While the lineage and RCA capabilities are still being developed and are not perfect, they are still extremely useful at helping identify data quality issues. The Validio team is extremely hard-working and intelligent, which is reflected in their customer success teams' abilities to tailor examples to specific use-cases. We would not be nearly as far along in our data quality initiative without the support of the team. The user interface is fairly easy to use -- it takes seconds to get a validator set up and running. Validio integrates with Slack and other downstream BI tools to give a holistic view of where poor data quality may impact the business. **What do you dislike about Validio?** The complexity of implementation is highly correlated with the complexity of the business's data, which can make it challenging to implement effectively for those specific use cases. The user interface can be unwieldy when making more complicated validators. It could benefit from tooltips and inline documentation. **What problems is Validio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Validio helps our business users validate the data quality of our investment positions. Building trust in this data is key as we have had persistent data quality issues from our providers in the past, and Validio helps us do that. Catalogue and Lineage to be able to see where the data comes from for our more important reports. Data quality & Obeservability where we can do in-depth monitoring to catch any inconsistencies, deviations or other errors in the data we've identified as important. I was also impressed by the system performance. We have quite large data sets. This saves us a ton of time. - The platform is also really easy to set up and maintain over time. It just loads in months of data in a few seconds and then continues to learn as more data comes in over time. - Also really liked that we could deploy securely (VPC) with no data leaving our environments **What do you dislike about Validio?** Not really much to say here – really liked the platform! **What problems is Validio solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used Validio for multiple purposes. Both for data discovery and governance and to detect data quality issues in our data. It is incredibly good at discovering relevant data and tell us which ones are being used by other stakeholders within the organization. It also automates the detection of relevant data quality issues within our data that would otherwise need thourough investigation and manual rule-writing to detect. Having that level of detection continuously running is incredibly valuable. ### 11. We were able to go from the POV stage to immediate value in our business within a day. Additionally, the very deep level at which it tracks data trends and anomalies is more robust than other comparable tools we saw on the market. The fact that it effectively accounts for time series trends was key for our business. Finally, the team is a pleasure to work with. They are extremely responsive to questions and feedback, and they are happy to take our input and suggestions when considering what to put on the roadmap. **What do you dislike about Validio?** They are slightly newer than some more established players on the market, so they have slightly less feature coverage in some areas. But these areas are more collateral and aren't as important to our business. **What problems is Validio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Validio helps us, in an automated, low effort way, monitor all the data that is coming to us. However, it was very cumbersome. It was very slow, took a lot of time, and you had to have a lot of assumptions about the data to be able to say how many rows you expect, columns you expect, categories, etc. Not only is generating these assumptions difficult when you are only starting with sample data, but getting to the know the data well enough to have these kind of assumptions also takes a lot of time. This really made it difficult for our engineers to set up good validation rules. So a lot of the time, our pipelines would fail because we were setting up too stringent rules. Or on the other hand, we weren't setting up stringent enough rules and then we weren't catching the problems early enough. With Validio, we have none of that anymore. It just works! **What do you dislike about Validio?** I don't think I have anything to say here! The Validio team is extremely responsive and timely, and very open to feedback and feature requests. **What problems is Validio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Validio has freed us from doing cumbersome, time consuming tasks, and dealing with erroneous errors arising from poor validation setup. Validio stood out as a clear upgrade by learning from the underlying data at a very deep level, taking into account things like seasonality, to save precious engineering time. The speed with which Validio can process our data and deliver results is tremendous. It can do 100s of millions of records a minute. For a company with our scale and SLAs it’s hugely valuable. The sooner we know there’s an issue with our data the better. One thing that impresses me with Validio is the ease of use to set it up. We’re using the API to connect, set up a standard of testing and build it into the core of our products. Validio has really good configurality. We're using the API and it's really easy for our product team to connect that in some standardized checks and really build that into the core of our product Validio produced really good results in detecting anomalies, both in overall drift, and drift by segments. Validio can automatically look at this data, account for seasonality, learn trends, and not bug us with a lot of noise or issues related to typically seasonality problems The partnership is very strong and it's been a great process, and they've been great collaborators **What do you dislike about Validio?** Not much to mention. The team has been very receptive to our needs by incorporating our early feedback into their roadmap. These features have now been delivered to allow us to enable Validio more systemically within our product. On the rare occasion we've encountered a minor defect the Validio team have been quick to respond and address the issue to our satisfaction. **What problems is Validio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Validio helps us, in an automated, low effort way, monitor the data flowing through our platform. This saves us a lot of time and is both easier and more scalable. Our prior approach was difficult to scale. Validio has changed that With Validio deeply integrated into our product, it's now a hands-off process and we actually don't have to spend any engineering resources to incrementally add a new customer to our platform. The anomaly detection in combination with the Slack alerts is nice. We have been using for market KPI monitoring, the tool also allows monitoring on multi-dimensions combined. I also like that the validators (monitors) I set up are trained instantly on our historical data. This makes any tweaking needed much quicker. **What do you dislike about Validio?** Validio is comparably new, there has been still a lot of incoming updates.
