"Smooth, Distraction-Free Writing—But Missing Advanced Features"
What do you like best about typora?

What's great about Typora is its smooth writing experience. The fact that it hides the Markdown code and shows the result live (the "What You See Is What You Mean" principle) makes writing truly enjoyable. There are no distractions, the interface is minimalist, and this allows you to focus on the text. Plus, it handles exporting to PDF or Word exceptionally well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about typora?

The problem is that it's very minimalist. It lacks advanced features or customization options found in some competitors' offerings. For example, a split screen to view the code and the final result side-by-side. And since it became a paid service, the lack of certain major feature updates can be a bit of a deterrent. "The convenience and smooth experience I’ve found using Typora"
What do you like best about typora?

As soon as I open Typora, I appreciate its clean design and quick startup. The rich keyboard shortcuts help me stay focused, and I love the focus and typewriter modes, which gently highlight the paragraph I’m working on. Plus, it’s easy to create diagrams with Markdown and export my notes to PDF, HTML, EPUB, and more, so preparing reports or sharing my work is always effortless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about typora?

For my daily tasks — mostly writing, formatting, and exporting — I haven’t encountered any bugs or issues. The app has been stable and fully meets my expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not the best markdown editor for developers, but quite good"
What do you like best about typora?

- It has native support for all mardown related features like bold, italic, code blocks, headings etc.

- One of the things it has which other editors don't have is support for mermaid diagrams. We use mermaid diagrams a lot in our org. So, it's a lifesaver.

- You can have GitHub style tables as well.

- While writing code, you can enable/disable showing line nos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about typora?

- The fact that Typora became paid without informing users was surprising.

- It feels less made for developers, and seems like a general-purpose editor.

- Editors like VS Code have a lot more features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple distraction free text editor"
What do you like best about typora?

The product is simple to use. I can type mark-down and it is reflected automatically in the text editor without any preview mode, etc. I can create lists, tables, etc easily which is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about typora?

The syntax takes a while to get used to like the code fences, code blocks, etc. It is not a fully fleshed-out text editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"How good is typora"
What do you like best about typora?

* Very optimized editor for writters.

* No distractions due to unwanted features.

* best editor for content creators and bloggers.

* You can easily add formatting elements to plain text.

* available for Windows, Linux and Mac. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about typora?

*Typora offers a lifetime plan for $14.99, which is worth it but many users are not able to use this optimal editor only because it is paid software. it should include some more plans for users who want to use it for a small period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Improved a lot from its initial release"
What do you like best about typora?

It's minimal style and has grown from its initial release, especially when the theming feature and the ability to use latex for mathematical formulae was rolled out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about typora?

Typora has worked flawlessly for me till now, and there have been no issues yet. If there was a way to customize your theme more, like changing only individual parts or giving access to API's that change the styles of some components would have been nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
