  ### 2. Comprehensive HRMS for End-to-End Employee Lifecycle Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiv S. | Associate - Business Strategy and Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

Darwinbox is an excellent all-in-one HRMS that helped me manage the entire employee lifecycle seamlessly. I found it particularly useful for onboarding, performance management, time and attendance tracking, and payroll processing. The platform made it easier to centralize employee data, automate HR workflows, and ensure transparency across processes. I appreciated how it reduced manual work and improved accuracy in payroll and performance evaluations. I was using this software on a regular basis, and I found it very useful

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

While Darwinbox is robust, it can sometimes feel slightly complex to navigate, especially when dealing with advanced features. Certain modules could be more intuitive and user-friendly, as new users may require extra time to adapt. Additionally, occasional lag in system responsiveness was noticeable during peak usage.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Darwin is solving the problem of not having a unified HRMS in the company. Earlier, most HR processes were manual and scattered, which led to inefficiencies and errors. With Darwin, all employee lifecycle functions—onboarding, performance management, time and attendance tracking, and payroll, are integrated into one platform.

The biggest benefit for me has been the automation and centralization of HR tasks. It has reduced manual work, improved accuracy in payroll and attendance, and made performance management more transparent. Overall, it has streamlined processes, saved time, and enhanced both employee and HR team efficiency.

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

Spreadsheet tech hasn't really changed since 1979 when VisiCalc was introduced with support for formulae in spreadshset cells. V7 has changed that - having an LLM running inside each cell and allowing cells to contain rich content like handwritten documents or scanned paperwork is a huge game changer!

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

I only dislike that they didn't invent this 20 years ago

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

Web-based annotation tools including model-assisted polygon annotation are among the best I have tried. I appreciate that they provide the option of hosting models for companies getting started with this technology. Pricing seems fair for what they are providing.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

In my first week using the service I have had no problems with it. I have given them a few recommendations that might streamline the navigation of datasets, and that feedback was welcome and encouraged.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speeding up polygon annotations reduces the cost of tuning new image analysis models. Hosting the models on their website gives the option of keeping it there at a known cost or using it as a proof of concept stage.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony K. | Data Annotator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

What I appreciate most about using V7 Darwin's diverse variety of annotation tools is it is fast, simple, and functional. The experience has been smooth and hassle-free; the subtract and merge tools are beneficial for pixel-perfect labeling, which is a tremendous advantage and something I've never seen before. It also offers an easy-to-navigate user interface. V7's navigation is a joy to work with. Work is made easier and faster to complete, which increases production. Compared to other platforms, the V7 tools are excellent and easy to use. To make things even easier, the features are clearly labeled. In terms of cutting down on work time, they have the easiest shortcuts. It makes tagging and annotating a lot faster and makes me more efficient.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

The platform works without trouble, the work is quickly saved, and it is easy to recover it. As a result, there is not much lag or freezing of the platform during use.

  ### 14. Work at Ease

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Desmond A. | Data Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

The platform's User Interface is one of my favorite aspects of this annotation tool. Because everything you need to work with is simply accessible and the hotkeys are so nicely implemented, you'll be able to work more quickly. The icons used to symbolize each tool are clear and understandable, making it simple for users to navigate between them. When used properly, tools like polygon and polyline simplify image annotations while also improving accuracy.
I particularly like the fact that you can view the datasets that are available to you while working, so you can also choose to hide that feature so that you can focus on the tasks at hand.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

V7's occasional tendency to lag while working with large datasets increases the amount of time you spend on the assignment.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The brush and eraser capabilities in v7 make modifying polygon annotations so much easier than they are in other annotation platforms. Additionally, the edit and polygon tools make it easy for me to alter my polygons.

  ### 15. GREAT TOOLS AND USER FRIENDLY INTERFACE

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayes-Paschal B. | Data Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

Personally, I have learned a lot using V7 Darwin and we have benefitted as a company from its Annotation Tools and Interface. The UI is straightforward and the tools are clearly laid out, making the platform less difficult to understand compared to others. With just a few hours of exploration, a beginner can get used to the tools and shortcuts. At least that's how it was for me. We were tasked with labeling a very demanding project a while ago and it was thanks to Darwin's precise Polygon tool, merge/separation tools and visible time tracking on the interface, that we were able to deliver accurate-high quality labels in good time. Darwin is definitely my first choice if 'Speed and Accuracy' are the main targets.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

Nothing bad if I'm being honest. If you could pitch in an image searching pane for users so we choose the asset we want to work on? V7 is my go-to!

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Safety netting. With the ease of V7 as a user, I am more confident in how I annotate because my dots connect and my labels come out as they should. And fast!

  ### 16. Very Practical and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip A. | Data Labeling Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

I switched from Scale AI to V7 and I have been impressed with the UI.
The colorful/simple UI makes it nice to work with. The annotated dataset has a colorful view especially when you turn on the sub-annotation feature.
With video annotation, the interpolate feature is very useful, especially in the case of annotating moving vehicles, we find it makes video annotation less time-consuming.
The polygon tool with the "merge" and "subtract" feature helps to prevent labeled datasets from overlapping. In the case of labeling human beings, you can merge the same parts of a human being as a single entity when it is being occluded by an object.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

V7 Darwin is a great platform with first-class tools. I would definitely recommend it to annotators everywhere. I do not dislike anything

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives the annotator a wide variety of tools to handle any form of AI/ML labeling project. The platform provides auto annotations which save time for us and make for a pleasant work experience.

  ### 17. Excelllent v7 Academy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bright M. | Training Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

QA Workflow
The ability to create different QA workflows is a feature that has helped our team a lot. We can have different levels of QA review of the same task before client delivery, this goes a long way to ensure our work is of the good quality.

Support
One of the best customer service support teams out there. They reach out and attend to issues being faced promptly, fix bugs, and are always open for feedback. Some features our team had requested were implemented, how cool is that?
The V7 Support team has been very helpful - from onboarding to data management.

Auto Annotate
V7’s auto annotate feature cannot be ruled out. It is very responsive and accurate and such has reduced the amount of time we use during annotation. One can great multiple polygons of a complex object in seconds as compared to the normal way of annotating.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

So far so good. Nothing to dislike, except the updates that makes the platform lag.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Training Lead, the convenience and ease of the platform makes the onboarding process for all annotators fast and easy!

  ### 18. Big Time Saver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon I. | Q, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

I love their UI. Very user friendly. Easy panning of images that helps speed up annotation. Their shortcuts aren't limited, everything you want to do has a key for it, which makes annotation easy. Most especially, I love their label count feature and the image manipulation feature! Amazing stuff. I can confidently say it is the best UI for data annotation I have ever come across.

This feature is definitely the team's favorite and something that sets V7 apart from other labeling platforms. Annotation time reduced significantly and enabled us create multiple instances of the various tools or classes by just hitting "N"

We really like the open API. We could easily export our data and create over a thousand classes via the CLI SDK. Quite impressed with it. Made my life easy for one.
Importing and exporting data in multiple formats, including Geotiff, was a nice surprise and proved quite helpful.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

Occasional platform lags and sign-outs is an annoyance but everything else on the platform is great. Also, the inabilty to get worker stats on a project in a more explicable format, even without exporting.

I'd recommend implementing Lidar Annotation Tools, though. It'd be a plus for you and your customers.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really like the QA process workflow as it allows us review annotations easier and in stages. v7 handles magnitude data which give its users an understabable view of what data one is to work on. From Admin control to Workforce Manager control Worker control, everything makes sense. The self-assigning feature is a plus for data pools

  ### 19. V7 is avery helpful data annotation tool

  ### 22. Innovative platform that is staying ahead of the game in CV

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

My company performs a lot of data labelling using multiple platforms - we choose V7 frequently for Computer Vision projects due to the ease of managing workflows and quality control stage gates, the simplicity of the UX, the auto-annotate feature - and the fact that its preferred by our annotators. They also have a fantastic and highly responsive team.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

Not much honestly. Not as strong on NLP yet (or certain data types like LIDAR) but I expect this might be a growth area for the company, and I wouldn't be surprised if they tackle these areas with the same zeal and competency should they choose to invest in them.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use V7 to produce high-quality data annotation pipelines with large data sets and large teams - the platform facilitates this activity in a way that most alternatives don't come close to, in everything from the open API, UX, data security assurance, handling large volumes etc...

  ### 23. Useful and performant software, very responsive support team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

Darwin is a great tool for annotating. We found it very easy to manage images, annotations, and annotators. The images we use in our line of work should stress-test most image-processing services, but Darwin seems to operate fast enough for our satisfaction. There are some niche tools we use that are missing in the interface, but their support team is very responsive, I felt our feature requests are heard and being worked on.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

Not a lot to be honest. If I have to write something, I guess the documentation is a bit rough on the edges.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Annotation. We have a large number of large images that need to be annotated for training/evaluation purposes, and V7 is making it possible for us to assign annotators to images, let the annotators annotate with a rich set of annotation tools, review the annotations, and export them easily and fast.

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

V7 delivers an extremely intuitive UI. The tool is very user-friendly and it doesn't take much time to get used to it. It has a shallow learning curve. Keyboard shortcuts are really helpful and they make it much easier to annotate data. We like their auto-annotation tool because it’s quite accurate and saves a lot of time.

The API support is nice as well. It allowed us to code our parsers as well as it allowed us directly upload data from the command line. We had no issues importing and exporting our data, which wasn’t always the case with other tools that we used. Great customer support, too.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

To be honest, we haven't found any major dislike although we've been using it for more than 3 months. Everything is going smoothly so far.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are annotating image and video data for defect inspection. V7 helps us do it more efficiently and with higher accuracy.

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

Multiple options to select from when exporting annotations
s3 integration was just perfect for me as i was able to break the video down into frames automatically right after after upload.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

far too often i'm been met with this problem where i have to delete and re-draw
the bounding box multiple times around the object before it gets segmented.
The error is about your system being down at the moment or that i a slow internet connection (which is not the case)

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

product detection

  ### 29. Useful tool for creating training data faster.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

Annotating for complex tasks like segmentation is much easier with the auto-annotate tool. I no longer have to select all boundary points for creating segmentation maps as the tool allows me to draw a rough bounding box, creating a map on its own that can be tweaked to meet our requirements. Just recently the team introduced the option to plug in external models to annotate data and we are very excited to explore it in the upcoming months. The interface is also very intuitive so using the tool is quite easy, especially after you learn the keyboard shortcuts.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

Nothing major with the annotation tool. While the CLI SDK is amazing for uploading data, it might be tricky for beginners. The documentation is a huge help here and is easy to follow.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

V7 is helping us build an autonomous weed detection and eradication mechanism for automation in the agricultural domain. So far, we really like that it helped us reduce the annotation time from a couple of days to hours.

  ### 30. Advanced data management and training platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

V7 has one of the best customer support teams I've ever come across. From the smooth onboarding to adding new features requested by us - they really listen to the feedback and are very responsive. The UI is very intuitive which helped us reduce the time spent on labeling. We label videos, and V7's interpolation features made it easier and faster to annotate our data. They also have an open API and allow for the import and export of data in multiple formats.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

I have been using V7 for months now in a number of projects, but I don't have any major complaints. Some minor bugs and fixes that I suggested were fixed by the team on the go.

**Recommendations to others considering V7 Darwin:**

Try it out, especially if you have to label video data. So far, it's probably one of the most advanced video labeling platforms on the market.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using V7 for keypoint skeleton annotation and it helped us speed up our labeling process. The filtering options give us a better overview of our data which makes it easier to manage complex datasets.

  ### 31. Excellent customer support and AI software platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

I hadn't used V7 or any other type of AI software program prior and I've really enjoyed using and teaching others from my team how to use V7. It's quite intuitive after a short training. The customer service is amazing with quick feedback and they even create short videos to answer questions on how to use the interface. It's been a really great experience and the V7 team has been exceptional. I really love the interpolate tool and the shortcut keys.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

That there may be features that I don't know about that might help me with labeling since the software is so robust.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using AI to help us with ultrasound imaging. The benefits are that we could create more neat and helpful tools for our industry.

  ### 32. From 4 hours to 30 minutes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

Auto Annotate is just amazing! I got to label about 10k objects for a prof of concept and was using AI Assisted labeling already, but it took 4 hours to annotate objects in one image (400+ objects per image, instance segmentation), even with AI.

Auto Annotate broke all my expectations regarding AI assisted labeling, an 8 fold speed up was beyond what I thought was possible from the point we were.

The learning curve is amazing, after you learn the keyboard shortcuts you will just fly.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

Editting objects, is a bit tricky, and the fill brush dotted mask doesn't help much to see where I want to edit.

The comment tool is a bit weird to use, but gets the job done.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Annotating instance segmentation masks for a prof of concept (time was of essence) with lota of objects per image.
We went from 4 hours per image to just 30 minutes.

  ### 33. Impeccable onboarding experience & engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin M. | Data Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

My absolute favorite part of using V7 is the expertise the team brings to the table. Folks at my organization are subject-matter experts that sometimes have computer literacy issues, and the V7 team is comprehensive and thoughtful in their user experience design.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

So far, I've not experienced any downsides. I wish there were more straightforward ways to assign or reassign things for tagging, but those are merely minor feature requests.

**Recommendations to others considering V7 Darwin:**

Go with it! Highly recommend.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're working on training an embedded computer vision system that isn't performing as effectively as we would like. V7's tool is the annotation layer for tagging objects that need to be recognized using the device's detection system.

  ### 34. Annotating for agriculture.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** José Sebastián G. | Machine Learning Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2022

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

The user interface is really intuitive, and the reviewing cycle allows management of teams in an organized manner.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

I would like that the smart annotating tool enable creating multiple polygons for one object with one run (without having to merge polygons)

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are annotating images to develop computer vision solutions in agriculture. Keeping annotators organized and supervised is the biggest benefits for our company.

  ### 35. Innovative product with first-class customer support. Invaluable for our AI-driven company.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan M. | Lead Data Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

The API is my favourite feature as it allows us to create custom wrappers and packages to optimize our annotation processes. The customer support is second-to-none with quick response times and timely bug fixes. They also regularly seek feedback and continually improve the V7 experience. The workflow management is also excellent, with plenty more features coming soon.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

Sometimes it can be hard to find relevant documentation. The Python SDK is lacking slightly but it provides plenty of examples and the open API makes up for it.

**Recommendations to others considering V7 Darwin:**

If you are considering building your own annotation platform or looking for a solution for storing image and video annotations, I would seriously recommend getting in touch with the guys at V7. I wish I had access to a product like this in many of my previous companies! It has improved the quality and integrity of our data and makes it so much simpler to attain new annotations from experts around the world.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using V7, we stored our annotations in various formats across multiple data stores. Our annotation process relied heavily on translating spreadsheets and linking up rows to external data, which led to inaccuracies and made the algorithm-development process complicated and unintuitive. Darwin provides a single-source repository in which for us to store and audit our data. We can now gather new annotations from experts in a fraction of the time it would have previously taken. Our algorithm developers now have a much flatter learning curve, with our recent hires quickly getting to grips with our data from day one.

  ### 36. Responsive team and easy to use platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea C. | Principal Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

Alberto and his team (from project managers to annotators) have been very responsive and helpful from the get-go. They were also involved with consulting with another company that is building our image capture machine/robot that would be generating the images used to train the model. The V7 platform is very intuitive, easy to use and able to handle large amount of data.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

None I could think of, we are very happy with them.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently using different developmental stages of fruit fly avatars (mirroring mutations found in cancer patients) as a read-out for drug screens. As part of our plans for scaling up, we plan to automate the whole process of 'scoring' these phenotypes that we have had to do manually. The preliminary results we have so far have been very positive and we are very excited to finish up the pilot and get the full project started.

**Reviewed by:** Simon R. | Graduate Research Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2021

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

The V7 wesbite is super sleek, intuitive, and easy to use. Within a couple of minutes you're off to the races and can annotate quickly. The team is highly responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

The payment is on both per-use basis and per-month basis. So if we do not use the product for a month, we must pay all the same. A small price to pay though as the rates are fair!

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are training a neural net to recognize bubbles on gas-evolving catalysts as they have a significant effect on the reaction speeds but have not been thoroughly investigated. With V7, we gain a convenient, centralized hub to store our data and label our images. The biggest benefit of V7 we are looking forward is having them label our images for us.

  ### 39. Great tech and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2021

The interface is easy to navigate and intuitive. Support is prompt and knowledgable. The auto-annotate tool is world-class and saves substantial time for semantic pixel labeling.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

Limited handling for video with random motion. I think you could apply some basic optical flow techniques across the whole image to provide better projection of annotations from one frame to the next.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling up labeling for datasets for an agricultural robotics application. It enables us to outsource labeling when we don't have the time to do it in house.

  ### 40. Annotation tool used in MRI's for a machine learning project

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2021

**What do you like best about V7 Darwin?**

The built-in auto annotation and the ability to train an ai to handle annotations are great advantages V7 over its competitors. We used this software with dicoms of MRIs and the software was able to create very precise polygons even with little data provided. Another great advantage from a data science point of view are the multiple exportation options.

**What do you dislike about V7 Darwin?**

Pricing listed is a bit vague and the functionality with a tablet is still a bit subpar/not thought through.

**What problems is V7 Darwin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While there are many DICOM viewers on the market, only very few can actually create and export annotations used in object detection/image segmentation tasks. Of those, I think V7 is the best solution currently commercially available.

  ### 41. Machine Learning for Biotechnology Company
