What I like most about UpToDate is that it provides reliable, evidence-based medical information in one place. The content is written and reviewed by experts, which makes it trustworthy for clinical decision-making. It also saves time by giving quick, clear summaries that are easy to apply in practice. Where do I begin? I use this product every single day I'm at work and some days when I'm not. This is an incredible tool for health care providers of all sorts who want to stay up to date (lol) on data, treatment plans, etc., for their patients. I have literally zero complaints. It is easy to digest, well laid out, and stays modified with the latest data to treat my patients efficiently and correctly with the standard of care. I was told this would be useful when I first began my schooling, but after graduating and starting to practice, it is safe to say it is the best. UpToDate is essential software that makes the practice of medicine far easier than it otherwise would be. UpToDate provides a wealth of information, including etiology, prevalence, common presentation, differential diagnosis, evidence-based management, and treatment algorithms. Each section is cited with relevant articles and studies that users can reference to examine the validity of specific management approaches. Additionally, UpToDate offers a significant amount of information about nearly every drug that is prescribed in the United States -- data ranges from typical dosages to pediatric dosages to adverse effects to drug-drug interactions to pregnancy classification. While the online side of UpToDate is terrific, the mobile application is a bit more challenging to navigate. It contains all the same critical information -- symptoms, differential diagnoses, management algorithms, drug dosages -- but it is all a bit more clustered and difficult to find. Overall the mobile app experience is suitable, but it isn't exceptional. Other applications, such as Epocrates, offer a far more streamlined experience for searching drug dosages, for example.
