## UsableNet AQA Reviews
  ### 1. UsableNet AQA makes your site scan easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

well automated site scan (web accessibility check)

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Once the scan report is generated its needs to be reviewed by an accessibility SME.

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

It is a great tool to use in this agile software development especially for retail businesses.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main thing it will ease our site scans and generate a report. earlier we use to go for the Vendor for accessibility scan and wait for the report to fix them, and the communication used to be quite time-consuming. AQA solves this issue, now we can plan our site scans.

  ### 2. Online review platform

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2022

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

I love that UsableNet took us away from sharing website feedback via GoogleDocs. The ability to create to-do tasks and keep track of them in one software is ideal for my team and our clients.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

UsableNet is not very visual. Even when people leave tasks, it is still difficult to determine exactly what they are talking about or what needs to be done, and the interface could be more user-friendly.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am no longer a user of UsableNet, but I did use it to solve the problem of keeping track of everything that needed to be updated on a website project. It greatly increased our performance and efficiency on large website rebuilds.

  ### 3. Robust tool for large development teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2020

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

The extension is superior to most in that you can make edits to the code and retest in the same session to see how it affects the results. The online dashboard and project testing tool are like no other tool out there. The ability to test user journeys and schedule tests and the level of detail in the test is wonderful. Of course the thing that made the decision for our company was the AT Previews capability. It allows for quick checks on what a screen reader sees on the page by QA testers not proficient in testing for accessibility with screen readers.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

There is a bit of a learning curve to understand the full capability of the online platform that is required.

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

You may have to coordinate with your operations team to allow AQA access to your testing environments. We have very strict security and were able to figure out a way to allow the AQA servers access securely. Positives - very robust tool, always updating and improving features, has the keyboard and Assistive Technology previews that I did not find with any other tool. Negatives - a bit of a learning curve but they give you all the training you want on how to use the tool.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a tool that
- had reporting that was easy to understand and gives the developers enough info to remediate;
- could work for developers and QA to run tests on lower environments;
- allowing QA to test screen reader outcomes and keyboard order without being proficient with screen readers-this was my biggest concern;
- provided an overview of a page or section of the site to see that it was no regressing after our initial accessibility efforts;
- could generate reports I can show to upper management concerning the progress of accessibility.

  ### 4. Great service for auditing accessibility.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

Accessibility concerns with our consumer-facing websites.

  ### 5. Awesome way to involve engineers for ongoing Accessibility implementation and training!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel A. | Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

I love how UsableNet AQA enables engineers to bring accessibility best practices along for all their feature work and implement changes to stay compliant.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

I'd like to see it a little more integrated into our software development lifecycle. Integrating with Github or other tools could make it even more powerful.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessibility compliance. We're working on a compliance program and engineers have felt more of a sense of ownership and are able to act on opportunities for better compliance.

  ### 6. Nice tool for accessibility improvements!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jatin P. | Full Stack Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

Ease of using their UI with minimal experience.
Nice features, statistics, tests provided.
Customer support and technical team is very friendly and quick in responding.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Manual review process which is very subjective and you can not do those test yourself without having experts inhouse.

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

Go for it if you are introducing accessibility first time in your organization. Just keep in mind you have to keep them in loop if you want to go for complete (100%) accessible website or application.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increase in websites/applications accessibility index.
Increase in ease of access for all the people equally.

  ### 7. Wonderful deep tool for ADA compliance and analysis.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2020

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

The ease of use of the browser extension

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Setting up automatic flows is time consuming

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

In addition to the default tools, UsableNet does do paid screenreader audits of sites, and the results of these are well worth their cost.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UseableNet AQA is, in my opinion, the best ADA compliance suite out there. The site reviews by a screenreader user were particularly effective in answering questions I had about how screenreader users use websites.

  ### 8. AQA is very useful and awesome tool to fix the accessibilities issues and identify the fixes.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad Rashid R. | Technical Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

This tool provides some awesome features which we like as a developer. Following are the few points
1. Suggestions on the content section
2. Validation of HTML tags and W3 standard.
3. Separate analysis for various devices.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

The UI needs some improvement. We need to explore and navigate too much to read and view the issues.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are identifying the accessibility issues and solving fixing those issues using UsableNet AQA.

  ### 9. AQA Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan M. | A, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

The site is easy to understand and use for someone who has never been on it before.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

There was no way to flag the same error occurring on multiple pages at once.

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

Watch the tutorials provided to learn as much as you can before using AQA

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are reviewing and fixing accessibility issues on websites

  ### 10. Comprehensive accessibility testing suite

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

Easily step through the WCAG criteria and add comments to defects. Support team has been great about troubleshooting any issues and providing a solution.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Depending on how the website being tested is set up, workarounds are needed to test the page components. I only ran into this issue with Salesforce websites and UsableNet's developers helped come up with a solution so that I could test the client's site.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing and logging accessibility compliance issues with client websites. Speeds up testing, includes screen reader and keyboard testing options. More easily share compliance data and information with clients, as well as creating JIRA defects for developers.

  ### 11. Very Handy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vladimir G. | Senior Frontend Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

Very convenient way to comply to accessibilities standards, also the code snapshots are good to have in order to troubleshoot offline or in local environments

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

sometimes is a bit confusing what is the element the is causing the misalignment, but at the end identifiable

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

Grouping of the issues could be simpler i think, sometimes the same error showing several times is confusing

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

accessibilities issues to an existing web page, now i have a wider range of users

  ### 12. You right hand to the road of accessibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

I don't need any additional experience to use it and achieve good results.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

I would like something like an interactive tutorial for first-time users, to help them navigate through the interface. The screen where you review issues can be a bit confusing.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using for our website all accessibility standards and increasing our website's accessibility score to improve our SEO score.
Before UsableNet AQA, we needed to have an industry expert to consult us on such topics, and at least half a person was tasked with the QA. With AQA we can just use the tool to get the best of both words in an automated manner.

  ### 13. Excellent tool for Accessibility testing with user friendly features.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

AQA tool is easily customizable to suit different target certification goals with the click of a drop down. All the recommendations are shown with user friendly suggestions and fixes to be done. Available to use in multiple modes.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Nothing in particular. All the recommendations from users are implemented in the newer versions of the tool.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working on multiple certification needs and target goals. AQA helps in listing all the issues with recommended fixes. This tool is much better than many other tools I used for accessibility testing.

  ### 14. Powerful tool for accessibility program managers, plugin useful for developers, too

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

Guided manual review is easy to complete with excellent UX.
Group issues and eliminate duplicate issues by defining common elements.
Custom rulesets.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Room for improvement on reporting options/exports.
Wish it has ability to audit portions of a page instead of always the entire page.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to run audits with different strategies and priorities in mind, e.g. Only high confidence issues, or only color contrast issues, or only keyboard related issues. This helps organize remediation efforts and prevents overwhelming dev teams with mass imports of issues.

  ### 15. A best in class accessibility toolset.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon B. | Front End Development & Accessibility Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

The AQA platform enables you a comprehensive and holistic look at accessibility from all vantage points. It enables an organization to have a top down view of their ongoing WCAG compliance, with best in class automated scanning technology, coupled with a manual audit process that lets you dig into the more nuanced areas of compliance.

The output reporting from AQA is set up in a way that a product manager, developer, tester, or really anyone can have a full understanding of what issues exist and the best way to remediate them. They provide you full access to the specific issue as reported in the AQA platform along with a detailed summary and description of the issue that was found. It's the whole package.

Also, the team at Usablenet are true professionals. Working with them is an absolute pleasure.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

The reports tend to have redundancies in them. There is a manual triage effort required on any report produced to actually distill discovered WCAG violations down to actionable development or design tasks.

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

Do not hesitate to work directly with the professionals at Usablenet, in addition to AQA, they are a fantastic resource to have at your fingertips.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

End to end support for clients including auditing, scanning, and remediation of WCAG violations.

  ### 16. Great product for accessibility scanning and remediation of issues

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

Very convenient to scan the site to look for accessibility issues. My team has been using AQA for 8 months and we went from 0 to 90 in 6 months. This tool really maximizes efficiency

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

I can't think of anything major at the moment. However, it would be great if we can automate the scheduling of multiple scans. For example, run scan every week; or run a scan if we get a new build in the environment, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

It'll be super amazing if UsableNet can provide a tool for mobile native app scanning as well.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To uncover accessibility issues related to web and remediate them in a timely manner. AQA has definitely maximized our team's velocity dealing with issues.

  ### 17. AQA tool review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashwin K. | Marketing Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

Thoroughness of the tool. Gives a detailed overview

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

The reporting can be implroved. Currently, we have reporting at page level. Instead, its good to have it at site level

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

Its a great tool to address accessibility issues

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solve the accessibility issues in or website. We have uncovered all lot issues which wouldn't have been possible with PSAT scan

  ### 18. Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

UI is very intuitive. The chrome extension tool provides great accessibility for when we want to check quickly.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

The AQA options are limited - we should cover all aspects as it relates to AQA.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to catch all A11Y errors in advance of our code deployment.

  ### 19. Useful Platform by Great People

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2020

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

UsableNet's AQA is a visual platform that provides detailed descriptions of what the accessibility issues mean and how to resolve them. I've learned a lot about website accessibility as well as UsableNet's auditing process. The team behind AQA are friendly, very helpful, and committed to client success.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

If you're unfamiliar with AQA, you won't find the platform intuitive to use. What's missing are self-guided tutorials, tooltips that explain the meaning behind the input fields and reports, and a clear flow between screens that tells you what to do (or what's coming) next.

The reports could have more explanation as to what they mean to help agencies like mine educate clients. I found the overall auditing roadmap unclear. I'm very happy with the process and deliverables, but it took going through it once to understand the process. AQA falls short providing a big picture view of what the overall scanning, auditing, and remediation process look like.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to establish a structured service offering around accessibility consultation and remediation based on AQA and UsableNet's auditing process. By working with UsableNet, my company can better communicate what to expect and by when with clients.

  ### 20. Great Software to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

Calls-out all of the Low-Medium-High Audits

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Has issues processing though the shopping carts. Some are no issues, but the complex ones it pauses through the run.

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

N/A

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Things that I did not realize that was key in adding to the website(s)

  ### 21. Intuitive, robust interface without drowning the user in features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2020

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

It's a plus having the ability to run tests in different regions, and the reporting capabilities. The service is also quick and responsive, which is a plus when you're managing 1,200+ websites.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Working with websites pre-launch that are usually behind a firewall is difficult. Also, the reports available would benefit from more explanation. It would be beneficial to get more background information on each report and how we can benefit from their data. I'd like to see a AQA "lite" add-on for our developers' IDE to catch things that may fall out of WCAG guidelines quickly.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It certainly helps us meet our WCAG conformance, and violation turnaround time has been reduced since we launched AQA. We've also incorporated testing into the development lifecycle and set standards that will continuously validate WCAG guidelines. We can better communicate what is required from an accessibility requirements standpoint using AQA results.

  ### 22. AQA such a nice and helpful automation tool Accessibility testing.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nargis S. | ADA Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

AQA creats defects easily. It's time consuming.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Can't upload any screenshots of several defects.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It automated the page and create defects for me.

  ### 23. We use UsableNets AQA tool for all our clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hilton S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2020

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

We love the browser plugin, it allows the developers to work through specific issues on a page in realtime while fixing the issue with our developer tools. It is also a great tool for me to show customers specific issues and discuss how best to resolve them. When we are on calls I can easily share my screen and show them the issue as it appears on the page, not just some abstract report.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

I would like to be able to create reports and see progress over time.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While manual QA is always important the AQA tool has allowed us to move quickly and get a good idea of the state of any new website we start working on as well as provide ADA services at a cost-effective price for our customers.

We have found a good balance and now know where to spend time with manual AQ and where the automated AQA tool is able to cover grown quickly and efficiently.

  ### 24. Essential Tool for QA

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

AQA makes accessibility an easy box to check off as part of our QA process.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Doesn't play nicely with AEM, a lot of components aren't accessible. Also contrast scan isn't very reliable, as if the background is white and the load is lazy, it will flag it as bad contrast even if it's not actually an issue.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure all of our sites are accessible without too much QA effort/needing to hire an accessibility expert.

  ### 25. UsableNet has made ADA compliance a breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2021

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

The support hours and detail they provide on what and how to get things updated to be complaint is amazing.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

The length of time for audits to run sometimes can be a bit, but understandable once you see how much detail is provided after the audit.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using UsableNet to get our website more ADA compliant.

  ### 26. UsableNet AQA - Feed back

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

Updated features of AQA are very user friendly and efficient to use. Ease of use in Chrome and to segregate the validation at page level or website level was user friendly when compared with all other tools used by me in the past as part of my QA validation testing.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Nothing specific. Ability to customize the display colors and look-and-feel will enhance the user perception.

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

UsableNet AQA will help in easily attaining the required compliance for WAG standards.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have only started to address high severity issues.

Many of the problematic areas need to have more examples of compliant vs non-compliant HTML.

We have a pending lawsuit, and UsableNet AQA has helped with assessment and certification.

  ### 30. Feature-rich web accessibility tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2018

**What do you like best about UsableNet AQA?**

Easy-to-use tool with lots of features. Quarterly release of new features and functionality based on the feedback from customers. The segregation of each issue and the detailed reports really helps our developers to identify and fix the issues. This also helps our manual assessment team to verify issues that needs manual checking.

**What do you dislike about UsableNet AQA?**

Slow in bypassing CAPTCHA which I understand as google is preventing robots to access the page. Another I dislike and hopefully will be addressed soon is that there's no localization of the tool (only english UI and not available for other languages such as Chinese or Japanese).

**Recommendations to others considering UsableNet AQA:**

Request for a trial and play around with the tool. From there, you will experience the features and how intuitive the tool is. Ask questions or request a feature/function that your company needs as the team is receptive for suggestions.

**What problems is UsableNet AQA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AQA UI is very intuitive and easy to use. New users can learn how to use AQA in a short period of time. Accessibility reports are easy to read and understand and provide details and recommendation on how to fix the issues.
