Google Translate Voice enables users to hear and see a translation of any word, term, or phrase they input in the app. Users can speak the word or phrase they want to translate as well as writing it. This is a very handy app for people who travel often, whether for pleasure or business. It does a very good job overall and is very helpful. Because Google Translate translates in real time (right away), you can hold a conversation with someone (as long as the topic is relatively simple). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with all machine translations, translations on Translate Voice are not perfect and may not be 100% accurate. Translate Voice specifically has issues with colloquialisms. But other than that, it is a great tool for translating items when on vacation or business trips. I am bilingual in French and English and it does a very good gob overall translating from one language to the other. I have also used this tool when translating documents for the Immigration Clinic at St. Thomas and while I do not always use what Google comes up with, it sometimes helped me to get "unstuck" when translating materials.
