows us to run complex semantic search workflows with literally no overhead. 4. They allow us to map our actual data with the generated content. 5. The team is a team of absolute killers/experts and are never shy away from helping us/guiding us on our journey: they are true partners and are an exemplary embodiment of customer-centricity. ### 12.
