"Translate Voice Does a Good Job Overall"

What do you like best about Translate Voice?

Google Translate Voice enables users to hear and see a translation of any word, term, or phrase they input in the app. Users can speak the word or phrase they want to translate as well as writing it. This is a very handy app for people who travel often, whether for pleasure or business. It does a very good job overall and is very helpful. Because Google Translate translates in real time (right away), you can hold a conversation with someone (as long as the topic is relatively simple). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Translate Voice?

As with all machine translations, translations on Translate Voice are not perfect and may not be 100% accurate. Translate Voice specifically has issues with colloquialisms. But other than that, it is a great tool for translating items when on vacation or business trips. I am bilingual in French and English and it does a very good gob overall translating from one language to the other. I have also used this tool when translating documents for the Immigration Clinic at St. Thomas and while I do not always use what Google comes up with, it sometimes helped me to get "unstuck" when translating materials. Recommendations to others considering Translate Voice:

Remember that machine translation may not always be accurate, especially when it comes to colloquialisms. But overall you can trust the translations that deal with easy common matters and words. You can count on Google to translate things immediately which enables users to have "conversations" with others in real time when in a different country. This is extremely helpful for those who travel often for pleasure or business. I have been very happy with this tool and highly recommend it. Just remember, if you are using it to translate long documents, have a native speaker proofread the documents as the system still makes mistakes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Translate Voice solving and how is that benefiting you?

This tool comes in handy when completing translations for clients (in my case, clients at the Immigration Clinic at St. Thomas School of Law) and double-checking the meaning of terms. While the tool is not perfect, it does provide a great starting point. It helped me get "unstuck" when I was struggling with difficult terms and phrases. This tool would also come in very handy when vacationing or traveling for business as it is extremely easy to use. What do you like best about Translate Voice?

Translate Voice is unlike most other translators where you have to type out what you want to say. It lets you speak in your native language, and the app transcribes your words into your desired language. It takes out most of the legwork of translating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Translate Voice?

App crashes and freezes up often. Also there is a daily limit on the amount of translations the app will do for you. I think that is a drawback for gaining long-term users of the app, but in my opinion the cost to upgrade to the paid version is well worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Translate Voice:

It's great to practice learning another language, because it eliminates all of the work associated with typing. Literally all you have to do is speak into your phone and the app does the work. Give it a try! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Translate Voice solving and how is that benefiting you?

Translate voice allows me to easily communicate with potential clients on Offer Up and Etsy who don't speak or write english as their first language. I'm able to sell to people who I would not have been able to without assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
