**What do you like best about Triplebyte Screen?**

What I like is that Triplebyte offers a clever way of validating candidates' knowledge through multiple choice questions - which is both quick/easy for candidates and provides an objective comparison between candidates for us. I was looking for platforms that would support data science, statistics, and machine learning, and couldn't find anything appropriate. Triplebyte helps us hire great candidates. It ticks all the boxes for me.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte Screen?**

Some candidates still want to do a practice session and are then surprised to see the score already filled in. I think it's the right way to not let them practice and get an unfair advantage. It's really difficult to know how to deal with these kind of "workarounds" where people sign up with a different email address to get practice.

**What problems is Triplebyte Screen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to get objective evaluations of candidates' performance and knowledge in areas relevant to data science. It's easy to get swayed by candidates' personalities rather than by their actual knowledge. This helps us to get objective numbers behind our overall assessments.

**What do you like best about Triplebyte Screen?**

I know gamechanger is weird corpo speak but I really think it applies here.  Almost every technical interview right now relies on toy greenfield problems, when in fact that job is mostly reading other people's code and understanding it, expanding it, or fixing bugs with it.  And that's exactly what Triplebyte tests.  Beyond the core product being so great, the tools for me to manage candidate flow are great, and it has been near seamless working the test process into the multiple applicant tracking systems I've used.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte Screen?**

No real complaints, especially at this price point.  I have given feedback before to the Triplebyte team and they've taken action on it before - I felt like one of the tests had too short of a time limit and they ended up increasing it.  I do wish there were more test types available - they have great coverage for software engineering roles and have expanded out into data science, but so far don't have a good solution for QA.  Every time I open up a QA role I get like 500 applicants, so unattended screening would be a huge boon there.

For junior engineering positions we get a ton of applicants, many of whom have resumes that pattern match to people who have done horribly in our interviews in the past.   Triplebyte lets me search for the diamond in the rough among those resumes instead of just rejecting everyone for interview capacity reasons.

It's been a good platform and have a high potential to disrupt the market.  I love they are solving a real problem that's of broken recruitment process, Triplebyte can be a serious contender for growth in the segment

It's been a relatively new product the usability is limited not many beginners level features are provided for testing before actually using the product.I would have also loved if more support in terms of usability is produced in videos and infographics to help the user understand the entire flow.

Tests are thorough and extensive. It tests a lot of aspects of the candidates' knowledge of the subject. I like the timed coding part. Good job.

**What do you dislike about Triplebyte Screen?**

Candidates find the questions difficult to understand. Maybe simpler English would be better given I am from a country where not everyone speaks English.
The result rating is ambiguous. I cant review which questions the candidate answered right and which ones they got wrong.
For some of the tests, I don't get a detailed result at all.
I don't know how much time the candidate spent on taking the test.
I do not know if it was actually the candidate who took the test or someone else. Maybe a few pictures taken at random times during the test might help.

Online Tests for the candidates and the verification of the answers reduced my hiring efforts by over 50% of initial screening.  Also multiple screening is possible with the same URL is excellent for any company to go ahead and use them for the first technical round before calling the interview.  Javascript questions are amazing on the coding, and the understanding of the candidates can be checked easily.

I would like to have more of LAMP, PHP, and MySql questions in the future.

if candidates don't attempt any test module then it shows only that candidate started the test , so we never get his status that he hasn't completed it, so instead of that it should not allow a candidate to submit an unfinished test or at least they should notify the consequences of doing it

Triplebyte Screen is focused on full-stack backend and mobile developers and doesn't offer test types for embedded systems engineers at this time. I'd like to see more test types added so Screen can be even more useful in hiring.

Screen lets you get a quick idea of whether a candidate actually knows how to code. Sure, it's imperfect, but it's far *less* imperfect than the in-person coding challenges we've given in the past.

We can send Tryplebyte form to your candidate and have a good and complete (360) evalutation of your candidat.
We use a as a quick, bias-less tool to evaluate our backend developper. It save us a lot of time + help us to assess candidats strong.
The test is short enougth to don't take too much time to our candidat.

It's missing some tech stack (VueJS, React Native). It could be great to have some way to create our own test.
ML test provide sometimes some strange result (tested during 20Q3)

We use Screen as the first step in our technical interview process. It's been a super effective low pass filter: about 20% of candidates pass that quiz. It's materially improved our ability to work through our interview pipeline.

Some of the questions aren't particularly relevant to what we're looking for, and there's no easy way to exclude those questions.

As a small engineering team, we unfortunately don't have the time to have a call with every applicant we get. Instead of filtering by resume, which is prone to bias, we use Screen to get a more objective picture of our applicant's skills before spending any time with them. It's markedly improved the quality of our interview pipeline!
