## Twine Reviews
  ### 1. Easy to learn software for creating games

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seth J. | Senior Lecturer of Biology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Twine?**

I like how easy it is to use Twine. I was able to get started right away and learn as I created more games. There's a great support community out there for it.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

It is a bit confusing as to what version you should learn to use. Once you've started in one language, it's challenging to switch.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm writing interactive fiction games, similar to old gamebooks, but digital. I get a bit of money from donations, but I mostly use it for my creative outlet.

  ### 2. Company Intranet Site

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Twine?**

The accessibility and how it is user friendly

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

I wish it had more of an employee directory type people section

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Haven't experienced any problems yet. The benefits are that our employees are able to connect on a much bigger platform

  ### 3. Easy to stand up cloud-based, light intranet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt G. | Director of Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Twine?**

We're in the early stages of deployment and evaluation but so far Twine has proven to be easy to use, simple to stand up, and well priced. The customer support is fast and chat-driven and I've had hands-on help during set up and onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

I wish there was a bit less need for the pretty stuff to require HTML and CSS but it's nice that it's offered.

**Recommendations to others considering Twine:**

Give the trial a go for free. Initial sales demo is slow but informative. Platform is pretty intuitive and will probably serve us for our next phase of growth.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As our company has scaled, storing and searching for information and finding the right customer-facing documentation or internal how-to is becoming difficult, slow, and fragmented. Our information lives in too many locations as well as just in peoples' brains, and we needed a central hub for all of that to reside. Someone recommended Twine to me so I signed up for a demo.

So far the search works great and my team is enjoying filling twine up with our collective knowledge.

  ### 4. Twine has been really helpful in streamlining the Internal communication process for us.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Utsav K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Twine?**

The way stories can be presented for the consumption of our associates is one of the most amazing features in Twine. We can communicate in a much better way using Twine as compared to other platforms. It has also acted as a platform for building a community in the organization.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

Nothing in particular to dislike about Twine. Notifications for Polls would be amazing.

**Recommendations to others considering Twine:**

This is one of the best platforms for creating a community in your organization. You can do a lot with Twine to keep your teams engaged and aligned. Story tellers can use the platform to reach out to the whole organization. All formal and Informal communication can have one address.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have streamlined our Internal communication process with Twine. So much so that we even launched our Mission and Vision on Twine and have been communicating through it for reinforcing our values. We are also able to measure engagement on our communication to some extent.

  ### 5. Awesome tool for connecting our team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris H. | Managing Director | Online Recruitment Software, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

Twine is really easy to get on with – the interface is simple and the functionality not overcomplicated. It strikes a balance between keeping things simple, but also packing enough of a punch in terms of features. The Twine team have done a great job supporting us too – they're always on hand for any problems and feedback.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

Twine is a great fit for us so we're yet to find much we dislike. The team are always open to our suggestions for improvements and we've seen a fair few of them implemented. The recent GDrive integration has really helped us.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before, we had the issue that important policies were scattered in a bunch of file systems and wikis, along with our staff working from a few different places. Twine brings all these things into one spot.

We've found it particularly good for new starters. On their first day, they can head to Twine and know exactly who's who, what's going on and read a dedicated 'New Starter' handbook.

  ### 6. Twine is a Valuable Service with Amazing Customer Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Resa O. | Engineer, Biotechnology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

Twine has a ton of features that I have come to rely on but one of my favorite things about Twine is the customer service. The customer service team at Twine are some of the best - most helpful, friendly and knowledgeable that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I can rest easy knowing that any question I might have or any issue I might be experiencing with Twine will be handled immediately and professionally by the Twine team. Since we use Twine as intranet for internal employees, we heavily rely on it on a daily basis and we need that customer support to be on point... and it is. They go out of their way to ensure we are satisfied every time we communicate and we can get a hold of them via phone, chat or email... so convenient.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

I like Twine because if there is anything we might not be happy with - I can bring it up to customer service and they literally take steps to fix the issue and have even gone as far as to take my suggestions into consideration when making upgrades. Some things that I would like Twine to offer in the future that they don’t have now is the ability to like/unlike posts and the ability to tag other users in comments. While these two things may seem small, they are important and would be a helpful addition to Twine for my company.

**Recommendations to others considering Twine:**

I recommend that if you are considering Twine, take advantage of the free trial period that it offers. The free trial will allow you to get the full Twine experience free of charge before you take the plunge and purchase Twine.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without a private, in-house IT team supporting us, keeping an intranet running and up to date has proven to be quite the task. We were always needing to call outside support for technical issues or when updates needed to be made that we didn’t have the knowledge or ability to do ourselves. When we discovered Twine, it solved all of these problems. Since Twine comes with its own support, we never have to worry about any issues in keeping the intranet functioning. In the end, Twine has saved a ton of time and money since we no longer need to hire a company each time we need assistance with our intranet.

  ### 7. Excellent at both communication and engagement!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catrin F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

As an admin, this platform has been extremely easy to use. Even the most computer illiterate person can use it! The homepage is very clear and can be tailored to your requirements.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

There's nothing I dislike as such. It would be useful if the latest announcement is posted to the top rather than to the bottom - this means that we have to delete all the announcements and re-post them in the order we want which can be time consuming. Other than that I'm very pleased with the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Twine:**

The support that comes with Twine is second to none. Rob and his team answer any issues or queries within 20 minutes and are always on top of things. We were between Twine and another company just because we wanted a featured that enabled us to congratulate and endorse colleagues. Twine recognised this and have been working tirelessly to make this a reality for us. We're excited to see the finished product that meets all of our needs!

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been extremely pleased with the level of colleague engagement. Before Twine we struggled with communicating and making a noise about important news to the whole of the business. Twine has more than solved this problem! No employee can ever complain they 'haven't heard about this' or they 'haven't been invited to that' because the answer is always - it's on the intranet!

  ### 8. A Pleasant Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

Twine is such an easy platform to use just for the sheer simplicity of it, its a very easy platform to navigate as a user and as an administrator is very easy to administrate. It also has a lot of features that we hadn't originally scoped for but after discovering we made full use of.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

We haven't really had a bad experience with Twine as such, Twine are very proactive with updates and we have had one or two updates that have a caused a bug but it gets resolved quickly once identified. The support team are very knowledgeable of their product and very friendly in any correspondence.

**Recommendations to others considering Twine:**

Its a very powerful tool that is fit for purpose and very easy to deploy in house.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a document library that was in an Excel format with hyperlinks to documents, it quickly grew into a heavy resource so we needed a more robust solution.

Twine was brilliant for this as not only did it solve our issue with our document library it also gave us access to a whole heap of tools we didn't know we had such as a staff directory, publishing news updates, staff polls and feeds.

  ### 9. Twine has drastically improved company communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

Easy of use. The system is extremely intuitive and modern. I very rarely run into issues or have reports from colleagues that are having difficulties. The library functionality is extremely important to us as it serves as our central library for all company documentation. Also really like the people area, easy to search for staff and to find their extension number to make a quick call.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

Nothing i particularly dislike but the system does have a few limitations, which we have fed back to Twine. Multiple authors on posts would be nice, being able to date order documents, calendar integration with Outlook.

**Recommendations to others considering Twine:**

Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication has improved significantly. All company news is now posted as a news post on Twine, all staff get notified of this new post and are able to read it. There's now no excuse for people not knowing what is going on inside our business as it is freely available to all via twine. It's also become an area where we can easily get feedback on anything we've done via the forms area or polls, very useful. The people area solved the problem we had with regards to a staff directory, so that has been really great too.

  ### 10. A no-fuss intranet solution that works well straight out of the box

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosey A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

Twine is a great Intranet solution for Small to Medium businesses. It provides enough personalisation, without getting overly complex.
There is some fantasic functionality and the Twine team are very responsive to feature requests and development. We have lots of ideas of how to expand the use of Twine across different parts of the business.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

The content text styles are a little restricted, but it does keep the site clean and tidy.

**Recommendations to others considering Twine:**

Moving content around is really easy with Twine, but it is best to have a plan for your 'Knowledge' area before you start. Consider how to tidy up and freshen up your content. The opportunity of reviewing and updating the look and feel of the company information is beneficial.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can now keep all our company knowledge up to date, organised and searchable. Staff are able to find the information they need to get on with their jobs.

  ### 11. Twine is a great tool for company communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shayna W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

Twine has a very responsive team who are always open to feature requests and give very personalized attention. In the seven months I have been using it they have made some great updates and I have seen some of my feature requests come to life

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

There are a couple of limitations with the system, but they have been brought up and will be changed in the future.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a global company with remote employees, Twine is great for keeping everyone "in the know" about what is happening at our different offices. My favorite feature is the Knowledge widget, it's great for housing documents and files in one place the categories are totally customizable, and you can add key search terms so people can search to find anything they need.

  ### 12. Great product and a great team!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa M. | Knowledge Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

The UX/UI is so very streamlined and user-friendly, we don't really need to do training as most employees are able to train themselves.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

Would like to see a bit more capabilities around org charts and document controls. Overall though, very little to dislike since the Twine team is very open to customer feedback.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Twine functions as an intranet for our organization, allowing us to quickly share news with all employees, spanning multiple locations, as well as a document reposition and internal knowledge management system.

  ### 13. Great and easy to use!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ada I. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

It's really easy and simple to use.

The support from the Twine team is great, we had weekly calls prior to launch to ensure we launched on time and even if we have any questions now they are answered quickly,

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

There are a few things we have asked for which I believe are in the pipeline, for example;
- Liking comments
- Ability to load documents in bulk
- Tagging people in comments
- Upload images in share post section

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Twine as an Employee Intranet for our company is great for communication. We are able to update everyone in the company at the same time.

  ### 14. Easy to use Intranet

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harv N. | Group Director of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

Twine is quick to deploy and very easy to use. Additionally, the support team is very responsive, striving to quickly resolve issues and are open to feedback and feature requests.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

Some UX optimisations could be made to improve the experience for admins and end-users alike.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Twine has helped us create a centralised knowledge base for our agency including how-to guides and company policies. Additionally, it's provided a central place for us to share the work we're doing with colleagues, which is especially useful as we're not all located in a single country.

  ### 15. Great basic off the shelf product - excellent support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenny S. | HR Manager, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

Ease of setting up
People at Twine are fantastic - support has been brilliant
Helpful, suggesting ideas and keeping project going

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

Visually it is a little flat and not very dynamic. The Homepage needs to be more enagaging.
You can only upload one document at a time which means it is a time consuming process.
No ability to have branded links to other platforms - would look slicker with them

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One source of information
communication vehicle instead of filling up inbox with email
engagement - interactive

  ### 16. Amazing and Agile

Collaboration and sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Twine?**

Very good support given whilst developing our intranet and after implementation with access to key people and product updates.

**What do you dislike about Twine?**

There were a couple of little bits of development that we would have liked that were not available, but nothing that fundamentally changed our product.

**What problems is Twine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offering an intranet to all staff members.

  ### 19. Best collaboration I've used so far
