"This is the single technology that keeps our website up"
What do you like best about Varnish Cache?

The amount of connections this will handle is massive. The configuration allows you to apply extremely granular control over when to use what backend, how long to cache something, and any number of routing considerations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Varnish Cache?

The configuration allows complete customization, with that it is also easy to shoot yourself in the foot. But running on Linux, most of us are accustomed to various foot-guns anyway, so I would say it's no different than anything else really. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Speed Kit adds a Service Worker to your website. The Service Worker then reroutes all requests from your backend to a fast cache which is synchronized with your website. Speed Kit accelerates your website without any changes to the backend servers. Instead of re-engineering your server, network, and frontend performance, Speed Kit hooks into the traffic and accelerates it from the user side. Think of Speed Kit as the layer on top of your shop system, CDNs, and load balancers that guarantees the best possible performance. With its research-backed caching technology for dynamic data (e.g. for search and personalization), Speed Kit delivers your pages extremely fast. We take care of keeping content in-sync and distributing it to many edge locations. From low-level details such as network protocols to high-level concerns like tailored images, Speed Kit handles everything automatically. Since it is built on a novel browser technology called Service Workers, Speed Kit can be added by including 2 JavaScripts. This not only ensures a fast implementation, but also allows us to optimize the user experience in the frontend (e.g. through browser caching). As the only performance tool in the market, you can prove the speed uplift of Speed Kit through scientifically clean A/B-tests.
