Trackost Reviews & Product Details

Trackost is inventory and cost-of-goods (COGS) software for handmade makers: soap, candle, cosmetics, jewelry and food-gift businesses selling on Etsy, Shopify and Faire. Sales platforms report what sold, not what it cost to make, so costs drift and a bestseller can quietly lose money. Trackost keeps one live per-unit cost. Purchases re-average material cost, with shipping, tax and discounts spread across lines as landed cost. Multi-level recipes (bills of materials) re-price with wastage, labor and overhead. Production batches consume materials and snapshot their cost. Orders record per-line COGS and fees, and returns reverse cleanly. Reports cover P&L, profit per product and channel, inventory valuation and a Schedule C COGS worksheet, with CSV export. One flat plan, never metered on orders, with unlimited materials, products and team members. To switch, send your spreadsheet or Craftybase exports and the migration is done for you, free, on every plan.
